UMSU Archery Association – Archery (Recurve Bow) Basic Course & 24-25 Novice Match
Dear Students and Staff:
The long-awaited archery beginner class is here!
Each class is limited to 12 participants and will be personally guided by certified professional instructors, allowing you to quickly master archery skills over four sessions. Each session includes two hours of professional teaching and practice time, and you can also take advantage of additional practice during our member hours! The top four students in each class will have the opportunity to participate in the 24/25 academic year’s novice competition, going head-to-head with other competitors for a chance to win prizes!

– Certified USA Archery Association Instructor (美國射箭協會認證導師)

– UM Archery Range (near W32)
Date & Time
– Class A: 8, 15, 22, 23 Feb; Sat & Sun (10:00-12:00);
– Class B: 8, 15, 22, 23 Feb; Sat & Sun (18:00-20:00);
– Class C: 8, 15, 22, 23 Feb; Sat & Sun (20:00-22:00);
– Class D: 17, 21, 24, 28 Feb; Mon & Fri (19:00-21:00).

Admission Method
– If the number of applicants exceeds 48, admission, will be determined by a lucky draw. Payment must be completed by 26 Jan so as to confirm your registration.
Dress code
– Proper sportswear and sports shoes
Course Certificate
– Students who complete all four classes will receive a basic course certificate issued by the UMSUAA.
Internal Competition
– The final class will feature a ranking competition of 72 arrows, where the top four students with the highest scores will receive medals and qualify for the novice competition.
Novice Competition (新手賽)
– The novice competition will be held on a weekend in March, consisting of a ranking competition of 72 arrows and a one-on-one elimination round. The top four performing students will receive medals and cash prizes, with further details to be announced in the competition wechat group.
*Successful registration forms will be via e-mail notification.
*If there are less than 5 applicants in a certain period, the session will be cancelled.
*If the session cannot be carried out as planned due to weather or school notice, the remaining session(s) will be postponed.
*UMSUAA reserves the right to make the final decision on the matters of the event.
