UM Squash Team captured 1st Runner-up of Men’s Professional Division at “2024 National University Squash Championship”

The “2024 National University Squash Championship” (hosted by 國家體育總局小球運動管理中心 and 北京大學體育教研部 and organized by 北京大學壁球協會) ended successfully on 1 Dec in Peking University in Beijing. The Championship only involved team match, over 15 Universities sent their athletes to participate, with a total of 75 participants. 

A total of 4 members from the UM Squash Team were selected to represent the university in this competition. UM Squash Team has captured 1st Runner-up of Men’s Professional Division, the following table shows the UM Squash Team medalist for the Championship:

UM Basketball Teams won Men’s Division 3rd Place and Women’s Division Champion at
“2024-2025 Macau University Basketball Championship”

The “2024-2025 Macau University Basketball Championship” (organized by Macau Universitarian Sports Association and venue supported by University of Macau) which was eventually ended on 17 Nov at UM Sports Complex – Sports Pavilion.

OSA has sent UM Basketball Teams (Both Men and Women) to participate in the competition and the final results are shown as below:

– UM Men’s Basketball Team : 3rd Place
– UM Women’s Basketball Team : Champion

The “2024-2025 Macau University Basketball Championship” (organized by Macau Universitarian Sports Association and venue supported by University of Macau) will be kicked off on 19 Oct (Sat) at the University of Macau Training Hall B (N8). UM Men’s Basketball and Women’s Basketball Team will be participating in this championship, we encourage students to come and support our university teams.

UM Squash Team captured 4th Place of Men’s Division B at “21st Karakal Cup Shanghai Squash Open”

The “21st Karakal Cup Shanghai Squash Open” (hosted by 上海市體育競賽管理中心 and organized by 卡拉卡（上海）體育文化發展有限公司 and Shanghai Squash Association) ended successfully on 23 Sep in Shanghai. Over 300 athletes participated in this Open match with 18 Group Divisions, including Boy’s and Girl’s Under 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, Women’s Division A & B, Men’s Division A, B & C and Senior’s Division. 

A total of 8 members from the UM Squash Team were selected to represent the university in this competition. UM Squash Team has captured 4th Place of Men’s Division B, the following table shows the UM Squash Team medalist for the Open:

Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the People’s Republic of China and the 25th Anniversary of the Macao SAR: The 4th University of Macau-The Macau Chinese Enterprises Association-China Construction Engineering (Macau) Company Ltd. “National Day Cup” Basketball Invitational Tournament was held successfully and UM Men’s Basketball Team won the Championship

In order to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the People’s Republic of China and the 25th Anniversary of the Macao SAR, University of Macau (UM), The Macau Chinese Enterprises Association and China Construction Engineering (Macau) Company Ltd. co-organized “The 4th University of Macau-The Macau Chinese Enterprises Association-China Construction Engineering (Macau) Company Ltd. “National Day Cup” Basketball Invitational Tournament” on 28-29 Sep and 5-6 Oct 2024 at N8 UM Sports Complex.

A total of 15 teams participated in this competition, including

A total of 16 UM Men’s Basketball team members were selected to represent UM in this competition. The team demonstrated strong teamwork and collaboration, won all matches and became the championship of the tournament.   Besides, UM Men’s Basketball team member, Zhang Junyong, was awarded to be the MVP of the overall competition.

After 4-day intensive competition, the final result is shown as follows:

“The 1st “Together in Pursuit of Dreams” University Basketball Match” was held from 5 to 6 Oct in Zhuhai. UM Women’s Basketball Team was invited to participate and compete with 7 colleges from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao in this competition. A total of 10 members from the UM Women’s Basketball Team were selected to represent the university in this competition. After 2 days of intensive matches, the UM Women’s Basketball Team won 2nd runner-up.
