澳大學生會舉辦紀念五四運動青年峰會

為慶祝中華人民共和國成立75周年、澳門特别行政區成立25周年,以及紀念“五四運動”105周年,澳門大學學生會舉辦一連五天的第26屆青年領袖峰會,內地及澳門多所高等院校學生會及聯會的學生領袖參與。

活動籌委會主席兼澳大學生會副理事長李正賢在開幕禮致辭表示,五四青年領袖峰會舉辦多年,是澳大學生會的標誌性活動,已成為澳門與內地大學學生交流互動、攜手進步、砥礪奮發、共同成長的重要平台。多年來活動能夠行之有效,有賴校方以及一眾贊助單位的支持。今屆峰會適逢慶祝中華人民共和國成立75周年暨澳門特別行政區回歸祖國25周年,使活動別具意義。作為新一代青年,有責任繼承和發揚愛國愛澳的精神。

活動合共舉辦三場論壇。其中青年大講壇的主題為“澳門回歸祖國後的融合與發展機遇”,由中華全國工商業聯合會執委林家偉主講。他提到澳門的產業現狀和1+4融合發展的創新模式,介紹澳門與內地人士在澳創業的各項政策措施,並提到政府怎樣以各種援助計劃與創業平台鼓勵創新創業,認為相關政策有利未來人才發展創業,澳門未來可期。高校代表認為,當下是機遇與挑戰並存的時代,林家偉的講話不僅提高了在座青年的創業激情,也為創新創業提供了渠道。

青年論壇一的主題是“澳門回歸祖國的歷程以及澳門特別行政區成立的重大意義”,由澳大澳門研究中心主任林玉鳯主講。林玉鳳以其深度參與的澳門回歸口述史作切入點,分享七位代表性人物及其自身經歷,將澳門回歸前後的歷史娓娓道來。高校代表感謝林玉鳯慷慨分享澳門回歸的所見所感,栩栩如生地展現了歷史時刻的點滴,讓未能目睹澳門回歸盛況的年輕人也能一聽特區成立的故事,感受到澳門回歸祖國懷抱的喜悅。

青年論壇二的主題是“澳門基本法的主要內容以及‘一國兩制’政策的實踐特色”,澳大法學院憲法與基本法研究中心主任駱偉建和全國青年聯合會委員崔天立帶來精彩演講。高校代表表示,主講嘉賓們的專業知識和深入分析讓他們更好地理解澳門在法制建設和政治實踐方面的成就和挑戰,深刻感受到“一國兩制”為澳門帶來的不僅是政治上的穩定,更是經濟、社會、文化等多方面的發展機遇。

高校代表總結時表示,“75年風雨征程,25載濠江波瀾",相信澳門未來一定會繼續創造出更多輝煌的成就。青年們將一同攜手為中華民族偉大復興的中國夢貢獻青春力量。高校代表又指,活動讓與會的學生更充分了解澳門特色,更肯定了自身的價值和發展方向。

此外,大會亦舉行了多項文化交流活動,包括組織與會者參觀澳門博物館、探索歷史城區、參與交流晚宴等,加深與會者對澳門的認識,也增進了澳大學生與內地學生的友誼。

出席開幕禮的嘉賓還包括中聯辦教育與青年工作部高校處副處長徐之平,教育及青年發展局學生廳廳長陳旭偉,澳大副校長莫啓明,澳門青年聯合會理事長黃家倫,密利拿莊園農業進出口有限公司行政總裁助理、澳門中葡青年文化體育交流協會會長伍嘉敏等。

UMSU holds May Fourth Youth Summit

The University of Macau Students’ Union (UMSU) organised the 26th May Fourth Youth Summit to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao SAR, and to commemorate the 105th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement. The five-day summit brought together student leaders from student unions of higher education institutions and student associations in Macao and mainland China.

The summit featured three forums, each dedicated to a specific theme. Lam Ka Vai, member of the executive committee of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, gave a talk on Macao’s development opportunities after its return to the motherland. Agnes Lam, director of the Centre for Macau Studies at UM, took the stage in a separate forum and talked about Macao’s return to the motherland and the significance of the establishment of the Macao SAR. In another forum, Lok Wai Kin, director of the Centre for Constitutional Law and Basic Law Studies of the Faculty of Law at UM, and Chui Tinlop, member of the All-China Youth Federation, discussed the main content of the Basic Law of the Macao SAR and the implementation of the ‘one country, two systems’ policy.

In addition, a series of cultural exchange activities, including visits to the Macao Museum and the Historic Centre of Macao, as well as networking dinners, were organised to deepen the participants’ understanding of Macao and to strengthen the friendship between students from UM and mainland universities.

華東師範大學校長錢旭紅今(7)日率代表團訪問澳門大學,獲澳大校長宋永華熱情接待。雙方進行了深入的座談交流,期望共同推動滬澳兩地教師教育合作。

宋永華表示,澳大秉承“立足澳門,共建灣區,融入國家,走向世界”的發展定位,致力為澳門、為國家培養更多愛國愛澳人才,助力教育強國建設。華東師範大學是澳大重要的合作夥伴,多年來兩校在師生交流、書院互動、聯合學術及科研等方面都有著豐碩的合作成果,其中更在數學教育領域合作開辦雙學士學位項目。展望未來,期望兩校繼續優勢互補,攜手推進各學科領域、尤其在教師教育領域的合作深化,共同推動優秀研究型教育專業人才聯合培養,為實現“建教育強國”和“以教育強國”的偉大事業作出貢獻。

President of East China Normal University leads delegation to visit UM

A delegation led by Qian Xuhong, president of East China Normal University (ECNU), visited the University of Macau (UM) today (7 May) and was warmly received by UM Rector Yonghua Song. The two parties held in-depth discussions, with a view to jointly promoting cooperation between Shanghai and Macao in the field of teacher training.

Song said that UM is committed to nurturing talent who love the country and Macao, and to building a strong educational system. Over the years, UM and ECNU have enjoyed fruitful cooperation in terms of student and faculty exchanges, college activities, as well as joint academic and research projects. The two universities have also jointly launched a dual bachelor’s degree programme in mathematics education. He hopes that UM and ECNU will continue to complement each other’s strengths and promote deeper cooperation in various disciplines, especially in the field of teacher training, and the joint cultivation of outstanding research-oriented education professionals. The delegation also visited the University Gallery, the UM Library, the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine and Henry Fok Pearl Jubilee College, and spoke highly of UM’s development.

澳大學生於資訊科技賽獲獎

澳門大學科技學院學生團隊代表澳門參與“第八屆華為資訊與通訊科技(ICT)技能競賽2023—2024亞太區決賽”,與亞太地區13個國家與地區的6,400多位頂尖學生競逐,並在雲端賽道中取得二等獎。澳大團隊將代表澳門競逐5月在深圳舉行的全球總決賽。

是次賽事在印尼雅加達舉行,以“連結、榮耀、未來”為主題,共設創新、網路、雲端、運算4條賽道。繼去年勝出“華為資訊與通訊科技(ICT)技能競賽澳門站”後,澳大科技學院學生黃育強、周文杰和解戴旭在指導教授、澳大協同創新研究院數據科學研究中心主任及科技學院電腦及資訊科學系副教授余亮豪協助下,成功代表澳門在雲端賽道比賽中奪得二等獎。

獲獎的澳大學生均表示,通過參與是次競賽,不僅在實踐提升了ICT技能,更在跨文化交流中拓展了全球視野,進一步提升了解決複雜問題和創新應用的能力。

比賽由華為與東協基金會聯合舉辦,旨在增強青年學生的資訊與通訊技術知識和實踐技能,考驗學生共同解決實際情境中的問題。

UM students win second prize in information communications technology competition

A team of students from the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) of the University of Macau (UM) represented Macao in the 8th Huawei ICT Competition Asia Pacific 2023-2024 and won the second prize in the Cloud Track. The UM team will participate in the global final of the competition in Shenzhen in May.

The competition, held in Jakarta, Indonesia, witnessed the participation of over 6,400 top students from 14 countries and regions in Asia Pacific. Under the theme ‘Connection, Glory, and Future’, the competition included four tracks: Innovation, Network, Cloud, and Computing. The UM team, comprising FST students Wong Iok Keong, Zhou Wenjie and Xie Daixu who won the regional competition in Macao last year, competed in the Asia Pacific final under the guidance of U Leong Hou, head of the Centre for Data Science of the Institute of Collaborative Innovation and associate professor in the Department of Computer and Information Science of FST at UM.

澳大成功研發提升乳癌療效藥物

澳門大學健康科學學院副教授代雲路的研究團隊成功研發出一種新型放療增敏納米藥物,能夠顯著提升放療對乳腺癌的治療效果。這種納米藥物不僅增強了放療的功效,還能逆轉放療所引發的MYC上調和免疫抑制,從而激發出強力的抗腫瘤免疫反應,有效抑制乳腺癌生長、復發及轉移。該研究成果已獲全球著名學術期刊《先進材料》刊登。

放療在臨床上對於腫瘤抑制雖然有效,但患者常常會遭受嚴重的免疫耐受和免疫抑制,主要是因為癌細胞在接受放射線治療後,會增加MYC蛋白的表達。這種蛋白質可以修復輻照引發的脱氧核醣核酸(DNA)損傷,從而促進癌細胞的增殖並抑制 IFN-I 型干擾素信號通路。受損的IFN-I 信號進一步阻礙抗原呈遞,干擾細胞毒性 T 淋巴細胞的激活,並觸發腫瘤相關調節性 T 細胞的擴增。MYC蛋白過度表達所帶來的這些連鎖效應極大地抑制了放療效果。因此,降低腫瘤細胞中MYC水平可克服關鍵的免疫抑制障礙,並引發強大的免疫放療效果。

研究團隊設計了一種新型納米放射增敏劑(PWAI),目的是引發放療中的雙表觀遺傳學重編程。在PWAI合成過程中,兩親性PEG-多酚聚合物能與放療增敏劑(鎢離子,W6+)通過金屬-多酚配位的方法自組裝成核殼結構,並將5-Aza(DNA甲基轉移酶抑制劑)和ITF-2357(組蛋白去乙酰化酶抑制劑)負載到疏水核中。

在外來輻射的刺激下,X射線增敏劑 W6+ 通過產生豐富的活性氧有效地破壞了腫瘤細胞的DNA鏈;同時,釋放的表觀遺傳抑制劑用於抑制MYC蛋白。在雙重表觀遺傳學治療過程中,5-Aza雖然下調了MYC蛋白,但並未明顯觸發IFN-α/IFN-β等免疫因子的產生。當其與 ITF-2357 聯合使用時,可顯著促進對 MYC 的抑制作用;更重要的是,IFN-α和IFN-β 等IFN-I 信號相關蛋白水平和主要組織相容性復合物 I水平也得以明顯提高。研究小組進一步利用PWAI納米放射增敏劑治療乳腺癌荷瘤小鼠,觀察到小鼠接受放療後產生有效的抗腫瘤免疫響應,包括樹突狀細胞的成熟、細胞毒性T細胞的募集及其記憶表型的形成,以及腫瘤相關巨噬細胞從免疫抑制狀態到免疫支持狀態的免疫極化。因此,該種聯合放療和雙表觀遺傳學治療的治療策略為免疫放療提供一種更可行的選擇。

UM develops advanced nano-radiosensitizer to improve radiotherapeutic outcome of breast cancer

A research team led by Dai Yunlu, associate professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Macau (UM), has developed a novel nano-radiosensitizer capable of significantly improving the radiotherapeutic outcome of breast cancer. This nanomedicine not only improves the efficacy of radiotherapy but also relieves the MYC-correlated immunosuppression induced by radiation, thereby triggering a systemic anti-tumour immune response and effectively inhibiting the growth, recurrence, and metastasis of breast cancer. The research has been published in the internationally renowned journal Advanced Materials.

Although radiotherapy is clinically effective in inhibiting tumour growth, patients often suffer from severe immune tolerance and immunosuppression. One main reason is that cancer cells increase the expression of MYC protein after receiving the radiation. This protein possesses the capacity to repair DNA damage caused by radiotherapy, which promotes the proliferation of cancer cells and inhibits the type I interferon (IFN-I) signalling pathway. Impaired IFN-I signalling further impedes antigen presentation, disturbs the activation of cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs), and triggers the expansion of tumour-associated regulatory T (Treg) cells. These cascade effects that MYC overexpression brings in highly inhibit the radiotherapeutic outcomes. Therefore, downregulating the MYC level of tumour cells may overcome the critical immunosuppressive barrier and elicit robust immuno-radiotherapy.

The research team designed an advanced nano-radiosensitizer (PWAI) to launch a dual-epigenetic reprogramming in radiotherapy. The PWAI can coordinate high-Z tungsten metal ions (W6+) with PEG-polyphenols by utilising a metal-phenolic network and load 5-Aza (a DNA methyltransferase inhibitor) and ITF-2357 (a histone deacetylase inhibitor) into the hydrophobic core.

Under the stimulation of exotic radiation, X-ray-sensitive W6+ efficiently destroyed the DNA strands of tumour cells by generating plentiful reactive oxygen species and meanwhile, two types of epigenetic inhibitors were released to modulate MYC dual-epigenetically. 5-Aza alone did not trigger IFN-α/IFN-β generation although it downregulated MYC protein. To combine 5-Aza and ITF-2357, apparent MYC inhibitory effect was still recognised in treated cancer cells; and more importantly, cellular levels of IFN-I signal-related proteins involving IFN-α, IFN-β, and the major histocompatibility complex I were significantly enhanced. To treat 4T1 tumour-bearing mice with PWAI nano-radiosensitizers, the research team identified the awakened anti-tumour immune response after radiotherapy, including the maturation of dendritic cells, cytotoxic T lymphocytes recruitment and their memory-phenotype formation, as well as the immune polarization of tumour-associated macrophages from immunosuppressive state to immunosupportive condition. Bringing dual-epigenetic reprogramming in radiotherapy may provide a potential strategy for advanced immuno-radiotherapy.

The corresponding authors of this paper are Dai Yunlu, and Li Bei, research assistant professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences at UM. PhD graduates Wang Guohao, Yan Jie, and Tian Hao are the co-first authors. Postdoctoral fellows Li Wenxi and PhD students Yu Xinying, Feng Yuzhao and Zhou Songtao also made important contributions to the study. 澳大本科內地招生5月3日起接受申請

澳門大學由5月3日起接受全國31省市及自治區的應屆高考生報讀本科課程,合資格的考生可於澳大官網報名,截止日期為6月26日下午5時。

澳大表示,獲國家教育部批准,澳大招收內地學生為獨立招生,並不屬於“全國普通高校統一招生計劃”內,考生報讀澳大本科課程不會影響填報內地高校志願,亦不佔用內地高校的錄取名額。此外,澳大並沒有委託任何機構或仲介辦理招生及錄取工作,所有申請人必須在澳大官網辦理報名手續。

申請人必須在2024年“全國高等學校統一招生考試”中達到本科第一批錄取分數線(或特殊類型招生控制分數線)及英語單科成績獲110分或以上。高考成績優異的申請人有機會獲澳大提供全免獎學金(學費及住宿費全免)。除此以外,澳大對大灣區學生設有專項獎學金,並對北京市、廣東省及珠海市高考考籍和橫琴戶籍及學籍的應屆高考生實施加分優惠政策。

澳大是澳門一所國際化綜合性公立大學,現有學生逾13,500人。澳大擁有多元文化共存以及國際化的辦學模式等特色和優勢,授課語言以英語為主。八成教研人員來自世界各地。

UM starts accepting undergraduate applications from mainland students on 3 May

The University of Macau (UM) starts accepting applications for its undergraduate programmes from mainland students (Gaokao candidates) from 31 provinces, cities, and autonomous regions across the country on 3 May. Eligible applicants can submit their applications through UM’s official website. The deadline for applications is 5:00pm on 26 June.

Approved by the Ministry of Education, UM’s admissions for mainland students are not included in the nationwide college admissions scheme in the mainland. Therefore, applying for UM’s undergraduate programmes will not affect students’ applications to mainland universities. In addition, UM does not entrust any institutions or intermediaries to process student admissions and applications. All applicants must complete the application procedures on the official website of UM.

Eligible applicants must have taken the national college entrance exam (Gaokao) in 2024 and achieved the scores required for admissions to key universities in China, as well as a score of 110 or above for the English subject. UM offers full scholarships (waiver of tuition and accommodation fees) to applicants with excellent Gaokao results. In addition, the university offers special scholarships for students from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Applicants who will take the Gaokao in Beijing, Guangdong, and Zhuhai, as well as those residing and studying in Hengqin, will also receive additional scores.

UM also admits mainland students who have completed an international curriculum or attained international examination results instead of Gaokao results. Applicants must be recent secondary school graduates. Eligible applicants can submit their applications through UM’s official website between 8 May to 22 May.

澳門大學模擬與混合信號超大規模集成電路國家重點實驗室、微電子研究院、科技學院電機及電腦工程系副教授林智聲獲委任為《IEEE電力電子期刊》(IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics)及《IEEE電力電子新興與精選主題期刊》(IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics)副主編。目前他亦擔任《IEEE工業電子期刊》(IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics)副主編。三份期刊均是電力電子領域排名前三的國際頂級期刊,亦是SCI一區頂級期刊,林智聲是澳門首位獲委任的學者。

經過IEEE電力電子學會編委會嚴格評審後,林智聲獲委任為《IEEE電力電子期刊》及《IEEE電力電子新興與精選主題期刊》副主編。兩份期刊都是同行評審的期刊,由IEEE電力電子學會出版,旨在促進電力電子技術在電器、商業環境、能源效率、電力系統、手提設備、工業環境、交通運輸等領域的發展和創新,以及專注於一些新興和精選主題的應用開發新電力電子技術。

林智聲是土生土長澳門人,是澳大培養的電力電子優秀學者。他師承中國工程院院士韓英鐸教授,在澳門特別行政區科學技術發展基金和澳大的資助下,主力研究和結合電力電子及微電子技術,聚焦電能高效轉換及節能方面的研究,包括電力電子變換器、電源管理集成電路、無綫電力傳輸、電能質量補償節能裝置和光伏發電系統。目前合著/編輯了4部國際專著,發表近200篇期刊雜誌和會議論文,並擁有11項授權美國及中國發明專利。

林智聲曾獲2016年IEEE 電力與能源學會分會傑出工程師獎、2023 年第48屆日內瓦國際發明展金獎、2018年及2014年澳門科學技術發明二等獎及三等獎。自2020年以來,他連續三年入選美國史丹福大學發佈的“全球前2%頂尖科學家”榜單。林智聲現為IEEE 工業電子學會澳門分會主席、IEEE 電路與系統學會青年專業委員會主席及IEEE 工業電子學會電力電子技術委員會秘書。

UM professor appointed associate editor of three prestigious power electronics journals

Lam Chi Seng, associate professor in the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI, the Institute of Microelectronics, and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Faculty of Science and Technology at the University of Macau (UM), has been appointed associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics and IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics. Along with his current role of associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, Prof Lam now serves as an associate editor of three prestigious journals in the field of power electronics. These three journals are among the top three international journals in the field and are all SCI Q1 journals. In addition, Prof Lam is the first scholar in Macao to be appointed to such positions.

After a rigorous review by the editorial board of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Power Electronics Society (PELS), Prof Lam was appointed associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics and IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics. Both are peer-reviewed journals published by the IEEE Power Electronics Society. They aim to promote the development and innovation of power electronics in the areas of electrical appliances, commercial environment, energy efficiency, power systems, portable devices, industrial environment, and transportation and logistics, as well as the exploration of new power electronics applications within emerging and selected topics.

Born and raised in Macao, Prof Lam is an outstanding power electronics scholar trained at UM. He is also a student of Prof Han Yingduo, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Supported by the Science and Technology Development Fund (FDCT) of the Macao SAR and UM, Prof Lam’s research focuses on the integration of power electronics and microelectronics technologies, as well as the efficient conversion and energy-saving aspects of power electronics, including power electronic converters, integrated circuits for power management, wireless power transfer, power quality compensation and energy-saving devices, and photovoltaic power generation systems. To date, Prof Lam has co-authored or edited four international monographs, published nearly 200 journal and conference papers, and holds 11 patents for his inventions in the US and China.

Prof Lam was awarded the IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES) Chapter Outstanding Engineer Award in 2016, a gold medal at the 48th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva in 2023, and a second prize and a third prize of the Macao Science and Technology Invention Award in 2018 and 2014 respectively. He was also included in the list of the world’s top 2 per cent scientists by Stanford University for three consecutive years since 2020. Prof Lam is currently chair of the IEEE Macau Industrial Electronics Society (IES) Chapter, chair of the IEEE Young Professionals of Circuits and Systems Society (YP CASS), and secretary of the IEEE IES Power Electronics Technical Committee.

捐贈協議簽署儀式在澳大進行,澳大校長宋永華,澳大發展基金會行政委員會主席劉永年,東望洋之燈有限公司董事、太平洋航空控股有限公司主席兼集團首席執行官劉少坤代表簽署。宋永華感謝東望洋之燈有限公司對澳大的支持,特別是劉少榮校友關心母校,捐助大學發展。澳大將積極發揮優勢,推進與全球各地高校的學術交流和合作,為學生創造更多跨文化交流及學習機會。

在捐贈儀式後,劉少坤以“應對未來(Future Proof You)”為題,與學生分享她的創業歷程,以及怎樣在職涯發展中尋找目的和意義。她鼓勵學生要發展內在的指南針(Internal compass),認清自己的興趣、價值觀及實行目標,這將有助他們找到適合自己的人生方向。

“東望洋之燈菁英發展計劃”資助澳大頒發交換生奬學金及開展學生暑期學習體驗活動兩個項目,旨在吸引更多國際交換生來澳交流,透過一系列的學習和體驗活動,加強他們與澳大學生的文化溝通和交流互動。澳大相信此計劃能拓闊參與者和澳大學生的國際視野,亦能促進澳大與海外院校的合作,提升澳大學術水平和國際影響力。

East Lighthouse Talent Development Scheme supports international development of UM

Initiated by Dr Anthony Lau, an alumnus of the University of Macau (UM), the East Lighthouse Talent Development Scheme was established with a MOP 4 million donation from East Lighthouse Limited. The aim of the scheme is to support the international development of the university and promote talent cultivation.

The signing ceremony of the donation agreement was held at UM. Yonghua Song, rector of UM; Lau Veng Lin, chair of the Executive Committee of the University of Macau Development Foundation; and Vivian Lau, director of East Lighthouse Limited and chair and CEO of Pacific Air Holdings Limited, signed the agreement. Song expressed gratitude to East Lighthouse Limited for its support of UM, especially to Dr Lau’s care and support of his Alma Mater and its development. He added that the university will actively leverage its strengths to foster academic exchanges and cooperation with higher education institutions around the world, and create more cross-cultural exchange and learning opportunities for students.

After the donation ceremony, Vivian Lau gave a talk on ‘Future Proof You’, where she shared with the students her entrepreneurial experiences and insights on finding purpose and meaning in career development. She also encouraged the students to develop their ‘internal compass’ to identify their interests, values, and goals, which will help them find the right direction in life.

The East Lighthouse Talent Development Scheme will fund scholarships for incoming exchange students and a summer learning programme, with the aim of attracting more international students to participate in exchange activities at UM and facilitating their cultural exchange and networking with UM students through a series of learning and experiential activities. The university believes that the programme will broaden the global perspective of the participants and UM students, promote cooperation between UM and overseas institutions, and further enhance the university’s academic standards and international influence.

Rui Martins, vice rector of UM, and Cindy Lam, director of the Alumni and Development Office of UM, also attended the donation ceremony.

廣西中醫藥大學校長率團訪澳大

廣西中醫藥大學校長姚春今(30)日率代表團訪問澳門大學,獲澳大校長宋永華熱情接待。雙方進行了深入的會面交流,冀共同推動桂澳兩地科技創新與人才培養。

宋永華表示,澳大充分依託“特區大學、特殊使命、特別關懷、特色辦學”的獨特優勢,致力培養更多愛國愛澳人才,創造更多科技成果,助力澳門特區經濟適度多元化和融入國家發展大局。廣西中醫藥大學是澳大重要的合作夥伴,兩校近年的學術科研合作成果豐碩。展望未來,期望兩校更有效地運用桂澳兩地的自然、科技、人才和平台資源,推進兩地中醫藥產業聯動發展及傳統醫藥國際化人才的聯合培養,助力澳門產業多元化,提升中醫藥在國際上的影響力和競爭力。

President of Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine leads delegation to visit UM

A delegation led by Yao Chun, president of Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine, visited the University of Macau (UM) today (30 April), and was warmly received by Yonghua Song, rector of UM. The two parties held in-depth discussions, with a view to promoting technological innovation and talent cultivation in Guangxi and Macao.

Song said that UM is committed to nurturing talent who love the country and Macao and producing more research achievements to help the Macao SAR promote economic diversification and integrate into national development. He expressed the hope that the two universities will make use of the natural, scientific, technological, human, and platform resources of Guangxi and Macao to promote the coordinated development of the Chinese medicine industry in the two places and the joint training of talent for the internationalisation of traditional medicine, thereby contributing to Macao’s industrial diversification and enhancing the influence and competitiveness of Chinese medicine in the international arena. In addition, the delegation visited the University Gallery and the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine, and spoke highly of UM’s research development.

澳大鏡海人文論壇探討新文化運動

澳門大學人文學院舉辦“鏡海人文論壇”,由國家哲學社會科學一級教授、北京大學博雅講席教授、北大現代中國人文研究所所長陳平原以“新文化運動的正面、側面與背面”為題發表演講,吸引一眾師生線上線下參與。

澳大人文學院助理院長鄺耀基致辭時講述了澳門作為文化交流合作基地的重要地位,他亦闡述新文化運動在近代中國歷史的重大意義,並呼籲傳承發揚新文化運動的精神。中國歷史文化中心主任朱壽桐隨後介紹陳平原近年來出版的著作與文集,指出陳平原作為當代最著名的文學史研究者,是當代人文學者中少數能夠從自己的學科出發,對中國文學教育、文化教育和高等教育領域作出卓越貢獻的學者。

演講中,陳平原首先從名稱、屬性、宗旨與基本論述等角度分析“五四運動”與“新文化運動”之間的邊界與關聯。陳平原嘗試從教育史視野切入新文化運動,並以蔡元培治下的北大為例,探究蔡元培與論爭對手之間如林琴南的交鋒,以及如何在歷史敘述中演變成新舊勢力對立的鬥爭。

陳平原嘗試摒除正邪對立的思路,還原辜鴻銘、劉師培、張厚載、馮省三等被歷史遺忘的人物的故事,並談及社會學家張競生和《性史》的巨大爭議。最後陳平原總結道,歷史學家的敘述抹殺了很多聲音,新文化運動的研究應摒棄平面的思維方式,引入那些若隱若現、時起時伏的側面,才能讓論述變得立體。在問答環節,澳大師生與陳平原進行深入探討,氣氛熱烈。

這是“鏡海人文論壇”2023/2024學年的第五講。論壇每學年都會邀請不同研究領域的知名人文學者,與澳門師生分享前沿研究成果,過往的論壇主題涵蓋文學、語言學、歷史、翻譯、藝術等多個領域。

UM Macao Humanities Forum discusses New Culture Movement

The Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FAH) of the University of Macau (UM) held the Macao Humanities Forum, featuring Chen Pingyuan, first-class professor of Philosophy and Social Sciences of China, Boya Chair Professor at Peking University, and director of the Institute of Modern Chinese Humanities at Peking University, as the guest speaker. Prof Chen delivered a lecture titled ‘The Facets of the New Culture Movement’, which attracted the participation of many on-site and online participants, including students and faculty members of UM.

Speaking at the event, Joaquim Kuong, assistant dean of FAH, first mentioned Macao’s pivotal role as a hub for cross-cultural communication. He then discussed the significance of the New Culture Movement in the history of modern China, and encouraged participants to carry forward the movement’s spirit. Zhu Shoutong, director of the Centre for Chinese History and Culture, presented Prof Chen’s recent publications and anthologies. He highlighted that as the most renowned contemporary researcher in the field of literary history, Prof Chen is among the few contemporary humanities scholars who has made an outstanding contribution to the fields of Chinese literary education, culture education and higher education within his own discipline.

During the lecture, Prof Chen first examined the distinctions and similarities between the May Fourth Movement and the New Culture Movement in terms of their naming, characteristics, goals, and basic discourse. He then interpreted the New Culture Movement from the perspective of the history of education, using Peking University under the leadership of Cai Yuanpei as a case study. He also examined how Cai Yuanpei’s confrontations with his opponents, such as Lin Qinnan, were subsequently presented in historical accounts as conflicts between old and new forces.

Prof Chen attempted to challenge the premise that good and evil are mutually exclusive and reconstruct the stories of underappreciated historical figures, such as Gu Hongming, Liu Shipei, Zhang Houzai, and Feng Xingsan. He also discussed sociologist Zhang Jingsheng and the great controversy surrounding the book The History of Sexuality. Prof Chen concluded that many voices have been left out of historians’ accounts and that, in order to add depth to the discourse, researchers studying the New Culture Movement should think from multiple perspectives and bring in the hidden and shifting perspectives. During the Q&A session, Prof Chen engaged in in-depth discussions with UM students and faculty members.

This was the fifth lecture of the Macao Humanities Forum in the 2023/2024 academic year. Each year, the forum invites renowned scholars in different fields of the humanities to share their latest research findings with students and faculty members in Macao. Previous lectures of the forum have covered a wide range of subjects, including literature, linguistics, history, translation, and arts.

澳大與復旦簽署雙學位項目合作協議

復旦大學黨委書記裘新今(29)日率代表團訪問澳門大學,獲澳大校長宋永華熱情接待。兩校簽署了《復旦大學與澳門大學雙學位項目合作協議》,共同推動優秀學生聯合培養。

在宋永華、裘新、澳大副校長許敬文及復旦副校長陳志敏的共同見證下,澳大工商管理學院代院長雷智豪及復旦歷史學(旅遊學)系系主任黃洋簽署合作協議。雙方將本著優勢互補、平等互惠的原則,在旅遊管理領域開展聯合雙學士學位項目,以分享高等教育資源,發揮各自教育特色及優勢,共同培養優秀學生,服務國家及澳門特區政府的發展需求。

宋永華表示,復旦是澳大重要的合作夥伴。兩校自2021年起建立戰略合作夥伴關係,在師生互訪、書院活動、學術科研、人才培養等多方面拓展合作,包括攜手創辦了“金融學”雙學士學位項目,共建了“教育部人文社科重點研究夥伴基地—澳門大學亞太經濟與管理研究所”,亦共同發起成立了“中國旅遊教育合作聯盟”等。是次合作協議的簽署,是兩校深化合作的又一重要里程碑,期望未來兩校繼續強強聯手,向建設中國特色世界一流大學的目標共同邁進。

復旦代表團成員還包括港澳台事務辦公室主任沈國麟、副主任莊輝,歷史學(旅遊學)系青年副研究員、教研室主任助理鄭丹妮等。澳大圖書館館長吳建中,全球事務總監王瑞兵,工商管理學院綜合度假村及旅遊管理學系主任苗莉、副教授侯遠思等亦參與接待。

UM, Fudan University sign cooperation agreement on establishment of dual degree programme

A delegation led by Qiu Xin, secretary of the Party Committee of Fudan University, visited the University of Macau (UM) today (29 April) and was warmly received by Yonghua Song, rector of UM. The two parties signed a cooperation agreement on the establishment of a dual degree programme between the two universities, to promote joint cultivation of outstanding students.

In the presence of Song, Qiu, Michael Hui, vice rector of UM, and Chen Zhimin, vice president of Fudan University, Loi Chi Ho, acting dean of the Faculty of Business Administration at UM, and Huang Yang, head of the Department of History and the Department of Tourism at Fudan University, signed the agreement. Based on the principles of complementarity and mutual benefit, the two universities will establish a dual bachelor’s degree programme in the field of tourism management. Song said that after the establishment of their strategic partnership in 2021, UM and Fudan University have strengthened their cooperation in various fields. Initiatives include the launch of a dual bachelor’s degree programme in finance, as well as the establishment of the Asia-Pacific Academy of Economics and Management at UM and the China Tourism Education Alliance. He expressed the hope that the two universities will continue to join forces to develop into first-class universities with Chinese characteristics.
