Unsuccessful applicants will be queued up on the waiting list by draw. If a quota is being released, an email notification of payment will be sent out according to the draw result, and payment should be settled before the specified deadline.

【Sports Events and Fixtures】 UM Student won the 1 Gold and 1 Bronze at “31st FISU World University Games in Chengdu”

 UM Student won the 1 gold and 1 bronze
at “31st FISU World University Games”

 

The “31st FISU World University Games” was held in Chengdu, Sichuan from 27 Jul to 27 Aug 2023. There were over 6,500 athletes from 113 countries and regions participated in the championship this year.

The Macau sports delegation consists of 25 students from the University of Macau (UM), who are participating in various events including badminton, judo, martial arts, table tennis, swimming, taekwondo and track and field.

Wong Sam In (FST/HFPJC), a student from the UM, won a gold and a bronze medal in the women’s Nanquan and Nandao of the martial event respectively at the “31st FISU World University Games”. They are the first gold medal and the first medal for the Macau delegation at this year’s event. UM expressed congratulations to the athlete on her outstanding performance, which earned international honors for Macau and the university.

Macau Martial Arts Team Wong Sam In (FST/HFPJC) won 1 gold and 1 bronze medal in the women’s Nanquan and Nandao of the martial event

In Macao, football is not just a sport but a way of life, and the 2023 Macau Football League has proven to be no exception. After three months of intense competition (11 Mar to 30 Jun), the Macao Football League (2nd Division) has come to a close, with ten teams battling it out for the top spot in the 1st division. Among these teams was the UM Men’s Soccer Team, the first team of university students to compete in the top league, and now a top 10 team in Macao.

The journey of the UM Men’s Soccer Team has been eight long years of dedication and effort, with the team participating in the 4th division league since 2016. But their determination has paid off, and their promotion to the 1st division is a momentous achievement that will go down in history.

After a grueling season, the UM Men’s Soccer Team emerged as the 2nd placed team in the 2nd division, securing their promotion to the top level of local football. This is a truly remarkable feat, and the team can be immensely proud of their efforts in the league.

Congratulations to the UM Men’s Soccer Team on their promotion to the 1st division in Macao Football League, and for becoming the first team of university students to compete at this level. We eagerly anticipate the start of the next season in 2024, where we will witness the UM Men’s Soccer Team take on the best of the best in Macao football.

 

2023 年澳門乙組足球聯賽已圓滿結束，十支球隊爭奪升上甲組。其中，澳門大學男子足球隊成功晉升，成為澳門首支參加本地甲組足球聯賽的大學生球隊，也成為澳門前十強球隊之一。

The 2022-2023 Macau University Futsal Championship was organized by Macau Universitarian Sports Association from 8 Apr 2023 till 7 May 2023 at University of Macau Mini Artificial Turf Soccer Pitch. 

A total of 7 universities had participated in this competition and UM Soccer Team won the Championship.  Participated higher education institutions include:

Activity Highlights

The Yoga Salon Experience was held successfully

The Yoga Salon Experience (瑜伽體驗), co-organized by Office of Sports Affairs (OSA) and the Sports General Association of Macau (澳門瑜伽體育總會) was held successfully on 30 March 2023 (Thursday).

The Yoga Salon Experience held one session of an experience class, with a total of 70 participants. During the class, participants were able to experience the unique benefits of yoga and learn safe techniques to relax their bodies. The instructors created a welcoming and supportive environment that allowed participants to feel comfortable and confident in their practice. The event provided a platform for individuals to learn about the benefits of yoga and discover new ways to incorporate it into their daily lives. The success of The Yoga Salon Experience serves as a positive example of how yoga can be integrated into various settings to promote mindfulness and holistic health.

UMAC KINBALL Exchange Activity with Hong Kong Local Teams

UMSU Kin-ball Club has organized a learning camp last weekend (5 March, 2023) and invited two Hong Kong local Kin-ball teams, SPIRIT (鍥延) and GANZO (元祖). It was a great success.

The activity included different training sections and friendly matches. There were 30 participants. Not only learning new skills but also knowing new friends, which we all had an enjoyable experience.

This was a good opportunity for our club members in terms of sports and social aspects. Additionally, friendship between Macau and Hong Kong Kin-ball family has been established and they could further build up their network mutually in different areas.

憑借以聯誼為本，學習為導向的本心，很榮幸能夠受邀參加這次澳大與兩家香港KINBALL團體組織的友誼賽。這也是在入會以來，第壹次和校外的KINBALL愛好者接觸。在活動前半部分的合練部分中，香港兩支隊伍所帶來全新的技術動作和戰術理念已經早早的令我耳目壹新，在隨後的友誼賽環節中，出色的團隊配合和戰術執行更值得自己所學習和思考。在此期間，澳大和香港隊所展現出的團隊精神也都值得共勉。期待能夠在畢業之際能有更多機會與香港和更多地區的球隊開展交流活動。

很榮幸能夠舉辦這次活動,畢竟是四年以來的第一次港澳健球交流活動.也很感激健球會促成此次交流活動的各位前輩，沒有他們的牽橋搭線與反復協商，就不會有這次珍貴的交流機會. 在此次的健球交流中, 來自香港的兩支隊伍實力都很強勁，我們跳出了澳門地區的舒適圈,受到了一定程度上的打擊，同時也見識到了更高級的戰略戰術,對我們今後的訓練有了一定改進啟發.,也幫助我們找出了一些問題所在，並指出了改進措施，很期待下一次和他們在香港甚至是更大的比賽中會面。

很榮幸能參加這次港澳之間的KINBALL交流活動，在交流為主，比賽為輔的總方針下，我們和香港代表隊之間進行了壹場戰術和技巧上的學習交流。這回香港代表隊的到來，不僅教會了我們更新的戰術安排，人員布置，更是改變了我們對KINBALL比賽規則的認知，他們教授了我們最新的比賽判罰規則，對我們在舊規則下的打法在新規則的背景下可能引起的犯規行為進行了指明和更正，對澳大的KINBALL團隊有很大的幫助。在這次活動期間，港澳雙方團隊壹起訓練，分組比賽，雙方的磨合和團隊的合作都有著良好的體現，期待能在未來繼續和香港方面進行交流合作，共同促進雙方體育文化的進步。

The “2022-2023 Macau University Football Championship” (organized by Macau Universitarian Sports Association) which was kicked off on 12 Nov 2022, was eventually ended on 12 Feb 2023 at Macao Federation of Trade Unions Workers Stadium. OSA has sent UM Men’s Soccer Team to participate in the competition and the final result is shown as below:
