澳大憲法與基本法教職員培訓開課

“第四屆澳門大學憲法與基本法教職員培訓課程住宿式書院班”於澳大鄭裕彤書院成功舉辦。澳大副校長莫啓明強調,澳大專門為書院教職員設計該課程,旨在優化澳大的兩法培育環境,切實將愛國愛澳精神更好地融入日常教育工作,以法治思維護航書院國情教育高質量發展。

在12月6日的開課儀式上,莫啓明提到,澳大與澳門基本法推廣協會合辦的“第四屆澳門大學憲法與基本法推廣優苗教員培訓課程”早前結束,該課程協同教職員兩法培訓課程,讓澳大實現書院學生與教職員兩法培訓雙覆蓋,充分借助學院專業與書院社群教育相結合的系統優勢,為切實貫徹落實國情教育貢獻力量。

澳大法學院榮休教授駱偉建作為是次培訓課程的導師,以“‘一國兩制’在澳門的成功實踐”為主題,結合自身實際參與澳門基本法設立的工作經驗,生動講解“一國兩制”方針的由來及在澳門實施發展的歷程,探討“一國兩制”在澳門成功實踐的原因和未來方向。他提到,“一國兩制”是經濟發展、民生改善、社會穩定的基石和源泉,是維護澳門社會長期繁榮穩定的頂層設計。

參加培訓的澳大人員包括曹光彪書院院長劉潤東、鄭裕彤書院代院長黃承發、張崑崙書院院長黃民聰、法學院研究助理教授賴冠儒、各書院副院長和導師,以及校長辦公室職員代表等。

為促進學生在書院培養愛國愛澳精神,樹立正確國家安全觀,豐富憲法與基本法知識,澳大積極組織書院教職員參加培訓課程。自2021/22學年以來,澳大已成功舉辦四屆書院教職員憲法與基本法培訓課程,主題涵蓋憲法與基本法、國家安全、愛國主義教育法、“一國兩制”方針等。

UM holds training course on Constitution and Basic Law for faculty and staff

The University of Macau (UM) held the fourth edition of the training course on the Constitution and the Basic Law for faculty and staff of residential colleges. The opening ceremony was held at Cheng Yu Tung College of UM on 6 December. Speaking at the event, UM Vice Rector Mok Kai Meng said that the training course was specially designed for faculty and staff of residential colleges to enhance the university’s education on the two laws and to ensure the quality development of national education within the residential colleges.

Emeritus Professor Lok Wai Kin in the Faculty of Law (FLL), who served as an instructor for the training course, delivered a lecture. He explained the background of the ‘one country, two systems’ policy, and discussed its successful implementation in Macao and future directions.

The training course was attended by college masters, associate masters and fellows of residential colleges, as well as faculty of FLL and staff of the Rector’s Office.

澳大學生於中國高校中葡筆譯賽獲多個獎項

由澳門大學中葡雙語教學暨培訓中心與北京外國語大學西班牙語葡萄牙語學院聯合舉辦的第三屆中國高校中葡筆譯大賽決賽順利於11月22日在兩校同步舉行。澳大學生共獲得一等獎、二等獎和三等獎各兩名。

大賽分“本科生組”和“研究生組”,兩組各設“中譯葡”與“葡譯中”類別,吸引來自內地和澳門26所高校共84名學生參與。今屆大賽有六名得獎者來自澳大人文學院葡文系:田馨兒獲“本科——葡譯中”一等獎;陳少君獲“本科——中譯葡”二等獎;於錢瑤獲“本科——中譯葡”三等獎;阮純玥獲“本科——葡譯中”三等獎;連子墨獲“研究生——葡譯中”一等獎,母爽獲“研究生——中譯葡”二等獎。

是次筆譯大賽選文主要包括“新聞文本”與“文學文本”。大賽旨在促進澳門與內地高校的葡語教學交流,鼓勵葡語專業學生參與中葡筆譯實踐,發掘高素質中葡翻譯人才。

比賽結束後,組委會工作人員將所有作品以匿名形式提交予評審委員會,由委員會成員對作品進行打分,最終根據平均分確定成績排名。評審委員會由澳大人文學院葡文系榮休教授姚京明和北外西葡語學院教授葉志良共同擔任評委會主席,以及八名中葡翻譯領域資深專家組成:“中譯葡”評委為葡萄牙知名翻譯家Tiago NABAIS、澳大人文學院葡文系助理教授Giorgio SINEDINO、上海外國語大學西方語系葡萄牙語教授徐亦行、澳大人文學院葡文系高級講師張劍波;“葡譯中”評為北京大學外國語學院葡萄牙語專業長聘副教授樊星、北京外國語大學西葡語學院葡語系講師金心藝、澳大人文學院葡文系高級講師張曉非及講師盧春暉。

UM students win awards at 3rd Chinese-Portuguese Translation Contest for Higher Education Institutions in China

The finals of the 3rd Chinese-Portuguese Translation Contest for Higher Education Institutions in China were held concurrently at the University of Macau (UM) and Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) on 22 November. Jointly organised by UM’s Chinese-Portuguese Bilingual Teaching and Training Centre and BFSU’s School of Hispanic and Portuguese Studies, the contest aims to promote exchanges in Portuguese language teaching between universities in Macao and mainland China, encourage students in Portuguese studies to gain practical experience in Chinese-Portuguese translation, and identify high-quality Chinese-Portuguese bilingual talent.

The contest was divided into ‘Undergraduate Group’ and ‘Postgraduate Group’, with each category further divided into two categories, ‘Chinese-to-Portuguese Translation’ and ‘Portuguese-to-Chinese Translation’. A total of 84 students from 26 universities in mainland China and Macao participated in the contest. This year, six students from the Department of Portuguese of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FAH) at UM won awards: Tian Xiner won the first prize in the ‘Undergraduate—Portuguese-to-Chinese Translation’ category; Chan Siokuan won the second prize in the ‘Undergraduate—Chinese-to-Portuguese Translation’ category; Yu Qianyao won the third prize in the ‘Undergraduate—Chinese-to-Portuguese Translation’ category; Ruan Chunyue won the third prize in the ‘Undergraduate—Portuguese-to-Chinese Translation’ category; Lian Zimo won the first prize in the ‘Postgraduate—Portuguese-to-Chinese Translation’ category; Mu Shuang won the second prize in the ‘Postgraduate—Chinese-to-Portuguese Translation’ category.

The texts selected for the translation contest were mainly ‘news texts’ and ‘literary texts’. After the contest, all the translated works were submitted anonymously to the jury by the members of the organising committee. The members of the jury scored the works, and determined the final ranking based on the average scores. The jury was co-chaired by Yao Jingming, emeritus professor in the Department of Portuguese of FAH at UM, and Ye Zhiliang, professor in the School of Hispanic and Portuguese Studies at BFSU, with eight experienced experts in the field of Chinese-Portuguese translation serving as judges. The judges for the ‘Chinese-to-Portuguese Translation’ category included Tiago Nabais, renowned Portuguese translator; Giorgio Sinedino, assistant professor in the Department of Portuguese of FAH at UM; Xu Yixing, professor in the School of European and Latin American Studies at Shanghai International Studies University; and Zhang Jianbo, senior instructor in the Department of Portuguese of FAH at UM. The judges for the ‘Portuguese-to-Chinese Translation’ category included Fan Xing, associate professor of Portuguese studies in the School of Foreign Languages at Peking University; Jin Xinyi, lecturer of Portuguese studies in the School of Hispanic and Portuguese Studies at BFSU; Zhang Xiaofei, senior instructor in the Department of Portuguese of FAH at UM; and Lu Chunhui, instructor in the Department of Portuguese of FAH at UM.

Estudantes da UM ganharam prémios no 3º Concurso de Tradução Chinês-Português para Universidades Chinesas

Realizou-se simultaneamente o 3º Concurso de Tradução Chinês-Português para Universidades Chinesas na Universidade de Macau (UM) e na Universidade de Estudos Estrangeiros de Pequim (BFSU) no dia 22 de Novembro. Organizado conjuntamente pelo Centro de Ensino e Formação Bilingue Chinês-Português da UM e pela Faculdade de Estudos Hispânicos e Portugueses da BFSU, o Concurso tem como objectivo promover o intercâmbio no ensino da língua portuguesa entre as universidades de Macau e do Interior da China, encorajar os estudantes de língua portuguesa a participar nas práticas de tradução Chinês-Português e descobrir talentos bilingues de alta qualidade.

O concurso foi dividido em duas categorias: “Tradução Chinês-Português” e “Tradução Português-Chinês”, sendo cada categoria dividida em dois grupos: “Licenciatura” e “Mestrado”. Participaram no concurso 84 estudantes de 26 universidades do Interior da China e de Macau, entre os quais 6 participantes da Faculdade de Letras da UM ganharam prémios no concurso: TIAN Xiner ganhou o Primeiro Prémio de Categoria Licenciatura: Tradução Português-Chinês;  CHAN Siokuan ganhou o Segundo Prémio de Categoria Licenciatura: Tradução Chinês-Português; YU Qianyao ganhou o Terceiro Prémio de Categoria Licenciatura: Tradução Chinês-Português;  RUAN Chunyue ganhou o Terceiro Prémio de Categoria Licenciatura: Tradução Português-Chinês; LIAN Zimo ganhou o Primeiro Prémio de Categoria Mestrado: Tradução Português-Chinês; MU Shuang ganhou o Segundo Prémio de Categoria Mestrado: Tradução Chinês-Português.

Os textos seleccionados para este Concurso foram sobretudo “textos de notícias” e “textos literários”. Após o concurso, todos os trabalhos foram submetidos anonimamente ao Júri. Para garantir a justiça e a imparcialidade do concurso, cada texto foi avaliado e pontuado de forma independente pelos membros do Júri, sendo a classificação final determinada pela pontuação média atribuída. O comité de avaliação foi co-presidido pelo Professor YAO Jingming, Professor Emérito do Departamento de Português da UM, e pelo Professor YE Zhiliang, Professor da Faculdade de Estudos Hispânicos e Portugueses da BFSU, bem como por oito outros especialistas no domínio da tradução chinês-português como juízes. Os juízes para a categoria “Tradução Chinês-Português” foram Tiago NABAIS, tradutor português  bem conhecidoGiorgio SINEDINO, professor auxiliar do Departamento de Português da Faculdade de Letras da UM, XU Yixing, professora catedrática da Faculdade de Estudos Europeus e Latino-Americanos da Universidade de Estudos Internacionais de Xangai, e ZHANG Jianbo, instrutor sénior do Departamento de Português da Faculdade de Letras da UM . Os juízes para a categoria “Tradução Português-Chinês” foram FAN Xing, professora associada do Departamento de Português da Faculdade de Língua Estrangeira da Universidade de Pequim, JIN Xinyi, instrutora da Faculdade de Estudos Hispânicos e Portugueses da Universidade de Estudos Estrangeiros de Pequim, ZHANG Xiaofei, instrutora sénior do Departamento de Português da Faculdade de Letras da UM , e LU Chunhui, instrutor do Departamento de Português da Faculdade de Letras da UM .

澳門大學將於1月12日(星期日)上午11時至下午5時舉辦“澳琴同行——澳大開放日2025”,澳大校園和珠海澳大科技研究院將同步向公眾開放,歡迎澳門和粵港澳大灣區的大眾到場參與各項精彩的活動,近距離、全方位地了解澳大的最新發展和成就,體驗多元的校園文化。

一年一度的澳大開放日是全面了解學科專業、學習模式,以及體驗育人環境的好機會。澳大是首間延伸到橫琴深合區開展辦學和實驗的澳門高校,為讓大家了解澳琴兩地聯動發展的最新情況,今年澳大開放日繼續於澳門和橫琴兩地同步舉辦。當天上午11時在澳大校園的圖書館廣場舉行啟動儀式後,全日200多項豐富多彩的活動陸續開展,除可現場諮詢入學及課程資訊,與澳大師生面對面交流外,還能體驗校園運動設施,欣賞文藝視聽表演,玩轉各種互動攤位遊戲、趣味科學實驗、工作坊,聆聽前沿學術及科普講座,參加“做一日大學生”、書院獎賞遊等,感受大學的學習和生活環境。大家還可參與終極大抽獎,只需於現場進入微信小程序集齊電子蓋章,就有機會贏取最新款運動相機。為方便無法親臨現場人士,開放日活動亦設有現場直播,歡迎感興趣人士線上參與,雲端諮詢入學及獲取課程資訊。

UM Open Day to be held in both Macao and Hengqin on 12 January

The University of Macau (UM) will hold the ‘Connecting Macao and Hengqin—UM Open Day 2025’ on 12 January (Sunday), from 11:00am to 5:00pm. Both the UM campus and the Zhuhai UM Science & Technology Research Institute will be open to the public. Visitors from Macao and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area are welcome to visit and participate in a variety of activities to explore UM’s latest developments and achievements, and to experience its diverse campus culture.

Held once a year, the UM Open Day provides an excellent opportunity for the public to gain a comprehensive understanding of the university’s academic programmes, education model, and learning environment. UM is the first university in Macao to extend its teaching and research activities to the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. This year’s UM Open Day will continue to be held in both Macao and Hengqin to showcase the latest developments in the integrated development between the two places. Following the opening ceremony at 11:00am at the Library Plaza on the UM campus, more than 200 engaging activities will take place throughout the day. In addition to accessing admission and programme information and interacting with UM faculty and students, visitors can experience the sports facilities on the UM campus, enjoy cultural performances, participate in various interactive booth games, science experiments and workshops, and attend academic and science talks on cutting-edge topics. They can also join the ‘A Day at UM’ campus tour and the ‘Residential College Rewarding Tour’ to get a glimpse of the learning and living environment at UM. Additionally, visitors can enter the lucky draw for a chance to win an action camera by collecting all the stamps via the WeChat mini programme available on site. The activities throughout the Open Day will be livestreamed, especially for those unable to join the event in person. All are welcome to watch the live stream for information on admissions and academic programmes.

A number of restaurants and shops on the UM campus will offer special discounts on the Open Day. Visitors can reach the UM campus by taxi or bus (No. 71 and 73 from the Macao Peninsula, No. 72 and 701X from Taipa). Visitor car parks are also available on the UM campus. In addition, the Zhuhai UM Science & Technology Research Institute in Hengqin will be open on the Open Day, offering admission talks, research seminars, alumni sharing sessions, guided tours, and booth games.

美國臨床藥學專家於澳大談緩解癌症生存者未盡之需

澳門大學今(3)日舉辦“大學講壇”,由美國加州大學爾灣分校藥學院臨床藥學系創系主任及教授Alexandre Chan以“癌症生存者的未盡之需:我們的研究機遇”為題發表演講,分享對緩解癌症生存者未滿足需求的臨床和研究經驗。

澳大副校長許敬文致辭時表示,Alexandre Chan是藥物治療和腫瘤藥學領域的專家。他亦是新加坡國立癌症中心客座教授,目前是國際癌症支持治療協會(MASCC)的候任主席,以及美國臨床藥學院(ACCP)院士和國際腫瘤藥學從業者協會(ISOPP)會士。Alexandre Chan在醫學和藥學期刊上發表了 290 多篇與癌症支持性療法、癌症生存者等主題相關的論文,其研究項目吸引了美國及新加坡的政府機構、基金會和製藥公司合共超過 700 萬美元的支持。

講座上,Alexandre Chan提到鑒於全球癌症患者激增,其實驗室與國際組織合作進行了大量研究,分析患者從確診癌症到治療及其後的復健對身體、心理、情感、社會和經濟的影響,以改善對癌症患者的支援和藥物護理。通過對未滿足需求的評估,其實驗室的研究發現了許多緩解癌症生存者未盡之需的機會。Alexandre Chan分享了其實驗室為減少癌症生存者未滿足需求所做的持續努力,為在場人士帶來啟發。

問答及交流環節由澳大中華醫藥研究院院長陳新主持,Alexandre Chan與參與者交流互動,討論氣氛熱烈。

US clinical pharmacy expert gives talk at UM on unmet needs in cancer survivorship

The University of Macau (UM) held a talk titled ‘Research Opportunities to Address Unmet Needs in Cancer Survivorship’ today (3 January) as part of its University Lecture Series. The speaker was Alexandre Chan, founding chair and professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice at the School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of California, Irvine.

In his speech, UM Vice Rector Michael Hui introduced Prof Chan and highlighted his expertise in pharmacotherapy and oncology pharmacy. He also mentioned Prof Chan’s academic and research achievements, including his publications on cancer supportive care and survivorship in medical and pharmacy journals, and his research projects funded by government agencies, foundations and pharmaceutical companies in the United States and Singapore.

During the talk, Prof Chan mentioned that his laboratory, in collaboration with international organisations, has conducted extensive research to analyse the physical, psychological, emotional, social, and economic impact on patients from cancer diagnosis through treatment and rehabilitation, with the aim of improving support and pharmaceutical care for cancer patients. Prof Chan also shared his laboratory’s ongoing efforts to address and reduce the unmet needs of cancer survivors. In addition, Prof Chan engaged with the audience in the Q&A and discussion session moderated by Chen Xin, director of the Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences.

澳大舉辦粵港澳大灣區孔子學院合作大學聯盟年會暨高端論壇

為慶祝澳門特別行政區成立25周年和孔子學院成立20周年,澳門大學孔子學院舉辦2024年第三屆粵港澳大灣區孔子學院合作大學聯盟年會暨高端論壇,澳門大學、香港理工大學、中山大學、華南理工大學、廣東外語外貿大學、華南師範大學、廣州大學、嶺南師範學院、深圳大學等多所高校代表齊聚一堂,推動國際中文教育事業的發展。

會議以“跨文化視域下的國際中文教學資源與文化傳播創新”為主題進行探討。澳大人文學院院長、孔子學院院長徐杰致辭表示,希望會議能為聯盟各成員高校及孔子學院提供一個交流平台,彼此分享國際中文的教學和管理中取得的經驗、成就及發展模式,進一步加深大灣區院校及孔子學院之間的攜手合作,在已經取得豐碩成果的基礎上,通過高品質、高水準的國際中文教學及中國文化傳播,促進各國人民之間的相互理解和友好往來,為構築“各美其美,美人之美,美美與共”的人類美好理想鋪路搭橋。

中國國際中文教育基金會副理事長、秘書長趙靈山表示,聯盟為大灣區高校探索孔子學院事業發展的新路徑提供了寶貴的交流平台和經驗範例,為國際中文教育事業的發展提供了豐富的內容支撐,從而為推動國際中文教育事業的發展貢獻了一份寶貴的力量。展望未來,聯盟要繼續秉承使命,不斷開拓創新,深化合作,為促進國際中文教育事業的繁榮發展而不懈努力。

廣東省教育廳交流合作處(港澳台辦)處長、主任李金俊提到,聯盟各成員高校緊密合作,積極整合大灣區資源,共同推進國際中文教育事業發展,為促進中外文化交流、增進中外人民友誼發揮了重要作用。在世界中文大會召開的契機下,他希望聯盟未來應該繼續挖掘內部潛力,著力提升教學資源建設,彰顯多元文化特色,實現資源整合互補,共建共用;同時創新文化傳播方式,加強聯盟品牌建設,講好大灣區故事。

廣東外語外貿大學副校長何傳添表示,聯盟將堅持以習近平總書記致2024世界中文大會的賀信精神為指引,在中國國際中文教育基金會和廣東省教育廳的部署指導下,秉承“互通互鑒、合力共贏”的原則,推動大灣區國際中文教育及孔子學院的發展。

是次會議分為高端論壇、專題演講、院長論壇暨“中文+”模式創新論壇等環節,國際中文教育領域專家學者、孔子學院事務相關領導及代表就國際化辦學、孔子學院建設以及國際中文教育等方面進行深入討論及意見交換。

在聯盟2024年度理事會上,廣東外語外貿大學國際交流合作部(港澳台事務工作部)部長、孔子學院辦公室主任周鵬代表聯盟理事長及秘書處單位向各成員單位匯報聯盟2024年工作總結及2025年工作規劃,並指在聯盟各成員高校的通力合作下,聯盟繼續深耕國際中文教育事業,不斷探索國際中文教育發展的新模式,建立了共建共用的合作機制。今年,聯盟各項工作繼續穩妥有序推進,在品牌建設、人員管理、教學建設、文化交流等方面取得了新的進展,通過召開聯盟工作會議、舉辦主題圓桌論壇、舉辦中華文化知識競賽、開展國際中文教師志願者崗中培訓等系列舉措,進一步打造大灣區孔子學院合作大學交流協作平台。

廣東省教育廳交流合作處(港澳台辦)四級調研員周柳餘總結表示,會議為高校國際中文教育學科建設及孔子學院工作提供了新思路。各高校要充分認識國際中文教育的重要性,在習近平總書記致世界中文大會賀信精神的指引下,應在推動交流的同時,更加注重教學品質的提高,從提高教學法、師資、志願者及教材品質等多方面著手,利用聯盟這一平台,充分結合孔子學院所在國家和地區的特性和特色,廣泛開展學術文化交流活動,為大灣區國際中文教育貢獻智慧和力量。

參會人員紛紛表示,會議為高校國際中文教育學科建設及孔子學院工作提供了新思路,並會將成果運用到實際工作中,繼續為講好中國故事、講好大灣區故事貢獻力量。聯盟將繼續以推廣國際中文教育為主要任務,以品牌塑造為關鍵著力點,通過聯盟成員高校建設的23所孔子學院及課堂為平台,繼續為中外人文交流、文明互鑒、民心相通作出新的貢獻。

出席會議的嘉賓還包括澳大副校長馬許願(Rui Martins)、嶺南師範學院副校長吳濤。

UM holds Annual Conference of Confucius Institute Alliance in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Confucius Institute, the Confucius Institute at the University of Macau (UM) held the 3rd Annual Conference of the Confucius Institute (Chinese International Education) Alliance in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The event brought together representatives from several universities, including UM, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Sun Yat-sen University, South China University of Technology, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, South China Normal University, Guangzhou University, Lingnan Normal University, and Shenzhen University, to promote the development of Chinese international education.

The theme of the conference was ‘Chinese international education resources and innovation in cultural communication from a cross-cultural perspective’. In his opening remarks, Xu Jie, dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and director of the Confucius Institute at UM, expressed hope that the conference would provide a platform for members of the alliance to share their experiences, achievements, and development models in Chinese international education and management, thereby deepening cooperation among universities and Confucius Institutes in the Greater Bay Area and promoting mutual understanding and exchanges among people from different countries.

Zhao Lingshan, vice president and secretary general of the Chinese International Education Foundation; Li Jinjun, director of the Exchange and Cooperation Division (Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office) of the Department of Education of Guangdong Province; and He Chuatian, vice president of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, also spoke at the event. They all expressed hope that the alliance will continue to improve teaching resources for Chinese international education, demonstrate multiculturalism, and achieve integration and sharing of resources among alliance members, so as to promote the development of Chinese international education and Confucius Institutes in the Greater Bay Area and beyond.

In his concluding remarks, Zhou Liuyu, level IV division rank official of the Exchange and Cooperation Division (Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office) of the Department of Education of Guangdong Province, said that universities should recognise the importance of Chinese international education, improve the quality of teaching while promoting exchanges, and make use of the alliance to carry out extensive academic and cultural exchange activities, thereby contributing to the development of Chinese international education in the Greater Bay Area.

The conference was also attended by Rui Martins, vice rector of UM, and Wu Tao, vice president of Lingnan Normal University.

Faculty and student of UM Faculty of Law publish correspondence in Nature

Du Li, professor in the Faculty of Law at the University of Macau (UM), and his doctoral student Wang Zhangyu have published a correspondence in the prestigious science journal Nature. The article highlights the legal challenges of data sharing and collaboration in genomics research between China and the United States.

In recent years, Prof Du’s research team has focused on the legal aspects of cross-border health data flows and international collaboration in genomics research. The publication of the correspondence in Nature not only recognises the research achievements of Prof Du’s team, but also highlights the high level of international attention to this issue, and the urgent need to establish international cooperation mechanisms in this area.

澳大學生於外語賽獲全國季軍

澳門大學學生李響在2024“外研社‧國才杯”全國大學生外語能力大賽國賽表現出色,在英語組國際傳播綜合能力賽項中獲得全國季軍。比賽在全國共有31個省千餘所院校約70萬名學生參加。經過10個月的初賽、複賽和省賽,共有1,138名選手進入全國決賽階段。

是次比賽是澳大工商管理學院、何鴻燊東亞書院的大二學生李響繼全澳英語演講比賽中獲得亞軍以及在“21世紀杯”全國英語演講比賽中獲得一等獎後,再次站上英語演講比賽的頒獎台。李響表示,能夠進入總決賽是一份榮譽,亦深感經過多場比賽後,其演講能力、思維深度和臨場發揮都進步了不少;未來她將繼續努力提升其英語水準,為學習和工作打下堅實的基礎。

比賽期間,李響得到澳大人文學院英語中心導師陳嘉麟和博士生李月明的專業培訓和指導。陳嘉麟還在比賽現場與李響一起研究比賽策略,對她的成功起到關鍵作用。李響在是次比賽展現出優秀的英語演講技巧與創意,並運用豐富的生活經驗和對國情的了解,充分展示了澳大學生的風采和文化底蘊,贏得了評委和觀眾的高度評價,最終獲得該賽項的全國季軍。值得一提的是,她在第三輪獲得小組的第二高分,成為粵港澳大灣區唯一一位晉級全國總決賽的選手。

今屆比賽主題為“理解當代中國”,決賽分為四輪進行。第一輪為書面綜合考查,內容涵蓋閱讀、翻譯、寫作等多種形式。第二輪為定題演講,選手需以“The Chinese Dragon is Good”為題,準備3分鐘的演講並回答問題。第三輪為即興演講,選手需在30分鐘內準備3分鐘的即席演講。第四輪為全國總決賽,以9人擂台賽的形式進行,每人完成3分鐘的定題演講,並回答對擋選手及評委的提問。

UM student wins third prize in national foreign language contest

A student from the University of Macau (UM), Li Xiang, excelled in the ‘2024 “FLTRP·ETIC Cup” “Understanding Contemporary China” National Foreign Language Contest for College Students’ and won a third prize in the International Communication Comprehensive Ability category of the English group. A total of 700,000 students from over a thousand institutions in 31 provinces participated in various categories of the contest. After 10 months of preliminaries, semi-finals, and provincial finals, 1,138 contestants advanced to the national finals for the International Communication Comprehensive Ability category.

Li is a second-year student in the Faculty of Business Administration and Stanley Ho East Asia College and has previously won a second prize in the 23rd Macao-wide English Speech Contest and a first prize in the 29th ‘21st Century Cup’ National English Speaking Competition. Li impressed the judges and audience with her exceptional English public speaking skills and creativity and reached the national finals. Notably, she was the only contestant from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area among the finalists. Li’s outstanding performance was also attributed to Chan Ka Lon, an instructor in the English Language Centre, and Lei Ut Meng, a doctoral student in the Department of English, who provided her with professional training and guidance throughout the contest.

美國臨床藥學專家下周五於澳大談癌症生存者未盡之需

澳門大學將於1月3日(星期五)舉辦大學講壇之“癌症生存者的未盡之需:我們的研究機遇”講座,邀請美國加州大學爾灣分校藥學院臨床藥學系創系主任及教授Alexandre Chan主講,分享其實驗室對癌症生存者未滿足需求的研究,探討緩解不同需求及改善其身心健康和福祉的研究。歡迎有興趣人士參加。

Alexandre Chan亦是新加坡國立癌症中心客座教授及國際癌症支持治療協會 (MASCC)的候任主席。作為藥物治療和腫瘤藥學領域的專家,Alexandre Chan已在醫學和藥學期刊上發表了超過 290 篇有關癌症支持性療法、癌症生存者等主題的論文。他的研究項目吸引了美國及新加坡的政府機構、基金會和製藥公司合共超過 700 萬美元的支持。

US clinical pharmacy expert to give talk on unmet needs in cancer survivorship at UM next Friday

The University of Macau (UM) will hold a talk titled ‘Research Opportunities to Address Unmet Needs in Cancer Survivorship’ on 3 January (Friday) as part of its University Lecture Series. The talk will be given by Alexandre Chan, founding chair and professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice at the School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of California, Irvine. Prof Chan will discuss his laboratory’s research on the unmet needs of cancer survivors and explore ways to address their various needs and improve their physical and mental health and well-being.

The talk will begin at 3:30pm in the Multi-function Hall of the UM Guest House (N1-G014) and will be conducted in English. All are welcome to attend. 澳大悼前校長周禮杲

澳門大學前校長周禮杲教授於12月20日與世長辭,享年91歲。對周教授的辭世,澳大表示沉痛哀悼和深切懷念,並向其家屬發出唁函慰問。

澳大表示,周教授畢生專注電機、電子及生物醫學工程研究,奉獻高教杏壇。周教授於1991年受邀到澳大任教,1994年被委任為澳大副校長,並於1997年至1999年出任澳大第六任校長,時值澳門回歸過渡的重要階段,回歸後亦擔任澳大議庭成員一職,積極支持澳大發展。

周教授任澳大校長期間,肩負“為澳門回歸培養人才”的歷史使命,進一步加強學術研究,優化校園設施,提升師資質量,為澳大的國際化發展奠定了堅實的基礎。周教授畢生奉獻科研及教育,桃李滿天下,並致力推動澳門高教事業,成就斐然,備受同儕和後輩尊崇。

UM mourns former rector Prof Zhou Ligao

Prof Zhou Ligao, former rector of the University of Macau (UM), has passed away at the age of 91. The university is deeply saddened by the news and has sent a letter of condolence to Prof Zhou’s family.

Prof Zhou dedicated his life to research in electrical, electronic and biomedical engineering, and made significant contributions to higher education. He joined UM in 1991, was appointed vice rector in 1994, and served as the sixth rector from 1997 to 1999, during the crucial period of Macao’s return to the motherland. After the handover, Prof Zhou continued to support UM’s development as a member of the University Assembly.

During his tenure as rector of UM, Prof Zhou embraced the mission of ‘cultivating talent for Macao’s return to the motherland’, further strengthened academic research, enhanced campus facilities, and improved the quality of faculty, thus laying a solid foundation for UM’s international development. His lifelong dedication to research and education has left a lasting legacy, and his remarkable achievements in advancing higher education in Macao have earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and successors.

首屆澳門大學與澳門協和醫院聯合學術研討會成功舉辦

2024年12月15日,澳門大學與澳門協和醫院聯合舉辦的首屆學術研討會在離島醫療綜合體北京協和醫院澳門醫學中心(下稱“澳門協和醫院”)圓滿舉行。本次研討會旨在促進雙方在醫學研究領域的合作與交流,吸引了來自澳門協和醫院及澳門大學健康科學學院、中華醫藥研究院、科技學院、應用物理及材料工程研究院近50位專家學者參與。

澳門協和醫院副院長李偉成醫生和澳門大學副校長葛偉教授分别致歡迎辭。李副院長表示:“今年8月份澳門協和醫院與澳門大學簽署合作框架協定,為雙方的合作拉開了序幕。是次學術交流會則為雙方學者們之間開展切實可行的合作研究工作奠定了基礎。加強交流、互通互助、助力澳門大健康產業的發展是我們的共同願景。”葛副校長表示:“‘澳門大學—澳門協和醫院聯合臨床醫學研究中心’的正式成立標誌著雙方在推動臨床醫學教學與研究方面邁出了堅實且關鍵的一步,在澳大醫學院的建設過程中發揮不可或缺的重要作用。研討會的舉辦,為我們雙方未來的交流合作建立了一個重要的機制平台,期待透過雙方的深度合作,借鑒北京協和醫院豐富的臨床經驗和先進的醫療技術,為澳大醫學院的教學、科研以及人才培養奠定堅實基礎,共同打造一個具有國際水準的醫學教育與研究高地。”

是次研討會雙方各有11位講者,圍繞臨床疾病的發病機制,影像評估及治療策略等方面展開探討,分享了各自的前沿研究成果,進行了深入的學術思想交流。此外,澳門協和醫院也帶領澳大學者參觀了綜合病房、日間診療中心、放射治療中心及國際醫療中心的先進醫療設備。透過匯聚和整合雙方的優勢資源,相信在生物醫學、臨床醫學、困難重症、中醫藥及大健康等多個領域可以開展一系列創新性研究,為澳門大健康產業的繁榮提供強有力的支持。本次研討會的深入交流與探討,將進一步明確合作方向,拓展合作領域,深化合作內涵,為雙方的持續發展注入源源不絕的動力。

First joint symposium between UM and Macao Union Hospital successfully held

The first joint symposium between the University of Macau (UM) and the Islands Healthcare Complex – Macao Medical Center of Peking Union Medical College Hospital (Macao Union Hospital) was successfully held at Macao Union Hospital. The aim of the symposium was to promote cooperation and exchange in medical research between the two sides. It brought together nearly 50 experts and scholars from the Faculty of Health Sciences, Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences, Faculty of Science and Technology, and Institute of Applied Physics and Materials Engineering of UM, and Macao Union Hospital.

Lei Wai Seng, deputy director of Macao Union Hospital, and Ge Wei, vice rector of UM, delivered welcome remarks at the event. There were 11 speakers from each side, who discussed the mechanisms, imaging evaluation, and treatment strategies of clinical diseases. They also shared their latest research findings and engaged in in-depth exchanges. In addition, UM scholars visited the general wards, day wards, radiotherapy centre, and international medical centre of Macao Union Hospital to learn about their advanced medical equipment and facilities.
