Number of COVID-19 infection cases and Seasonal Influenza cases has been increasing; personal protection should be strengthened
新型冠狀病毒感染個案及流感個案有上升趨勢 呼籲大家加強個人防護
親愛的同事及同學們:
近日在社區相繼出現新冠病毒感染個案及流感個案,且呈上升趨勢,現呼籲大家加強個人防護措施,以降低感染風險。
- 接種流感疫苗、新冠疫苗及加強劑;
- 確保自己及家人睡眠充足,飲食均衡以及勤做運動;
- 保持良好的個人衛生習慣,勤洗手;
- 打噴嚏或咳嗽時應用紙巾掩住口鼻,用紙巾包好痰涎及分泌物,放入有蓋垃圾桶內及儘快洗手;沒有紙巾時應用肘部掩住口鼻,而不應用手掌掩住口鼻;
- 保持空氣流通及良好的環境衛生;
- 避免前往人多擠迫的地方;
- 凡有上呼吸道症狀、需要照顧病人及進入醫療機構人士應戴上口罩;請參照衛生局有關配戴口罩的指引 (指引);
- 如有不適,應及時就診並留在家中休息,若症狀加重必須儘快就醫。

Dear colleagues and students,
Recently, the number of COVID-19 infection cases and Seasonal Influenza cases has been increasing in the community. We are reminded to strengthen personal protection to lower the risk of infection.
- Vaccinate against Seasonal Influenza and COVID-19; take booster shots as well;
- Sleep well; have a balanced diet and exercise frequently;
- Maintain good personal hygiene; wash hands frequently;
- Use tissue paper to cover your mouth and nose when sneezing and coughing; use tissue paper to wrap the secretion and throw it into the rubbish bin with lid; wash hands immediately. If tissue paper is not available, cover your mouth and nose with elbow instead of palm.
- Maintain good ventilation and environmental hygiene;
- Avoid going to crowded places;
- Put on a mask if you develop influenza-like symptoms, take care of patients or enter medical institutions. Please refer to the guidelines of wearing mask from Health Bureau (guidelines);
- Seek medical assistance and rest at home if you are not feeling well. Be sure to seek medical treatment immediately if your symptoms are getting worse.
