The following information is provided by University of Warsaw and transmitted by the Department of Global Affairs of the University of Macau for the reference of teachers and students in Macau. Programme Objective

The objective of this program is to provide co-financing for research visits to the University of Warsaw. It is designed to support students and doctoral students in their pursuit of knowledge and academic growth.

The Programme provides for short-term research visits – from 2 to 5 months – to be implemented at the University of Warsaw. Participants will be included in research projects at the University of Warsaw, which will allow for the development and enhancement of cooperation between the University of Warsaw and partner institutions abroad.

Henrique de Senna Fernandes Academic Prize for the Best Portuguese Thesis (AY2022/2023)

Henrique de Senna Fernandes Academic Prize for the Best Portuguese Thesis (hereinafter, “the Prize”) is established to award outstanding UM post-graduate theses from Department of Portuguese and Faculty of Law. Named after the late Dr. Heneique de Senna Fernandes in recognition of his outstanding achievements and contribution in law, cultural education and literature in Macao, the Prize aims to encourage students to devote themselves in the study and research in Portuguese and enhance the quality of graduates’ theses.

This call for thesis submission targets graduation theses of Master or PhD. students from Department of Portuguese (DPORT) and Faculty of Law (FLL), which were written in Portuguese and the oral defense completed in Academic Year 2022/2023.

Interested students and graduates are welcome to submit their graduation thesis to run for the Prize. Please refer to the sections below for more details and method of submission.

  • Postgraduate thesis (Master or PhD.) of Department of Portuguese, Faculty of Arts and Humanities (DPORT) or
    Faculty of Law (FLL)
  • The thesis must be written in Portuguese

This call for application confers two Prize quotas, one each for Department of Portuguese and Faculty of Law.

Awardees will be granted a Prize at the amount of MOP10,000, and will be invited to a prize conferment ceremony to be held in UM in late 2023.

We are pleased to announce the opening of 1st call for applications (student and staff mobility) regarding the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility “UMove(ME) 2023” Project.

The International Credit Mobility (ICM) is part of the Key Action 1 of the Erasmus + Program and allows an higher education institution (HEI) in a Programme country to send/receive students, teaching and non-teaching staff to study, teaching and training missions to/from an HEI in a Partner country.

UMOVE(ME) is the institutional project of Uniuversity of Minho (UMinho) under ICM, which allows UMinho to receive/send students, teaching and non-teaching staff from/to several partner countries.

Financial Support

UMOVE(ME) provides the following financial support to the grant holders:

A) Stay allowance (the amount depends on the mobility’s direction);

B) Contribution for travel (defined by the distance between the grant holder’s home city and the host city)

The financial support for ‘distance travelled’ is the maximum allowed by the Erasmus+ programme and is intended to contribute to round-trip travel between the home and host HEIs. In case the amount allocated is insufficient to pay for the desired trip, the grant holder must find other sources of funding. 

All selected participants are responsible for purchasing their own travel ticket, always respecting the mobility dates established and the minimum stay at the host HEI. In the case of incoming participants (to UMinho), the refund of the value of the trip as well as the payment of the first instalment of the stay allowance is made by bank cheque on the day of arrival. In the case of students, the scholarship payments are made in 3 parts: 50% of the scholarship is paid upon arrival of the student at the host HEI, 30% half way the mobility period, and 20% is paid upon submission of the final report.

For students:

(1) Proposed Learning Agreement is to be signed by the Programme Coordinator of your Department/Faculty. Please consult the Administrative Office of your faculty/institute to confirm your Programme Coordinator. 

(2) Proof of Registration (Testimonial) is to be applied from Registry/Graduate School, depending on your study level.

For staff:

(1) Proof of Contractual Relationship should be applied from Human Resources Section (HRS), to show that you have a valid employment contract with UM.

(2) Preliminary work plan/Mobility Agreement should be signed by the Dean/Director/Head/representative of equivalent power of endorsement in your unit to endorse your application in “The sending institution/enterprise” part(s).

  • Provide assistance in the organization of activities and events, such as university-level meetings and conferences, student activities and ceremonial events
  • Provide support in guest reception activities

2. Technical trainees (with specialised technical skills)

  • For applicants with any of the following specialised technical skills may be considered as “technical trainees” (with additional stipend; see “Working Hours & Stipend” section for more information:
    – Portuguese speaking, writing and translation
    Graphic design (with Adobe software)
    – Professional photography
    – Video processing
    – Website maintenance (with Word Press)
  • Applicants may also indicate any other professional skills in their CV for consideration

Requirements

We are looking for students with the following qualities:

  • Good knowledge in using Microsoft Office; knowledge in graphic design/processing software (such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) is preferred
  • Good command of spoken and written Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) and English; proficiency in written and spoken Portuguese is highly preferred
  • Punctual, polite and strong sense of responsibility with positive working attitude
  • Good communication skills and willing to communicate with visitors and guests
  • Being able to work according to a fixed working schedule will be prioritized for consideration

Note: The applicant must have an active UM student status to apply for the trainee position.

Working Hours & Stipend

Students trainees are expected to work according to the sessions defined below:

  • Regular working hours for student trainees:
    Monday to Friday
    – morning session: 09:30-12:30 (3 hours)
    – afternoon session: 14:30-17:30 (3 hours)
  • Trainees are required to work 6-15 hours per week (2-5 sessions)
  • An hourly rate at MOP48 will be offered for general trainees
  • An hourly rate at MOP66 will be offered for technical trainees

Remarks:
1) Working hours and schedule can be otherwise negotiated but should be not exceed 15 hours per week.

2) In case of need to work on weekends or public holidays, Global Affairs Office will contact the student trainees in advance to check their availability.

申請資格及費用說明

申請資格:

申請人必須為澳門大學全日制學生(交流生及於項目結束前完成修業的學生除外)

部分項目僅限港澳籍生申請(即持有有效澳門或香港居民身份證及回鄉證的學生)

 

費用說明:

項目一|“未名湖畔好讀書”2023北京大學港澳台暑期學校

獎學金生名額(一名):獎學金生免收項目期間的文化參訪費用和住宿費用,就讀期間暑期學校課程費用、餐費、往返北京的旅費、個人保險費、個人消費需自行支付。

除獎學金生外其他獲錄取學生(二名):免收項目期間的文化參訪費用,就讀期間住宿費用、暑期學校課程費用、餐費、往返北京的旅費、個人保險費、個人消費需自行支付。

 

項目二 至項目十二

1/ 項目不設報名費用。

2/ 主辦單位將承擔活動期間的住宿、交通以及大部分餐飲費用。

3/ 學生需要自行承擔以下費用及負責相關安排

  1. 往返活動地點的旅費(如機票、高鐵票、船票、車票等)
  2. 個人保險
  3. 其他活動以外的個人消費

選拔方法

由澳門大學及主辦院校共同進行選拔。 全球事務部將根據申請材料審核申請擇優推薦,主辦方保留錄取資格的最後決定權。

 

提交申請方式
1. 請準備下列文件,並按照清單中的順序將文件轉換及合成為一個pdf.格式檔案 (提示:可使用Acrobat或其他pdf編輯軟件處理)。

備註:
