UM Martial Arts Team Conducts Martial Arts Exchange Activities in Zhuhai

To enhance the skills and establish friendly relations with the martial arts team in the Greater Bay Area, UM Martial Arts Team conducted martial arts exchange activities in Zhuhai on 6 January.

The activities included visiting the Zhuhai Wushu Association as well as the Zhuhai Dragon and Lion Dance Association, and exchanging with the Martial Arts Team in Zhuhai.

        澳門大學社會科學學院傳播系學士，及教育學院體育教學及運動碩士畢業的周文顥先生是澳門現役游泳運動員，並且打破了29項澳門游泳紀錄，人稱澳門蛙王。2018年參加雅加達亞運會後選擇成為全職運動員。為了學業及訓練兩不誤，他在當全職運動員期間修讀了碩士課程，且在完成碩士學位後前往美國進行為期一年的游泳集訓，以提升游泳技術。

【Sports Events and Fixtures】UM participated in The 3rd Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Students Sports Festival

The 3rd Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Students Sports Festival, organized by the Physical Education and Sport Development Alliance (粵港澳大灣區學生體育與發展聯盟), was being held at Guangzhou Sport University (廣州體育學院) from 24-26 November with a total of 54 institutes over 900 students and staff participated.

UM sent a delegation of 30 people including OSA Director, 2 staff (FHS & FED) from UM Staff Sports Club – Tennis Group, 1 coach and 26 student athletes to join 4 sports events namely Badminton, Table Tennis, Tennis and Track & Field.

Besides competitions, the Festival also includes the Opening Ceremony cum Culture Show (開幕式暨粵港澳大灣區師生文體展演), Sports Cultural Trip (體育文化之旅) as well as the Members of the General Assembly (會員大會) of the Physical Education and Sport Development Alliance, where DOSA is being appointed to be the Deputy Vice Secretary-General as Macau region representative.

各位同事及同學：

《2023中國網球巡迴賽「澳娛綜合」職業級總決賽（澳門）暨全國網球單項錦標賽》將於12月4至10日在澳門網球學校舉行，年度國家積分排名前16名的網球精英將齊聚濠江，在男單、女單及設八簽位的男雙與女雙四個項目中，競逐年度最高殊榮。

 

為讓同事及同學欣賞有關賽事，主辦單位特別贈予12月4日(星期一)的100張門票供大家索取。數量有限，每人最多可領取兩張門票。

 

門票由11月29日中午12:00起N8綜合體育館正門服務台開始派發，取票時必須帶同職員證或學生證正本，到N8綜合體育館正門服務台領取，先到先得。

注意：

  • 取票人必須遵守主辦機構之票務條款及限制。
  • 取票人必須出席活動，門票不得轉讓、出售或作任何形式的商業用途。
  • 主辦方保留所有最終決定權。

The final CTA competition of 2023 is happening in Macau as the highly anticipated CTA Tour SJM Professional Finals (Macao) and National Tennis Championships return for the third consecutive year. From 4 to 10 December 2023 at Macau Tennis Academy, the highest-ranked tennis players from Mainland China will gather to vie for honours in four categories – Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, and Women’s Doubles. China’s top 16 men’s and women’s aces will compete in the singles, while the top 8 teams will compete in the doubles. 

 

 To encourage UM members to participate in this event, the organizing committee is offering 100 free tickets to UM staff and students to attend the matches on 4 Dec (Mon). Each person is entitled to a maximum of two tickets.

 

Tickets will be distributed starting from 12:00, 29 Nov at N8 UM Sports Complex main entrance service counter.  Please bring along with your original staff card or student card. 

To note: 

  • Tickets are subject to the organizer’s ticketing terms and conditions.   
  • Students/staff who receive the tickets must attend the event or participate in the activity and the tickets may not be transferred, sold or used for commercial purposes of any kind. 
  • All rights reserved by the organizer.

UM won bronze medals at the “2023/2024 1st Macau University Tchoukball Invitational”

The “2023/2024 1st Macau University Tchoukball Invitational ” organized by Macau Universitarian Sports Association, was held on 18 and 19 Nov at Macao Polytechnic University. UMSU Tchoukball Club has participated in the competition, and finally won bronze medals in both Men’s and Women’s Group.

「第七十屆澳門格蘭披治大賽車」將於本年11月16至19日舉行。為讓同事及同學欣賞有關賽事，主辦單位特別贈予11月16日(星期四)和11月17日(星期五)的門票供大家索取。數量有限，每人每日最多可領取兩張門票。

 

今年採取先登記，後取票的方式派發門票。

The “Guangdong Student Wushu Open 廣東省學生武術公開賽 ”, hosted by the Guangdong Wushu Association, was being held at Zhuhai No.1 High School Pingsha Campus from 3-5 Nov 2023.  This competition attracted around 1500 athletes from 102 universities, primary schools, secondary schools, and martial arts gyms in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Foshan, and Macau.

UM Martial Arts Team sent a total of 7 team members to participate 14 events in the competition and won 14 gold awards. The details and results are shown as below:

       The “22nd All China University Swimming Championship” was held from 12-18 Oct at 遵義市奧體中心游泳館, which was hosted by the Federation of University Sports of China (FUSC). It attracted 437 athletes from 49 universities.

       The UM Swimming Team has sent a total of 6 team members to participate in this championship and won 1 bronze medal in Women’s 50M Backstroke. The details and results are shown below:
