【Sports Activities】: Korfball Experience Class on 19 Aug, Sat, 14:00-15:00

For promoting the korfball culture in University of Macau, the Korfball Club of UMSU is going to organize “Korfball Experience Class”,  Please find the details as below:

Class Content:

  • Teaching basic korfball skills
  • Bringing a pleasant and healthy exercise experience to participants
  • Developing a platform for participants to know each other
  • Promoting korfball sport in UM

Target Participants:

Activity Highlight 

【Sports Teams】: UM Korfball Team won the 2nd Runner-up at “66th Festival of Sport – President Cup Korfball Sports Trial and Demonstration Invitation Competition 2023”

 

The “66th Festival of Sport – President Cup Korfball Sports Trial and Demonstration Invitation Competition 2023” (organized by Hong Kong China Korfball Association Limited) was successfully held at Kowloon Park Sports Centre in Hong Kong from 27-28 May 2023. The competition attracted a total of 15 teams which came from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan and competed with 4 category. 

UM sent a total of 12 students from Korfball Team to participate in the competition, all team members demonstrated outstanding performance and sportsmanship during the competition. After the exciting competition, UM Korfball Team won the 2nd runner-up in the Youth Category with a score of 9-4 against the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (香港科技大學). The Hong Kong U21 Korfball Team (香港U21合球代表隊) took 1st runner-up in the same category, while the WFSH Korfball Team (萬芳高中) from Taiwan won the championship at last.

“5th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Students Sports Camp”

The “5th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Students Sports Camp”, organized by Jinan University, was being held from 21-25 May in Zhuhai.  UM sent a total of 42 students to participate in this camp. 

The camp included a series of activities like

  • sports and culture tour
  • dance workshops conducted by professionals
  • student exchange with Jinan University student dance association 
  • cheerleading exchange with Guangzhou Sport University

Besides visiting the campus of Jinan University, they also organized the tour to visit Beishan Village in Zhuhai. Our students toured the historic Lingnan-style architecture which is known for its unique cultural and ethnic characteristics. The Village features various cultural activities that allow students to gain a deeper understanding of Guangdong’s culture and history.

Through a series of exchange activities and experiences during these 5 days, participated students were provided with a platform for communication which allow them to share and learn from each other through  different activities, thereby deepening their interpersonal networks.

這次研習營令我第一次親身接觸街舞和locking等舞種,  並有幸與專業的廣州體育學院啦啦隊進行交流,  從他們身上,  我認識到系統訓練對運動產業的重要性,  他們對競技啦啦的熱愛和認真態度,  也是值得我們學習的。作為啦啦隊的成員,  若有機會能再與專業的隊伍交流,  想必能在提升自己的運動水平之外,  更協助促進澳門競技啦啦的發展。

這次研習營對於我這個志願者來說體驗不錯。志願服務工作外還能一起參加活動是很驚喜的,  街舞的學習頗有趣及具有一定難度,  競技啦啦隊的托舉動作觀賞性很高,  不過讓人有些望而生卻,  未敢嘗試。希望競技啦啦隊的成員們在學習了這些新的技能知識後能在自己的舞台上大放異彩。感謝能有這樣的參加機會,  也希望能有更多的人能參與。

在這次為期五天的研習營中,  真的獲益良多。有波子老師和阿牙老師兩位世界級的舞者指導,  拓寬了自己對於街舞視界,  也更新了自己對以往的某些觀念和概念。行程中也有關於啦啦隊的課程,  也與來自廣州體育學院的啦啦隊成員有所交流。我見識到人原來是可以在三米的高空中做出高難道技巧。在網絡上雖然有看過,  但在現場看真的是令我感到特別震撼。總括而言,  這五天的課程,  讓我走出了澳門,  見識了更多未知。希望有下一次的機會能夠再次參加。

They all expressed their enjoyment in the fencing exchange activity and knowing new friends.

【Sports Team】: UM Rock Climbing Team captured 2 Bronzes of Men’s & Women’s Amateur categories at “The 35th Hong Kong Open Sport Climbing Competition”

 

“The 35th Hong Kong Open Sport Climbing Competition” (organized by China Hong Kong Mountaineering and Climbing Union Limited) was successfully held at Siu Lun Sports Centre in Tuen Mun from 6-7 May 2023. UM Rock Climbing Team has sent 5 students (2 men and 3 women) to participate in Men’s Amateur & Women’s Amateur categories of this competition. The following table shows the overall results of UM Rock Climbing Team for the Competition:

“2022/2023 CICA Cheerleading Competition” was held successfully

“2022/2023 CICA Cheerleading Competition” was held successfully on 16 Apr. The Cheerleading Competition is a signature annual event for 10 RCs and it is jointly organized by Committee on Inter-College Affairs (CICA) and the Office of Sports Affairs (OSA).

Besides 300 participants and working personnel of the competition, it attracted over 600 staff and students to attend and support their RC teams on-site. The evaluation of the competition was based on different aspects: Teamwork, Technique, Implementation, Creativity, and Use of Sound and Props. Each team went out all to give the audiences their best and their impressive performance received warm applause and cheers from the audience. The result of CICA Cheerleading Competition are shown as below:

    • Champion : Choi Kai Yau College (CKYC)
    • 1st Runner-Up : Henry Fok Pearl Jubilee College (HFPJC)
    • 2nd Runner-Up : Cheong Kun Lun College (CKLC)
    • 3rd Runner-Up: Stanley Ho East Asia College (SHEAC)
    • 4th Runner-Up: Lui Che Woo College (LCWC)

The cheerleading competition as the final event of the CICA Master’s Cup series competition, the CICA Master’s Cup awards ceremony was also conducted afterwards. Eventually, LCWC won the 2nd Runner-Up, while CKLC and HFPJC tied for the Championship.

澳門競技啦啦隊協會,  比賽裁判

本年度再次擔任CICA啦啦隊比賽評審, 感受到比賽的氣氛明顯較往年熱烈, 主要因去年受制於疫情影響只能線上觀看, 本年度重新開放觀眾坐席, 在觀眾吶喊的加乘下整體感觀更上一層樓。在啦啦競技技巧方面各書院普遍都能穩定完成, 部份隊伍的嘗試和突破更是令我非常驚艷, 期待各隊伍繼續安全地挑戰自我, 盡力、力盡地完成比賽。

感謝CKYC所有啦啦隊小夥伴的付出，也要感謝書院一直以來的鼎力支持！一次次摔倒之後重新站起，一遍遍練習以追求完美，每一個動作，每一種走位都經過反覆思考與努力練習。這份榮譽是屬於CKYC所有小夥伴的。感謝書院的同學一直的熱愛，比賽中所有的工作人員，你們辛苦了！

CICA啦啦隊比賽統籌

大二, 工商管理學院, 馬萬祺羅柏心書院

這次的啦啦隊比賽剛好是在疫情結束後舉辦，今次的啦啦隊比賽是有開放給觀眾進場觀看，當日大概約有600個觀眾觀賞比賽，對比起往年，今年歡呼聲大了很多，每一家書院都很用心準備這次比賽。而為了讓觀眾們看到他們表演以外的訓練點滴，今年也特意為每一家書院剪輯了一條驚喜影片，希望能讓觀眾看到他們是經過刻苦的訓練才得到今次比賽的成果。

In order to promote the sport of korfball on campus while also seeking talented new members for the team, the UM Korfball Team is going to hold a korfball experience on 21 Apr. The activity will include a tryout session, and selected students will conduct training with current team members. Team members who perform well will have the opportunity to compete in different exchange competitions and local competitions. Furthermore, team uniform, professional training, physical training and summer exchange opportunities will be provided to team members as well.
