 觸式欖球 Touch Rugby

觸式欖球起源於1950年代,是一項強調速度、技巧、策略及團隊合作的運動。主要特點為對觸碰的限制,只能以最低力道觸碰對手,不會有猛烈的衝撞和擒抱,是少數可供男女混合隊伍互相競爭的團體運動之一。觸式欖球比賽目標是比對手取得更多分數,但只能以觸碰阻止持球球員,不能使用擒抱。當防守方有球員觸碰到球,或持球球員身體的任何部位,就可以阻止對方是次攻勢。

Touch rugby started in the 1950s is a sport that emphasizes speed, skill, strategy and teamwork, is a limited-contact sport which involves contact made with only minimal force; hence, tackling is not permitted and this characteristic that makes it a mixed sport. Touch rugby aims to score more tries than the opposition. Ball carriers are touched by opposing players rather than tackled. They are brought to a halt whenever a touch is performed by a member of the defending team on any part of their body or on the ball.

草地滾球 Lawn Bowling

草地滾球是一項在平坦草地上進行的運動,通常由兩隊或兩名選手參加。比賽的目的是將球滾向一個小白球,稱為“目標球”。選手需要運用技巧和策略,控制球的速度和方向,以便最接近目標球。這項運動不僅考驗選手的精準度,還注重團隊合作和社交互動。草地滾球適合各年齡層,無論是休閒娛樂還是競技比賽,都能帶來無窮的樂趣。

Lawn bowling is a sport played on a flat grass surface, typically involving two teams or individual players. The objective is to roll balls toward a small white ball known as the "jack." Players must use skill and strategy to control the speed and direction of their bowls to get as close to the jack as possible. This sport tests precision and emphasizes teamwork and social interaction. Suitable for all ages, lawn bowling provides endless enjoyment, whether for leisure or competitive play.

花毽 Freestyle Shuttlecock Kicking

花毽是一項充滿活力和創意的運動,起源於中國。它涉及用腳保持一個有重量的毽子在空中,讓參與者展示他們的技能和創造力。花毽促進協調、平衡和柔韌性,是一種愉快的運動方式,同時通過動作表達個性。

Freestyle shuttlecock kicking is a dynamic and creative sport originating in China. It involves using the feet to keep a weighted shuttlecock in the air through various kicks and tricks, allowing practitioners to showcase their skills and creativity. Freestyle shuttlecock kicking promotes coordination, balance, and flexibility, making it an enjoyable way to stay active while expressing individuality through movement.

3. 申請結果Application Result

申請結果將於2025年2月5日(星期三),以電郵通知中籤者
Application results will be announced via email on 5 Feb 2025 (WED).

請中籤者於郵件中公告的限期前,按照指示,在澳大綜合體育館(N8的開放時間內前往正門服務台支付相關費用/押金。如果未能按時支付,其名額將分配給候補名單上的其他申請者。
For successful applicants, please settle the fee/deposit at the Main Entrance Service Counter, G/F, UM Sports Complex (N8), during opening hours and before the set deadline, as announced in the email. Otherwise, the quota will be allocated to other applicants on the waiting list.

候補名單 Waiting list
未中籤者將按照結果排序。如果有名額釋放,將根據中籤的排序,以電郵通知候補人員及須於指定的限期前支付相關費用。
Unsuccessful applicants will be queued up on the waiting list by draw. If a quota is being released, an email notification of payment will be sent out according to the draw result, and payment should be settled before the specified deadline.

備註Notes:

    • 僅在繳付完相關費用後,才視為申請已獲確認。Successful enrollment will be confirmed upon payment.
    • 為更好地善用有限的資源,一旦申請已獲確認,請按時出席相關的課程。For better use of resources, kindly attend all registered classes on schedule once enrolment is confirmed.
    • 課程是否成功開班將取決於參與的人數。如未能成功開班,已交的費用將會退回。The confirmation of a class is dependent on the number of participants. If a class is cancelled, the fee will be refunded accordingly.
    • 一般情況下,費用一經收取後恕不退還。The registration fee is not refundable after payment under any circumstances in general.

劍道 Kendo

Kendo, meaning "the way of the sword," is a modern Japanese martial art derived from traditional swordsmanship. Aerial yoga is an innovative form of yoga that combines traditional poses with the use of a suspended fabric hammock. This practice allows practitioners to explore gravity-defying movements, enhancing flexibility, strength, and balance. Aerial yoga promotes relaxation and mindfulness while providing a unique experience that challenges the body in new ways. 普拉提 Pilates

Pilates is a low-impact exercise method focusing on core strength, flexibility, and overall body awareness. Developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century, it emphasizes controlled movements and breath control. Pilates can be performed on a mat or specialized equipment, such as the Reformer. This practice enhances posture, balance, and muscle tone while reducing stress and tension. Suitable for all fitness levels, Pilates promotes rehabilitation and injury prevention. 請中籤者於郵件中公告的限期前,按照指示,在澳大綜合體育館(N8的開放時間內前往正門服務台支付相關費用/押金。如果未能按時支付,其名額將分配給候補名單上的其他申請者。
For successful applicants, please settle the fee/deposit at the Main Entrance Service Counter, G/F, UM Sports Complex (N8), during opening hours and before the set deadline, as announced in the email. Otherwise, the quota will be allocated to other applicants on the waiting list.

候補名單 Waiting list
未中籤者將按照結果排序。如果有名額釋放,將根據中籤的排序,以電郵通知候補人員及須於指定的限期前支付相關費用。
Unsuccessful applicants will be queued up on the waiting list by draw. If a quota is being released, an email notification of payment will be sent out according to the draw result, and payment should be settled before the specified deadline.

備註Notes:

    • 僅在繳付完相關費用後,才視為申請已獲確認。Successful enrollment will be confirmed upon payment.

【Sports Team】: UM Men’s Soccer Team participated in “2nd Beijing-Macao University Football Tournament”

UM Men’s Soccer Team participated in “1st Beijing-Macao University Football Tournament”

The “2nd Beijing-Macao University Football Tournament” was held in Macao from 18-21 Oct 2024. A total of 4 teams were invited for the competition: Beijing University, Tsinghua University, University of Macau, and Macau University of Science & Technology.

An opening ceremony took place on 19 Oct at the UM Stadium, featuring a kickball ceremony where the UM Men’s Soccer Team took photos with distinguished guests.

On 19 and 20 Oct, the UM Men’s Soccer Team played two games against Beijing University and Tsinghua University. According to the records, the team achieved 1 win and 1 draw in these matches. A total of 20 athletes participated, and the games were held at the UM and MUST campuses.

UM Men’s Soccer Teams got 7th place at “2nd Asian University Sports Federation Football Cup”

The UM Men’s Soccer Team showcased their talent at the “2nd Asian University Sports Federation Football Cup” held from Sep 15 to 25 in Jilin. Competing against 8 teams, the team got the 7th place.

A total of 18 Men’s Soccer members were selected to represent the university in this competition, throughout the tournament, UM played a total of four matches, demonstrating resilience and teamwork. Although they did not reach the better result, their performance received high praise from coaches and fans alike, highlighting their potential for future seasons.

The coach expressed that this experience will provide valuable learning opportunities for the players and looks forward to challenging for higher goals in the upcoming season.

UM Dragon and Lion Team Fun Day was successfully held

The UM Dragon and Lion Dance Team Fun Day was successfully held on 4 Sep at N8 – Sports Pavilion, with over 80 UM students participating in the event.

The Office of Sports Affairs (OSA) organized this university team fun day to allow UM students to interact with team members and experience team training through designated teaching sessions.

On that day, to help participants better understand our UM Dragon and Lion Dance Team (currently consisting of 17 members), the team members prepared a brief introduction about the team and shared the fun and challenges of their training sessions. The team coach also joined the event to support the members, sharing past achievements and upcoming competitions. After introducing each team member, experience activities related to the dragon and lion dance were arranged, inviting student participants to play together with the team members, making them more engaged and active.

Dragon and lion dance is a traditional performance art with deep cultural significance, typically performed during festivals and celebrations to ward off evil spirits and bring good luck. During the event, team members shared the history and cultural background of the dragon and lion dance, as well as introduced the basic techniques and rules. A demonstration performance was arranged, followed by an explanation of the rules. Participants were then invited to experience the training content, including basic skills and technical techniques.

Students who attend the WHOLE activity and arrive ON TIME will be given 1.5 PE hours (late arrival, early leave or leave the venue during the event for over 10 minutes will NOT be given PE hours).

*同學進場和離場時,必須出示學生證作登記;出席的學生必須與登記的學生姓名一樣。
Students are required to do check in/out with UM student ID card, the name of the attended student MUST be the same as the registered name.

UM Men’s Soccer Teams got 6th place at “2024 Macau Football League – 1st Division”

UM Men’s Soccer Team secured 6th place in the 2024 Macau Football League – 1st Division (1st place of relegation group), marking a historic moment as the first university team to compete at the top level in Macau.

The UM Men’s Soccer Team showcased their talent throughout the league, which took place from February to August, spanning a total of 7 months and involving 17 matches. Competing against 9 teams, they achieved an impressive 6th place.

A total of 21 members were selected to represent the university in this competition. Throughout the tournament, UM demonstrated resilience and teamwork. Although they did not reach the top four, their performance received high praise from coaches and fans alike, highlighting their potential for future seasons.

The coach emphasized that this achievement not only sets a precedent for future university teams but also inspires a new generation of players. With the valuable experiences gained, the team is eager to build on this foundation and strive for even greater success in the upcoming season.

The UM Men’s Soccer Team showcased their talent at the “2023-2024 National Youth Football League,” held from July 7 to 19 in Qingdao. Competing against 30 teams, the team secured an impressive 6th place.

A total of 20 Men’s Soccer members were selected to represent the university in this competition, throughout the tournament, UM played a total of seven matches, demonstrating resilience and teamwork. Although they did not reach the top four, their performance received high praise from coaches and fans alike, highlighting their potential for future seasons.

The coach expressed that this experience will provide valuable learning opportunities for the players and looks forward to challenging for higher goals in the upcoming season.
