2024 Shanghai Internship Programme for HK and Macau Students 

各位同學：

茲通知上海海外聯誼會將舉辦『2024年港澳青年學生實習計劃』。

詳情如下：

主辦單位：上海海外聯誼會

參加資格：澳門大學在讀非畢業班並且為港澳永久性居民的學生 (本科、碩博均可)

實習時間：2024年6月8日(第一批次)及2024年7月10日(第二批次)
(實習分為不同批次，每批次為期30日至60日不等，實習計劃除崗位實習外、還包括社會考察參訪、座談交流等活動)

報名截止日期：2024年3月10日

名額： 3-5人*

住宿： 住宿及住宿費用由主辦方安排及承擔。 

甄選過程：報名→履歷分析→面試→通知結果*

重要提示：

  1. 為確保申請者完成實習活動，並避免因中途退出為澳大帶來負面影響，如果申請者在澳大向主辦方確認推薦後因個人原因退出實習或未能完成實習計劃，需要繳交1,500 澳門元之行政費。
  2. 同時，未能提供合理理由且未能按時繳交行政費的同學，將不予推薦參加2025及2026年的實習計劃，並可能受到大學有關部門的紀律處分。
  3. 以下三種情況，無需繳交行政費：
    3.1 申請者在選拔過程中未獲澳大推薦給主辦方；
    3.2 主辦方未能根據申請者的志願安排相應的實習崗位；
    3.3 申請者按時完成實習並提交實習報告。

Dear Students,

The Shanghai Overseas Friendship Association will organize the “2024 Internship Program for Hong Kong and Macau  Students“.

Details are as follows:

Organizer: Shanghai Overseas Friendship Association

Eligibility: Students who are non-graduating students of the University of Macau and permanent residents of Hong Kong or Macau (undergraduate or postgraduate students are acceptable)

Internship Date: June 8th, 2024(1st batch) or July 10th, 2024 (2nd batch)
(The programme has different batches with different starting dates, which will last 30 to 60 days and includes visits and seminars, etc.)

Application Deadline: 10 Mar 2023

Quota: 3-5 students*

Accommodation: Accommodation and accommodation expenses will be arranged and borne by the organizer.

Selection process: Registration→Resume Review→Interview→Notification of Result*

*The final result will be decided and notified by the organizer.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

  1. In order to ensure that the applicant completes the internship activities and to avoid negative impacts on UM due to withdrawal, if the applicant withdraws from the internship or fails to complete the internship programme for personal reasons after UM has confirmed the recommendation to the organizer, the applicant is required to pay an administrative fee of MOP1,500.
  2. Also, students, who do not provide a reasonable reasons and do not pay the administrative fee on time, will not be recommended to participate in the 2025 and 2026 internship programmes and may be subject to disciplinary action by the university.
  3. In the following three cases, no administrative fee is required:
    • 3.1 The applicant is not recommended by UM to the organizer during the selection process;
    • 32 The organizer is unable to arrange a placement according to the applicant’s preference;
    • 3.3 The applicant has completed the internship and submitted the internship report on time.

How to set your job hunting timetable

如何制定自己的求職時間表

Finding a suitable job is never easy for new graduates. Job hunting not only depends on your abilities and interests, but also involves the overall situation of the labour market. You should set a reasonable timetable for your job hunting as soon as possible.

  • Pay attention to the industry that you are interested in and keep an eye on its demand for new graduates.
  • Pay attention to the development, working environment and culture of your interested company as early as possible.
  • Try part-time jobs first to get to know more about your preferred industry, company and working style.
  • Set your job hunting goal in advance, and pay attention to the latest recruitment information.
  • Arrange your time properly during the peak season of job hunting, attend as many recruitment talks and recruitment fairs as possible.

對應屆畢業生來說，找到一份自己心儀的工作絕非易事。求職不僅取決於自己的能力和興趣，也牽涉到勞動市場的整體狀況。畢業生應該提早為自己的求職計劃制定一個合理的時間表。

  • 應該留意自己有意從事的行業發展狀況，並留意該行業對畢業生的需求。
  • 盡早關注自己心儀公司的發展狀況、工作環境及公司文化。

Email is a vital communication tool in the modern workplace. How to equip yourself with professional email etiquette? Here are some suggestions that may help you: 

  • Include a Subject Line: Craft a subject line as it forms the first impression. Emails without a subject line may be ignored or marked as spam, impacting their visibility.
  • Highlight Important Details: For important information like time, location, and deadlines, briefly mention them in the subject line. This ensures that the recipient notices important details at a glance.
  • Give Your Email Structure: Make sure your email has a clear beginning and end. Address the recipient at the beginning and sign off at the end for a well-rounded communication.
  • Manage Large Attachments: When sending large attachments, upload them to file hosting sites and share the download link. This will prevent emails from being rejected due to size restrictions in the recipient’s mailbox.

Eligibility
1. Current FBA undergraduate Year 2 and Year 3 students who are enrolled in the following majors:

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting
  • Bachelor of Science in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics
  • Bachelor of Science in Finance
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)- Business Economics
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)- Financial Controllership

2. Good command of the Chinese and English language

3. Legally permitted to work in Mainland China

Job Description of the Internship  Position:

Internship – JD1

Internship – JD2 

Internship Subsidy: CNY7000 per month

Accommodation: Self-arrangement – accommodation meets requirements* will be partly subsidized^

*Requirements for subsidized accommodation:

  • Accommodation must be within reasonable distance of the office where the internship takes place
  • Accommodation must be a hotel that complies with all safety, fire, and lodging-related regulatory regulations

^Rules for subsidization of the accommodation

  • To be subsidized for the accommodation, students must meet the requirements mentioned above and notify the Student Affairs Office for approval beforehand
  • The maximum subsidization is MOP3500 per month per person
  • The maximum subsidization period is two months
  • Students must provide a receipt indicating the accommodation cost to receive the subsidy

Selection Process: Application ⇒ Resume review and selection by SAO ⇒ Interview by SAO and FBA (End of February)⇒ Interview by Tencent ⇒ Confirmation of Internship Position by Tencent

IMPORTANT NOTE:

To ensure that applicants complete their internship activities and to avoid any negative impact on UM, if the applicant withdraws from the internship due to personal reasons after UM has confirmed the recommendation to the organizer, or if the applicant fails to complete the internship program at the end, the applicant will be required to pay an administrative fee of  MOP 1,500. At the same time, if those who withdraw do not provide reasonable reasons and do not pay the administrative fees on time, they will not be recommended to participate in the internship program in 2024 and 2025. They may also be subject to disciplinary action by the University.

There is no need to pay administrative fees in the following three situations:

1. UM did not recommend the applicant during the selection process
2. The internship provider does not select the applicant
3. The applicant completes the internship and submits an internship report on time

Utilize Your Holiday for Career Planning

利用假期做好自己的職業規劃

The traditional holiday season is a great time to do some critical career planning. Whether you are a freshmen or a year 4 student, you will likely to have some time off to reflect on your past and make plans for the future.

  • Reflect on your accomplishments. Accomplishments in your personal life are crucial. Do any of these experiences sound appealing to potential employers? If so, figure out how they could be used to your advantage for job-hunting.
  • Evaluate new skills and certifications. What new skills have you acquired in the past year? Have you obtained or renewed any certification? Update your resume to reflect these new skills and certifications.
  • Make a list of your career development goals. Establish a action plan that works for you, so that can are fully prepared for job hunting and personal development.

傳統假節是進行職業規劃的大好時機。無論你是上學期才剛開始大學生活的新生，亦或你是即將畢業的大四學生，你都有時間來回顧一下自己過往的經歷並規劃自己的未來。
