UM Track and Field Team won 6 Golds, 5 Silvers, 4 Bronzes at “2024 Macao (Autumn) Track and Field Competition”

The “2024 Macao (Autumn) Track and Field Competition” was held from 12 to 13 Oct at Olympic Sports Centre – Stadium. It was organized by General Association of Athletics of Macau. This is one of the largest Track and Field Competitions in Macao, with participants from various sports clubs and organizations.

UM Track and Field Team sent 23 members (14 men and 9 women) to participate in this event and won 6 golds, 5 silvers and 4 bronzes. All team members demonstrated outstanding performance and sportsmanship in the competition.

Activity Highlights

UM Track and Field Team won 2 Silvers, 2 Bronzes at “WSE Athletics Open Shanghai”

The “WSE Athletics Open Shanghai” was held in Shanghai from 21 to 22 Sep, attracting athletes from numerous sports clubs and organizations all over China. The competition provided a platform for students to showcase their talents and fostered friendship among the participants. The University of Macau Track and Field Team sent two members to participate in this competitive event and won 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals finally.

The “2024 Macao (Spring) Track and Field Competition” was held from 25 to 26 May at Olympic Sports Centre – Stadium. It was organized by General Association of Athletics of Macau. UM Track and Field Team sent 14 members (9 men and 5 women) to participate in this event and won 3 golds, 1 silver and 1 bronze. All team members demonstrated outstanding performance and sportsmanship in the competition.

Activity Highlight

The University of Macau Table Tennis Team and the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong engaged in a Table Tennis exchange on the evening of 16 April. The aim of this exchange was to promote sports and cultural interaction as well as foster friendship between the two universities.

On the day of the event, UM Table Tennis Team warmly welcomed six athletes and staff members from Hang Seng University of Hong Kong at the UM Campus. The players from both teams participated in a series of friendly matches, showcasing their skills and athletic abilities. The atmosphere during the matches was lively and friendly, with the players demonstrating high-level competitiveness and team spirit.

The exchange activity not only strengthened the sports exchange between the two universities but also provided an opportunity for students to learn and grow with each other. Such exchange activities contribute to expanding students’ international perspectives, enhancing their sports skills, and fostering their teamwork and communication abilities and providing students with more diverse opportunities for learning and growth.

	司徒嘉榆 同學 大二 社會科學學院 紹邦書院 非常高興能夠參與這次與來自香港恆生大學的學生進行交流切磋的活動。借這次的交流活動，也讓我能夠認識到來自不同地方的大學生，與不同打法的選手進行交流切磋，所以這是一次非常珍貴的體驗，令我收穫良多。
	Yiu Yee Ting 香港恒生大學 今天在澳門一整天下來很充實，晚上與澳大乒乓校隊不同打法的同學進行了交流切磋，比如左手、防弧和長膠。因為我剛剛換了新打法，也還沒很熟悉，所以今天在與不同特色的選手交流的過程中也學習到了很多經驗，令我獲益良多。在走過來體育館的途中，也看到了澳大的校園很大很漂亮，上乒乓球室前也走樓下看到了許多不同的獎項，讓我感覺到澳大是一所很有歷史，也有實力的學校。
	Law Chun Yeung (左), Chow Hau Fui (右) 香港恒生大學 在今天的交流活動中，讓我感覺到了澳大同學的友善，大家一起訓練並進行比賽交流，我們也覺得同學們的水平很好，讓我們學到了很多。 在澳大校園內我們看到了許多設計跟香港不同，很有特色的教學樓建築，體育館裡也有很多不同的運動設施比如桌球檯和籃球機，運動場館設施也很齊全，如果有機會下次還想來。

2023-2024 CICA Masters’ Cup – Table Tennis Competition was held successfully

The “2023-2024 CICA Masters’ Cup – Table Tennis Competition”, co-organized by Committee on Inter-College Affairs (CICA) and OSA, was held successfully.

The preliminary round was held on 6 Apr in which 10 college teams were divided into two groups, the best 2 teams of each group would be qualified for the final round which took place on 13 Apr.

Activity Review

	藍志雄教授 呂志和書院院長 乒乓球一直是我很喜歡的運動，平時也會和院生們一起打乒乓球。通過這次比賽看到了同學們的永不言放棄體育精神，為了書院的榮譽一次又一次超越自我，扳平比分。有書院來了很多加油打氣的同學們，也從他們身上看到了同學們的團結精神。希望這樣的團結精神可以在整個澳大發揚光大。也希望明年的CICA乒乓球賽可以繼續看到同學們的英姿。
	盧嘉瀅同學（CICA乒乓球賽組織代表） 大二 工商管理學院 霍英東珍禧書院 通過兩天精彩的比賽，我們看到十家書院的同學們勇於拼搏、堅持的體育精神。通過本次賽事，也促進了十家書院同學們的交流，豐富了我們的健康校園生活。 感謝參與比賽及到場支持的同學們、老師們以及協助賽事舉行的工作人員。祝賀獲獎書院，也希望大家在明年CICA 院長盃乒乓球賽也賽出精彩。謝謝大家！
	陳善瑩同學 大四 社會科學學院 張崑崙書院 我們書院為這次乒乓球比賽奪冠感到非常雀躍和興奮，我和梁教作為一個已經大四準備畢業的學生，這次冠軍對我們的意義非常重大。 雖然賽途中的對手都非常強勁，但憑藉隊友們強大的內心以及導師和學生們⼀路的支持，衝破壓力突圍而出，令大家在賽前付出的努力得到了回報。

at “2023-2024 Macau University Track and Field Championship”

The “2023-2024 Macau University Track and Field Championship” was held from 22 to 24 Mar at Olympic Sports Centre – Stadium. The participating higher education institutions included:
