為促進澳門大學學習氛圍和校園演講的發展，澳門大學將舉辦校內演講比賽。透過比賽，學生能夠更深入地了解“一國兩制”政策的內涵和內容，並探討自己在澳門特區發展中的角色和責任。是次比賽透過演講的方式，讓學生展示其演講技巧、表達能力、創意和思維能力的舞台。比賽將邀請教授和演講專家擔任評委，讓學生有機會接受專業評委的指導，進一步提升自身的演講技巧和表達能力。

2023/2024 UM Speech Contest 

To promote the learning atmosphere and campus speech development at the University of Macau, an internal speech competition will be held. Through this competition, students will have a deeper understanding of the “One Country, Two Systems” policy and explore their roles and responsibilities in the development of the Macao SAR. The competition also serves as a platform for students to showcase their speech skills, expressive abilities, creativity, and thinking skills to others through public speaking. Additionally, professors and speech experts will be invited to serve as judges, providing students with the opportunity to further enhance their speech skills and expressive abilities under professional guidance.

Interested staff or students are welcome to attend the finals of the 2023/2024 UM Speech Contest as audiences. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Target audience: Undergraduate students at the University of Macau

Speech topic: Growing with the Special Administrative Region, creating a new chapter of “One Country, Two Systems”

Finals (3-4 minute public speech):

Date: January 26, 2024 (Friday)

Time: 7:30 pm

Venue: E31 Theatre, E31 Student Activity Centre, University of Macau

Language: Cantonese or Mandarin

Prizes:

Champion: Supermarket vouchers worth a total of MOP 2,000

First runner-up: Supermarket vouchers worth a total of MOP 1,500

Second runner-up: Supermarket vouchers worth a total of MOP 1,000

All finalists will receive certificates and qualify to represent the University of Macau in the Macau Inter-University Diplomatic Speech Competition and the Constitution and Basic Law Speech Competition.

Judging panel: Consisting of speech experts and professors as preliminary video judges and final judges

Scoring criteria: Speech content 50%, expressive skills 40%, overall effect 10% (deduction of 5 points for every 10 seconds of overtime)

*Students who attend the WHOLE talk will be awarded 1 smart point 20 “UM Competencies (CS)” on “Responsible citizenship” in the Whole Person Development Award Programme.

Please observe the following guidelines of the Smart Point scheme:

  1. Students who arrive late or leave early within 10 minutes will be given only half a Smart Point.
  2. Students who arrive late or leave early over 10 minutes will NOT be given any Smart Point.
  3. Students who leave the venue during the activity for over 15 minutes will NOT be given any Smart Points.
  4. Students are required to check in/out of the activity with their valid Student ID Card.
  5. For those who do not respect the activity or ignore the staff’s guidance, the Student Affairs Office (SAO) reserves the right to cancel his/her Smart Point. SAO also reserves the right to interpret and process the Smart Point scheme.

澳門大學舞蹈隊參與 “2024 元宵特別節目”的攝制

為慶祝元宵佳節，澳門大學舞蹈隊受邀次於1月6日參與由澳門有線電視、廣州廣播電視台聯合攝制的 “2024 元宵特別節目”，在橫琴天匯星影視綜合城音樂噴泉廣場城完成攝影。

是次錄影，澳門大學舞蹈隊精心準備節目“舞蹈蓮開”舞蹈表演向大眾祝賀，展現出華麗、活力和生機勃勃的舞姿，推高元宵節歡慶的氛圍。

是次元宵特別節目由珠海橫琴廣傳文化傳播有限公司承辦，獲澳門教育及青年發展局、深合區民生事務局擔任支持指導單位，獲珠海橫琴天匯星實業有限公司提供場地贊助。節目邀請多組來自澳門的、不同年齡層的表演隊伍參與，除澳門大學舞蹈隊外，同場表演嘉賓有澳門婦女聯合總會、澳門培正中學、澳門濠江中學、聖公會中學 (澳門)、澳門演藝人黃保賢、叮叮、練習生藝能培訓中心等，顯現連串歌舞精彩演出。

該節目預計將於2月24日元宵佳節當晚，於澳門有線電視、廣州廣播電視台、成都廣播電視台播出。

University of Macau Dance Troupe participated in the filming of the “2024 Lantern Festival Special Program”

To celebrate the Lantern Festival, the University of Macau Dance Troupe was invited to participate in the filming of the “2024 Lantern Festival Special Program” jointly produced by Macau Cable TV and Guangzhou Broadcasting Network on January 6. The filming took place at the Music Fountain Square in Hengqin Star Peak Studios.

For this filming, the University of Macau Dance Troupe prepared a dance performance called “Dancing Lotus” to greet the public and showcase their splendid, energetic, and vibrant dance moves, enhancing the festive atmosphere of the Lantern Festival.

The Lantern Festival Special Program is organized by Zhuhai Hengqin Broadcaster Culture Communication Co., Ltd. and is supported by the Education and Youth Development Bureau and the Livelihood Affairs Bureau of Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. The venue sponsorship is provided by Zhuhai Hengqin Star Peak Studios. The program invited multiple performance groups from Macau of different age groups to participate. In addition to the University of Macau Dance Troupe, other guest performers included the Women’s General Association of Macau, Pui Ching Middle School, Hou Kong Middle School, Macau Anglican College, Macau performers Bowie Wong and DingDing, and TRAINEE, presenting a series of wonderful song and dance performances.

The program is scheduled to be broadcast on the evening of 24 February at the Lantern Festival on Macau Cable TV, Guangzhou Broadcasting Network, and Chengdu Radio & Television.

Introduction
The UM Dance Troupe (UMDT) is a happy and enthusiastic dance team that aims to cultivate outstanding dance talents in a rich and diverse campus art culture. Established in October 2014, the UM Dance Team aims to cultivate UM students’ interest in dance art, enrich campus art culture, provide more diversified performances, and cultivate dance talents. The dance team recruits students from various colleges, and the team members will not only receive guidance from professional instructors regularly but also have the opportunity to show their fists and perform their choreographed dances.
 
The objectives of the Dance Troupe are
1. To provide a platform for dance enthusiasts to perform and exchange dance knowledge.
2. To improve the performance and training quality of members.
3. To enhance members’ dance interest, enthusiasm, and communication and build up good friendships through training and performances.
4. To promote dance culture on campus.

2023葡語辯論賽(決賽)完滿結束

為推廣葡語辯論文化及鼓勵學生參加各種不同活動，澳大葡語辯論隊於2023年11月8日於校內進行葡語辯論賽(決賽)，是次進階組的辯題探討“家長曬娃的利與弊”，而初階組則討論“婚前應否同居同住”；活動開放予有興趣同學觀賽。評審團由人文學院葡文系葡亞研究中心主任兼高級導師 Mário Nunes、高級導師 Júlio Reis Jatobá及導師肖文輝組成。各組別得獎名單如下：

Concurso de debate em língua portuguesa 2023 (Final) concluído com sucesso

Para promover a cultura do debate em língua portuguesa e incentivar a participação dos estudantes em diversas atividades, a Equipa de Debate em Língua Portuguesa da UM realizou, com sucesso, as finais do Concurso de Debate em língua portuguesa no dia 8 de Novembro de 2023, na universidade, com acesso aberto ao público. A moção para o grupo avançado foi “Sharenting é algo positivo ou negativo” e a moção para o grupo intermédio foi “Os casais devem viver juntos antes de casar”. Os juízes foram Mário Nunes, Diretor do Centro de Investigação de Estudos Luso-Asiáticos e Assistente Eventual, Júlio Reis Jatobá, Assistente Eventual, e Rui Manuel Esteves da Silva, Assistente Auxiliar, do Departamento de Português da Faculdade de Letras. A lista das equipas vencedoras é a seguinte:

Portuguese Debating Contest 2023 (Final) organized successfully

To promote Portuguese debating culture and encourage students to participate in different activities, the UM Portuguese Debating Team organized the Portuguese Debating Contest (Final) on 8 November 2023 on campus. The event was open for the public to enjoy as well. The debating topic for the advanced group was “Sharenting is highly positive or negative” and the topic for the intermediate group was “Should couples live together before getting married”. The judges were from the Department of Portuguese of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities who were Mário Nunes, Director of Research Centre for Luso-Asian Studies and Senior Instructor, Júlio Reis Jatobá, Senior Instructor, and Rui Manuel Esteves da Silva, Instructor. Here is the list of the winners:

Sobre a equipa
A Equipa de Debate em Língua Portuguesa da Universidade de Macau (PDT) foi oficialmente criada em 2014, com o objetivo de promover a língua portuguesa no campus e cultivar o interesse dos estudantes pela língua. A equipa representa a Universidade de Macau no Concurso de Debate em Língua Portuguesa para Instituições de Ensino Superior da Ásia e compete com equipas de outras instituições, empenhando-se em alcançar o nível mais alto.
 
Requerimentos
1. Estudantes da UM (os estudantes do Departamento de Português são considerados preferencialmente).
2. Bom domínio tanto da língua portuguesa escrita como da falada.
3. Demonstração de espírito de equipe.
4. Demonstração de pensamento crítico.
5. Capacidade de participar em sessões regulares de formação.

We organize regular trainings for team members to improve members’ Portuguese and debating skills. PDT represents the University of Macau to compete in the Portuguese-speaking Asian Universities Debating Competition annually.

Requirements

  1. UM Students (priority will be given to students of the Department of Portuguese);
  2. Good communication and reading and writing skills in Portuguese;
  3. Value team spirit;
  4. With the ability to think critically and pay attention to current affairs;
  5. Able to attend regular training.

The UM Dance Troupe (UMDT) is a happy and enthusiastic dance team that aims to cultivate outstanding dance talents in a rich and diverse campus art culture. Established in October 2014, the UM Dance Team aims to cultivate UM students’ interest in dance art, enrich campus art culture, provide more diversified performances, and cultivate dance talents. The dance team recruits students from various colleges, and the team members will not only receive guidance from professional instructors regularly but also have the opportunity to show their fists and perform their own choreographed dances.
 
The objectives of the Dance Troupe are
1. To provide a platform for dance enthusiasts to perform and exchange dance knowledge.
2. To improve the performance and training quality of members.
3. To enhance members’ dance interest, enthusiasm, and communication and build up good friendships through training and performances.
4. To promote dance culture on campus.

澳門大學舞蹈隊是一個快樂熱情的舞蹈隊，成立於2014年10月，旨在豐富多元的校園藝術文化，培養優秀舞蹈人才。舞蹈隊吸納了來自各學院的同學。隊員們將接受專業導師的指導，定期訓練；還有機會大展拳腳，表演自己編排的舞蹈。
 
成立目的
1. 為舞蹈愛好者提供演出及交流的平台。
2. 提昇隊員的演出水平和訓練質素。
3. 培養隊員對舞蹈的興趣及熱誠，並透過排練及演出建立友誼。
4. 在校內推廣舞蹈藝術文化。

活動概況： 澳門伯多祿五世劇院是位於澳門崗頂前地的古老劇院，被認定為中國第一所西式劇院，又名崗頂劇院。

舞動療愈（Dance Therapy）體驗是讓人們主動使用肢體動作，表達與探索內在的心裡歷程，並且進一步幫助人們整合身體、心裡、情緒、認知、獲得身心愉悅的治療活動。2023年8月5日下午16時，澳門現代芭蕾舞團將在澳門伯多祿五世劇院內開展“Spark of Life”舞動療愈體驗，希望參與者們相約崗頂，一起感受肢體舞動的魅力，獲得身心愉悅的奇妙感受~

澳大葡語辯論隊藉葡語日推廣葡語辯論文化

澳大葡語辯論隊於2023年4月20日參與由人文學院葡文系舉辦的澳大葡語日，為活動開展一場唇槍舌戰的葡語辯論模擬賽；是次辯題探討“社交網絡使人變得較不活躍”，網絡與生活息息相關，網絡發展與人的關係更是密不可分；同學透過辯論了解正反雙方的立場及觀點，進一步幫助他們從不同角度思考。

澳大葡語辯論隊一直積極參與由學校舉辦的葡語語言文化相關的活動，以語言作為紐帶，用辯論的方式，向全校師生推廣葡語辯論文化，亦透過不同辯題及論點，緊貼學生的日常生活、時事知識等，傳遞及幫助同學了解各辯題背後的意義。

是次參與模擬辯論的隊員為：韋開元 (人文學院葡語研究, 大四, 何鴻燊東亞書院)、王佩琳 (人文學院葡語研究, 大一, 滿珍紀念書院)、黃昭盈 (人文學院葡語研究, 大四, 滿珍紀念書院)以及張馨 (人文學院葡語研究, 大四, 何鴻燊東亞書院)。

 

UM Portuguese Debating Team promoted Portuguese Debating Culture on the UM Portuguese Day

The University of Macau Portuguese Debating Team (UM PDT) participated in the UM Portuguese Day hosted by the Portuguese Department of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities on April 20, 2023. As part of the event, they held a mock Portuguese debate on the topic of “Social Networks Make People Less Active”. The internet is closely intertwined with our lives, and the development of the internet is inseparable from our relationships with others. Through the debate, students were able to understand the positions and perspectives of both sides, which helped them to think from different angles.

UM PDT has been an active participant in various Portuguese language and culture events. Using language as the linking thread, the team promotes Portuguese debate among all students and teachers. Meanwhile, the different motions debated are highly relevant to students’ daily lives and current affairs, which helps to signify the underlying meaning behind each debate topic.

The PDT students participating in this mock debating performance are Inês Wei (Portuguese Studies of FAH, Year 4, SEAC), Manuela Wong (Portuguese Studies of FAH, Year 1, MCMC), Celeste Wong (Portuguese Studies of FAH, Year 4, MCMC), and Ísis Zhang (Portuguese Studies of FAH, Year 4, SEAC).

 

A Equipa de Debate em Língua Portuguesa da UM promoveu a Cultura de Debate em Português no Dia de Português da UM

A Equipa de Debate em Língua Portuguesa da Universidade de Macau (UMPDT) participou no Dia de Português da UM, organizado pelo Departamento de Português da Faculdade de Letras, em 20 de abril de 2023. Como parte do evento, realizaram um debate simulado em português sobre o tema “As redes sociais de hoje em dia fazem as pessoas menos activas”. A internet está intimamente ligada às nossas vidas, e o desenvolvimento da internet é inseparável das nossas relações com os outros. Através do debate, os alunos puderam entender as posições e perspectivas de ambos os lados, o que os ajudou a pensar em diferentes ângulos.

A Equipa de Debate em Língua Portuguesa da UM tem sido uma participante activa em vários eventos de língua e cultura portuguesa. Usando a língua como o fio de ligação, a equipa promove o debate em português para todos os alunos e professores. Ao mesmo tempo, as diferentes propostas debatidas são altamente relevantes para a vida diária e os assuntos atuais dos alunos, o que ajuda a significar o significado subjacente por trás de cada tópico de debate.
