University of Macau joins CARSI

Starting today, the University of Macau will begin a preliminary trial of connecting to the China Education and Research Network Federation Authentication and Resource Sharing Infrastructure (CARSI).
CARSI services were initiated by Peking University Computing Center in 2006 and managed by China Education and Research Computer Network CERNET Network Center. Peking University Computing Center developed and provided technical support, while CERNET Corp. provided daily operations and user services. Based on the Shibboleth middleware technology led by Internet2, that supports the SAML protocol. This middleware is widely adopted by multiple national research and education networks NREN (National Research and Education Network) internationally. Additionally, as a member of the international identity alliance organization eduGAIN, CARSI makes it more standardized and convenient to access global educational research resources.
Currently, UM staff and students can directly use their UMPASS account to gain trial access to domestic and international electronic resources and databases via CARSI.

Simple Steps:
- Visit the above website and select ‘Resources‘.
- Click ‘CARSI Login’.
- Input university: University of Macau, click ‘Sign in’.
- Login with your UMPASS user ID and password

即日起，澳門大學初步試點接入 中國教育和科研計算機網聯邦認証與資源共享基礎設施（CARSI）。
CARSI服務由北京大學計算中心於2006年發起，由中國教育和科研計算機網CERNET網絡中心管理，北京大學計算中心研發並提供技術支援，賽爾網絡有限公司提供日常運行和用戶服務。基於下一代互聯網組織Internet2 主導的Shibboleth中間件技術，支援SAML協定。該中間件被國際上多個國家級研究與教育網絡NREN（National Research and Education Network）普遍採用。同時CARSI 也是國際身份聯盟組織eduGAIN 會員，使得中國高校獲得全球範圍內的教育科研資源更加規範和便利。
現在，澳門大學師生可以直接使用UMPASS帳號，通過CARSI獲得試用國內外電子資源和資料庫。

- 打開以上網站，選取” 应用资源”
- 選取登錄CARSI
- 輸入高校: 澳门大学（University of Macau），按”登录”
- 在UMPASS 內登入你的帳戶和密碼便可

End of Service for Microsoft Stream (Classic) on February 29, 2024
irwinai2024-03-01T00:03:15+08:00Microsoft Stream (known as Stream Classic) is a video service provided by Microsoft 365. It services as a tool for embedding video in UMMoodle. Microsoft has announced that it will be retired on February 29, 2024.
After retirement date, videos hosted on Microsoft Stream will no longer be accessible. For users who have uploaded videos to Microsoft Stream, it is recommended to download the videos as backup. ICTO will send a reminder email to users individually.
As replacement, you can use YuJa to upload video to course of UMMoodle.

Microsoft Stream（又名 Stream Classic）是 Microsoft 365 提供的視頻服務。它作為在 UMMoodle 中嵌入視頻的工具。 Microsoft 已宣布它將於 2024 年 2 月 29 日停止服務。
在停止服務日期後，託管在 Microsoft Stream 上的視頻將無法訪問。對於曾經上傳視頻到 Microsoft Stream 的用戶，我們建議下載視頻作為備份。資訊及通訊科技部將會逐一向用戶發送提示電郵。
作為替代，您可以使用 YuJa 將視頻上傳到 UMMoodle 的課程。
