澳大舉辦第十三屆《全球化背景下之澳門法律改革》國際研討會

澳門大學法學院法律研究中心舉辦第十三屆《全球化背景下之澳門法律改革》國際研討會，來自安哥拉、巴西、莫桑比克、葡萄牙、中國內地、香港及澳門的多位專家學者、企業代表及師生參與，重點關注後疫情時代全球治理中所產生的各類法律問題。

澳大法學院院長唐曉晴致開幕辭表示，後疫情時代需要反思並深入分析法學範式，這不僅是對法律和實踐的重新評估，也是面對當代新興挑戰時的勇敢重塑。澳大法學院作為澳門高等教育的重要支柱，始終致力追求卓越、正義和創新。唐曉晴感謝中國、葡語系國家和香港法律界持續支持澳大，並期望各界團結一心，共同致力於加強全球法學院之間的合作，這對於建立一個彈性且適應性強的法學界至關重要。法學界堅定的步伐與中央政府的指導方針同步，朝著一個充滿希望和公正的未來邁進。

澳門官樂怡基金會主席官樂怡表示，法學界需要深入了解疫情對司法系統和法律應用的影響，以及思考在未來面臨類似危機時，該如何做出改進。法學界亦需要觀察疫情對人權、保護弱勢群體、隱私權、獲取正義的途徑以及對社會上不同關鍵領域的影響。澳大法學院副院長邱庭彪則表示，一眾專家學者在研討會上分享了不同國家和地區在疫情管理和法律改革方面的經驗，學習不同的成功案例，並對未來的合作提出了建設性的建議。這些成果將為澳門以及其他國家和地區的法律改革提供重要的參考和指導。

會議以“COVID-19疫情間及疫情後的問題與答案”為主題，出席活動的專家學者依次圍繞“法律體系如何反應＂、“健康、安全與基本權利＂、“公共財政＂、“私法經濟關係＂、“合作、競爭與國際法＂及“行政與司法系統＂方面的議題發表演講，分享了其關注到的最新法律問題和研究成果，活動的全體參與者就相關話題展開討論。

出席活動的還有澳大副校長馬許願、澳門律師公會理事會主席黃顯輝、銀河娛樂集團代表、金沙中國有限公司代表等。

UM holds Thirteenth International Conference on the Legal Reforms of Macao in the Global Context

The Center for Law Studies of the University of Macau (UM) held the Thirteenth International Conference on the Legal Reforms of Macao in the Global Context. Gathering experts, scholars, business representatives, faculty and students from Angola, Brazil, Mozambique, Portugal, mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao, the conference centred on legal issues in the global context during and beyond the COVID-19 pandemic. Tong Io Cheng, dean of the Faculty of Law, said in his opening remarks that it is important to reflect on and deeply analyse legal paradigms. He expressed hope that cooperation among law schools around the world will be strengthened. Rui Cunha, chairman of the Rui Cunha Foundation, said that the legal profession needs to have a deep understanding of the impact of the pandemic on the judicial system and the application of the law, and think about how to make improvements when facing similar crises in the future. ‘How legal system reacted’, ‘health, security, and fundamental rights’, and ‘public finances’ were among the topics discussed at the conference.

Universidade de Macau Organiza Conferência Internacional sobre Reforma Jurídica

O Centro de Estudos Jurídicos da Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Macau organizou a 13ª Conferência Internacional sobre “As Reformas Jurídicas de Macau no Contexto Global”, contando com a participação de vários especialistas, representantes empresariais, docentes e estudantes de Angola, Brasil, Moçambique, Portugal, Interior da China, Hong Kong e Macau, para discutir os vários problemas legais emergentes na governança global no contexto pós-pandémico.

O Director da Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Macau, Tong Io Cheng, no discurso de abertura, manifestou que a era pós-pandemia exige uma reflexão e uma análise profunda do paradigma jurídico. Isto não é apenas uma reavaliação do direito e da prática, mas também uma reestruturação corajosa face aos novos desafios contemporâneos. Enquanto importante pilar do ensino superior de Macau, a Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Macau sempre se empenhou na busca da excelência, justiça e inovação. Tong Io Cheng também agradeceu o contínuo apoio da comunidade jurídica do Interior da China, dos países de língua portuguesa e de Hong Kong à Universidade de Macau, esperando uma união de esforços de todas as partes para fortalecer a cooperação entre faculdades de direito a nível global.

O Presidente da Fundação Rui Cunha, Rui Cunha, mencionou que a comunidade jurídica precisa de compreender profundamente o impacto da pandemia no sistema judicial e na aplicação das leis, assim como reflectir sobre como melhorar perante crises semelhantes no futuro. É também necessário observar o impacto da pandemia nos direitos humanos, proteção de grupos vulneráveis, privacidade, acesso à justiça e nas diferentes áreas-chave da sociedade. O Subdirector da Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Macau, Iau Teng Pio, indicou que os especialistas partilharam experiências de diferentes países e regiões em gestão de pandemia e reforma jurídica na conferência, aprendendo com vários casos de sucesso e apresentando sugestões construtivas para futuras cooperações. Estes resultados proporcionarão referências e orientações importantes para a reforma jurídica de Macau e de outras regiões e países.

O tema da conferência foi “Perguntas e Respostas durante e após a Pandemia de COVID-19”, onde os especialistas abordaram questões relacionadas com “como os sistemas jurídicos reagiram”, “saúde, segurança e direitos fundamentais”, “finanças públicas”, “relações económicas privadas”, “cooperação, concorrência e direito internacional” e “administração e sistema de justiça”. Eles partilharam as suas preocupações mais recentes e resultados de pesquisas, e discutiram esses tópicos com os participantes.

Entre os presentes estavam o vice-Reitor da Universidade de Macau, Rui Martins, o Presidente da Direcção da Associação dos Advogados de Macau, Vong Hin Fai, representantes do Grupo de Entretenimento Galaxy, representantes da Sands China Ltd, entre outros.

澳大辦大灣區中藥創新轉化研討會

 

為推進藥品監管體系和監管能力現代化，促進粵港澳中醫藥產業發展，澳門大學澳門轉化醫學創新研究院主辦“2023粵港澳大灣區中藥創新轉化與高質量發展閉門研討會暨廣東省呼吸與健康學會戰略合作簽約儀式”，粵港澳三地藥監系統的領導、全國各地相關學者、教授、企業代表出席活動。

研討會主題為 “創新轉化與科學監管”，由廣東省呼吸與健康學會、中華中醫藥學會中藥產業發展與科學監管高端智庫、粵港澳中醫藥政策與技術研究中心承辦，廣州呼吸健康研究院、粵澳合作中醫藥科技產業園及生物島實驗室協辦。廣州呼吸健康研究院副院長、研究院指導委員會委員楊子峰主持開幕式；會議主席、中國工程院院士、廣州實驗室主任、研究院指導委員會主席鍾南山院士，廣東省中醫藥局局長徐慶鋒，廣東省藥品監督管理局副局長王玲等發表致辭。會上，廣東省呼吸與健康學會與清遠市佛岡縣簽署了戰略合作協議。

澳大澳門轉化醫學創新研究院代副院長趙永華主持發佈了《澳門特別行政區中藥監管科學研究項目藍皮書》。該藍皮書是在鍾南山指導下，在澳門特區科學技術發展基金、經濟及科技發展局、藥物監督管理局等單位支持下，由研究院、中華中醫藥學會中藥產業發展與科學監管高端智庫、粵港澳中醫藥政策與技術研究中心共同編著而成。藍皮書從澳門中醫藥發展的機遇和挑戰、中藥監管戰略與產業發展、國內外植物藥及中醫藥出海現狀板塊分別進行了論述，對中藥監管戰略和中藥創新藥研發的角度提出了相關建議，並初步構建了藥品審評相關管理制度。藍皮書的發佈為後續澳門中藥監管科學體系的完善奠定了一定基礎，對中醫藥產業的高質量發展提供了重要參考和啟示，為推動澳門乃至大灣區中醫藥科技創新和產業升級注入了新動力。

在學術研討環節，香港中文大學中醫藥學院教授林志秀先以《香港中成藥註冊制度解讀》為題發表專題學術報告，對香港地區中藥註冊法規進行了詳細的解讀；中國中醫藥科技發展中心、國家中醫局人才中心主任胡鏡清則以“中藥監管科學戰略研究”為題發表學術報告。在案例分享環節，石家莊以嶺藥業股份有限公司院長賈振華以“ 口服藥在澳門註冊後到內地轉化渠道探討”為題，就澳門正在推進的1.1類新藥註冊研究進行了大會交流；廣州醫科大學、廣州白雲山和記黃埔中藥有限公司聯合培養的博士後嚴曾豪則以“複方板藍根顆粒改良開發及轉化”等項目作為實際落地案例分享，並討論了澳門中藥創新轉化的最新進展。

此外，澳大教授王一濤主持發佈了“大灣區中醫藥高質量發展會議共識”，呼籲以澳門先行先試打造粵港澳大灣區一體化中藥市場，實現粵港澳三地監管互認和市場准入互認等。中國醫學科學院藥用植物研究所研究員孫曉波主持了專家討論環節，與會的領導、專家、企業代表圍繞中藥如何“創新轉化與科學監管”積極建言獻策，並對“大灣區中醫藥高質量發展會議共識”給予高度評價，與會者對未來的中藥創新轉化以及粵港澳大灣區藥物監管互通充滿信心。

鍾南山對會議進行總結時指，中藥傳承發展需要研究者、監管方、企業界共同努力，中成藥審評審批採用中醫理論、人用經驗、臨床試驗三方面結合的審評證據體系，在質量可控的前提下，利用高質量的循證證據證明中藥的安全性，其有效性自然會被國際認可。鍾南山也對中藥審評審批改革及一系列出台的新規表示充分肯定，並期待中醫藥創新能走出一條更快、更符合中國特色的道路。

UM holds seminar on innovation and commercialisation of Chinese medicine in GBA

 

The Macau Institute for Translational Medicine and Innovation at the University of Macau (UM) held a closed-door seminar on innovation, commercialisation, and high-quality development of Chinese medicine in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), as well as a signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation between the Guangdong Respiratory and Health Association and Fogang County of Qingyuan City. The event aimed to promote the modernisation of the drug regulatory system and regulatory capacity, and to facilitate the development of the Chinese medicine industry in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. Officials from the drug regulatory authorities of the three places, as well as scholars, professors, and company representatives from all over the country attended the event.

Zhong Nanshan, chair of the seminar, member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and president of the Steering Committee of the Macau Institute for Translational Medicine and Innovation; Xu Qingfeng, director of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Bureau of Guangdong Province; Wang Ling, deputy director of the Drug Administration of Guangdong Province, delivered a speech at the seminar respectively. In addition, Zhao Yonghua, interim associate head of the Macau Institute for Translational Medicine and Innovation, announced the publication of the Blue Book of Research Projects on the Regulatory Science of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the Macao SAR. The symposium also included an academic discussion session, a sharing session, and a panel discussion, where participants delivered academic presentations, shared their experiences, and exchanged views.

澳大舉辦“魯迅文學與漢語文化學術研討會”

澳大舉行魯迅研討會及《呐喊》百年展　

“但見奔星勁有聲——紀念《呐喊》出版百周年展覽開幕式暨魯迅文學與漢語文化學術研討會”在澳門大學舉行。眾多學者、師生齊聚一堂，共同品味文學巨匠魯迅的名作，並從漢語文化的角度對魯迅文學進行了深度的探討。展覽由即日起至12月20日於澳大圖書館舉行，歡迎有興趣人士參觀。

是次活動由北京魯迅博物館（北京新文化運動紀念館）與澳門大學主辦，澳大圖書館、澳大中國歷史文化中心、澳大南國人文研究中心共同承辦。中央人民政府駐澳門特別行政區聯絡辦公室研究室副主任黃智虎致辭時表示，在國家的支援下，澳門正在加快“一中心、一平台、一基地”建設，這次在澳大舉辦“紀念《呐喊》出版百周年展覽”，使澳門觀眾可以目睹魯迅的珍貴手跡，近距離感受民族魂的家國情懷和文學創造力，這對於澳門的人文建設、學術研究、思想交流等均具有積極的推動作用。

北京魯迅博物館（北京新文化運動紀念館）副館長姜異新表示，在《呐喊》中，對於時代與歷史、對於國民性與人性，魯迅均以拷問靈魂的深度，給出了獨特的文學思考，達到了世界的高度，產生了深遠的影響。是次活動能夠在澳門這個中西文化交融的前沿地帶舉辦，別具意義。

澳大中國歷史文化中心主任朱壽桐指出，《狂人日記》是中國第一部現代白話小說，開啟了真正的白話書面語寫作，魯迅對於塑造中國人的靈魂起到了重要作用。通過展示《呐喊》誕生全過程的文獻以及深入的學術研討，可以使人們更好地掌握魯迅現代漢語寫作之於中華文化的重要意義。展覽開幕後，北京魯迅博物館（北京新文化運動紀念館）研究室副主任秦素銀為現場觀眾介紹展覽內容。

在“魯迅文學與漢語文化學術研討會”上，姜異新和北京魯迅博物館（北京新文化運動紀念館）研究員劉靜發表演講，題目分別為《從“吶喊”到<吶喊>：論“破惡聲”之魯迅文學的發生”》和《<吶喊．自序>中的“金心異”》。在研討環節，澳大博士生各抒己見，發表觀點新穎、精彩紛呈的發言。最後朱壽桐總結表示，魯迅研究既是“顯學”，也是“險學”，澳大青年學子須苦練內功，勇涉“險”灘，在問學之路上像魯迅那樣攀登不止。

參與活動的代表還有澳大圖書館館長吳建中，紹邦書院代院長譚錫忠，霍英東珍禧書院副院長蔣怡，人文學院助理院長張月，中國語言文學系講座教授張健、副教授王思豪及劉鴻勇，中國歷史文化中心副主任鄭寧人，孔子學院副主任陳忠，歷史系榮休教授魏楚雄，圖書館助理館長梁德海，中國歷史文化中心兼職講師劉景松等。

UM holds symposium on Lu Xun and exhibition to commemorate 100th anniversary of The Scream

Jointly organised by Beijing Lu Xun Museum and the University of Macau (UM), the exhibition commemorating the 100th anniversary of the publication of The Scream, a short story collection by Chinese literary giant Lu Xun, was opened at UM. The Lu Xun Literature and Chinese Culture Academic Symposium was also held concurrently. The symposium brought together scholars, faculty, and students to appreciate the masterpieces of Lu Xun and to explore his works in depth from the perspective of Chinese language and culture. The exhibition will run until 20 December in the UM library. Interested individuals are welcome to visit.

Huang Zhihu, deputy director-general of the Research Office of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR, said in his speech that the exhibition enables the Macao public to appreciate Lu Xun’s manuscripts, which can promote academic research and exchange of ideas in Macao. Jiang Yixin, deputy director of Beijing Lu Xun Museum, said that Lu Xun offered unique reflections on the times and history, as well as on national identity and humanity in The Scream. Zhu Shoutong, director of UM’s Centre for Chinese History and Culture, pointed out that the exhibition will give the public a better understanding of the significance of Lu Xun’s modern Chinese writing in Chinese culture. During the discussion session of the symposium, UM’s doctoral students also shared their insights into Lu Xun and his works.

澳大邀荷蘭環境工程專家談水行業創新

澳門大學今（6）日舉行“大學講壇＂講座，由荷蘭著名環境工程專家、代爾夫特理工大學應用科學學院環境生物技術系講座教授馬克．梵．洛斯德萊特以“好奇心驅動的研究是新型資源回收工藝的基礎”為題發表演說，從水資源管理、水處理技術革新、基礎研究、專業人才培養等方面對環境工程領域的問題進行了探討。

澳大科技學院副院長、土木及環境工程系系主任周萬歡致辭時表示，水處理在推動前沿科學發展上扮演著至關重要的角色，它不僅關係到日常生活和環境的健康，也在應對氣候變化和水資源管理方面發揮了關鍵作用。因此，水處理不僅僅是一項技術，更是一個跨學科的研究領域，為前沿科學的不斷進展和社會的可持續發展提供了堅實的基礎。

講座上，洛斯德萊特指創新對於發展綠色和可持續循環社會，以及完全一體化的水行業來說至關重要。可是這種創新進展緩慢，部分原因在於水行業本身，其基本結構和設計約三千年來一直未變。為了激發水行業的創新，他認為需要促進由好奇心驅動的、嵌入工程背景的科學研究。洛斯德萊特稱，在水資源領域得到創新，科學和工程才能發揮著關鍵作用。然而，創新只有在不同方法的時間動態中得到尊重，在有效溝通的情況下才能實現。

問答及交流環節由澳大科技學院土木及環境工程系助理教授郝天偉主持；講者與參加者交流互動，討論氣氛熱烈。

Dutch environmental engineering expert gives talk on innovation in water sector at UM

The University of Macau (UM) held a talk titled ‘Curiosity Driven Research as Foundation for New Resource Recovery Processes’ as part of the University Lecture Series today (6 November). Mark van Loosdrecht, a renowned Dutch environmental engineering expert, professor and chair of the Department of Environmental Biotechnology in the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, was the speaker. During the talk, he discussed environmental engineering issues from the perspectives of water resources management, technological innovation in water treatment, basic research, and the training of professionals.

Speaking at the event, Zhou Wanhuan, associate dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology and head of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, said that water treatment plays a crucial role in developing cutting-edge science. It is not only related to our daily lives and environmental health but also plays a key role in addressing climate change and managing water resources. Therefore, water treatment is not just a technology but also an interdisciplinary field of research that provides a solid foundation for the continuous development of cutting-edge science and the sustainable development of society.

During the talk, Prof Van Loosdrecht pointed out that innovation is essential to the development of a green and sustainable society and a fully integrated water sector. However, innovation has been slow, partly due to the water sector itself, whose basic structure and design have remained unchanged for some 3,000 years. To stimulate innovation in the water sector, it is necessary to promote curiosity-driven research embedded in an engineering context. According to Prof Van Loosdrecht, science and engineering are the key to innovation in the field of water resources. However, innovation can only be achieved when different approaches are respected and effective communication is maintained over time.

The Q&A and discussion session was moderated by Hao Tianwei, assistant professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Prof Van Loosdrecht actively discussed and exchanged ideas with the participants.

澳大邀劍橋教授談低碳建築

澳門大學將於11月9日（星期四）舉辦“大學講壇”，劍橋大學克萊爾堂書院院長、劍橋大學榮譽建築學教授艾倫．肖特將以“大陸性氣候中的低碳建築”為題發表演說，探討全球暖化下的可持續建築發展，並將分享相關先進技術。歡迎有興趣人士參加。

肖特是英國著名建築師和學者，專注於可持續建築的設計，並屢獲殊榮。2007年，憑藉“暖化環境設計”項目獲得英國皇家建築師學會會長“傑出專業研究”大獎，2009年以國民保健署建築抗禦能力的研究獲得英國皇家建築師學會會長“傑出大學”研究獎。肖特與中國的關係密切，獲教育部優秀教授稱號，擔任浙江大學客席教授，也是重慶大學國家級低碳綠色建築國際聯合研究中心國際聯合主任。

講座上，肖特將探討可持續建築在全球暖化環境下所扮演的角色，並介紹因應全球不同氣候帶所探取的先進建築技術，例如引入被動式向下通風製冷（PDC）方案等。

UM invites Cambridge professor to give talk on low-carbon buildings

As part of the University Lecture Series, the University of Macau (UM) will hold a talk titled ‘Low-Carbon Buildings in Continental Climates’ on Thursday 9 November. C. Alan Short, president of Clare Hall, Cambridge, and the professor of architecture emeritus at the University of Cambridge, will be the speaker. During the talk, he will discuss the role of sustainable buildings in the context of global warming and present advanced building technologies that have been adopted in different climate zones around the world, such as the introduction of Passive Downdraught Cooling (PDC). All are welcome to join the talk.

澳門大學澳門研究中心舉辦 “生命無處不在：有關科學、大學、研究中心、博物館、科學素養等的一些想法”講座，由世界著名的葡萄牙生物學學家Nuno Ferrand de Almeida教授主講，分享他對生物多樣性的看法。

Almeida在講座中以歐洲兔子為例子介紹物種的形成、轉化和馴化的概念，以宿主——寄生蟲的關係闡述兩者在長期競爭生存中的共同進化。他以上述例子說明，現時人類在基因生物學上的最新發展、使用這些技術時的倫理限制、公眾認同對其的重要性等。Almeida指出，現時相關研究機構的聯繫集中在北半球的幾個重要國家或地區上，並未形成世界性的網絡連結，他期望大學、研究中心等機構在相關領域能夠不斷發展和溝通，共同提高全球社會的科學素養。此外，他認為在社會生活中，藝術和科學交融的生活環境及方式可促進人們對生物學等科學的興趣和理解，有助科學走進人群。

Almeida是葡萄牙波爾圖大學演化和保育生物學教授、生物多樣性及遺傳資源研究中心主任，目前正承擔葡萄牙最大的環境生物學、生態系統和生物多樣性研究項目——BIOPOLIS。此外，他今年獲得法國總統頒授法國榮譽軍團勳章，以表揚其在生物學研究和發展的重要貢獻。

出席講座的嘉賓還有澳大副校長馬許願、法學院副教授Paulo Canelas de Castro、澳門研究中心主任林玉鳳、北京師範大學——香港浸會大學聯合國際學院助理教授梁志文，以及澳大一眾師生。在互動環節，與會者與Almeida就研究物種的收集和許可、轉基因技術的公眾反應、藝術和科學交融的生活方式等不同議題進行交流討論。

UM invites Portuguese biologist to share insights into biodiversity

The Centre for Macau Studies (CMS) of the University of Macau (UM) held a seminar titled ‘Life Everywhere: A Few Ideas About Science, Universities, Research Centres, Museums, Scientific Literacy, and Some Others’, with Prof. Nuno Ferrand de Almeida, a world-renowned biologist in Portugal, as the speaker. During the seminar, Almeida shared his insights into biodiversity.

Almeida used the European rabbit as an example to introduce the concepts of speciation, transformation, and domestication. In addition, he explained the coevolution of hosts and parasites through their long-term competitive relationship for survival. With these examples, he explained the most recent developments in genetics achieved by humans, the ethical constraints in the application of relevant technologies, as well as the importance of public recognition to the development of genetics. Almeida pointed out that, at present, there is a lack of connectivity among relevant research institutes worldwide, with only a limited number of significant countries or regions in the Northern Hemisphere establishing connections. He expressed hope that universities and research centres will continue to develop and communicate in related fields so as to jointly enhance the scientific literacy of the global society. Furthermore, he believed that a living environment or a lifestyle where art and science are intertwined can increase people’s interest in and understanding of science, such as biology, and help bring science closer to people.

Almeida is a biologist and professor of evolutionary and conservation biology at the University of Porto in Portugal and director of CIBIO (Research Center in Biodiversity and Genetic Resources). He is currently undertaking BIOPOLIS, the largest Portuguese project in environmental biology, ecosystems, and biodiversity. Almeida was awarded the Légion d’Honneur by the French President in recognition of his significant contribution to biological research and development.

The seminar was attended by Rui Martins, vice rector of UM; Paulo Canelas de Castro, associate professor in the Faculty of Law; Agnes Lam Iok Fong, director of the CMS; Leong Chi Man, assistant professor at Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College; as well as UM students and faculty. During the interactive session, the attendees exchanged views on various topics, such as the collection of research species and the relevant permission, the public response to genetic modification technology, and lifestyles where art and science converge.

Académico famoso partilha ideias sobre biologia num seminário

O Centro de Estudos de Macau (CMS) da Universidade de Macau (UM) realizou, no dia 1 de novembro de 2023, um seminário intitulado “A VIDA EM TODO O LADO: algumas ideias sobre ciência, universidades, centros de investigação, museus, alfabetização científica e outras”, cujo orador foi o Prof. Nuno Ferrand de Almeida. O Prof. Almeida é um biólogo de renome mundial e professor de Biologia Evolutiva e da Conservação na Universidade do Porto, Portugal, e foi galardoado com a Légion d’Honneur pelo Presidente francês em 2023.

Durante o seminário, o Prof. Almeida usou o coelho europeu como exemplo para introduzir os conceitos de formação, transformação e domesticação das espécies. Além disso, utilizou a relação hospedeiro-parasita para explanar a coevolução dos dois na sua sobrevivência competitiva a longo prazo. Com os exemplos acima referidos, mostrou os mais recentes desenvolvimentos em biologia genómica alcançados pelos seres humanos, os limites éticos na aplicação de tecnologias relevantes e a importância do seu reconhecimento público. O Prof. Almeida salientou que a ligação entre os institutos de investigação relevantes está atualmente concentrada em alguns países ou regiões importantes do hemisfério norte e que não existe uma rede mundial. Por isso, esperou que as universidades, os centros de investigação e outras organizações continuassem a desenvolver-se e a comunicar entre si nos domínios relevantes e a trabalhar em conjunto para melhorar a alfabetização científica da sociedade global. Para além disso, na sua opinião, na vida social, um ambiente e um estilo de vida em que a arte e a ciência estejam interligadas pode promover o interesse e a compreensão da ciência, incluindo a biologia, e ajudar a levar a ciência até às pessoas.

O seminário contou com a presença de Rui Paulo da Silva Martins, Vice-Reitor da Universidade de Macau, e Danny Leong Chi Man, professor assistente da Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College, bem como académicos, investigadores e estudantes relevantes, etc. Durante a sessão interactiva, trocaram pontos de vista sobre vários temas, tais como a recolha de espécies de investigação e a sua autorização, a resposta do público à tecnologia de modificação genética e os estilos de vida em que se encontram a arte e a ciência, etc.

澳門大學將於11月7日（星期二）舉辦“大學講壇”，加州大學歐文分校卓越教學講席教授理查德．舍恩將以“幾何是一門奇點的學科”為題發表演說，探討當前微分幾何領域當中大部分研究與數學家所稱的奇點。歡迎有興趣人士參加。

理查德．舍恩是世界頂尖的數學家，他的專業領域是微分幾何和廣義相對論的數學理論，是美國國家科學院院士、美國科學促進會會士、美國數學會會士。舍恩在學術界享有崇高地位，屢獲殊榮，如美國數學會波赫獎、古根海姆獎、沃爾夫數學獎等。

舍恩認為微分幾何領域的研究與數學家所稱的奇點有著密不可分的關係，這些奇點涵蓋了最優網路中的角和廣義相對論中的黑洞。講座上，他將解釋奇點的概念，並探討它們在一些具體實例中的形態，這將為廣大聽眾揭示奇點的神秘性質，引領大眾進入微分幾何領域的精彩世界。

UM invites US mathematician to give talk on singularities in geometry

As part of the University Lecture Series, the University of Macau (UM) will hold a talk titled ‘Geometry Is a Singular Subject’ on Tuesday 7 November. Richard Schoen, Excellence in Teaching Chair at the University of California at Irvine, will be the speaker. During the talk, he will discuss the close relation between singularities and a great deal of current research in differential geometry, which ranges from corners which arise in optimal networks to black holes in general relativity. He will also explain in a non-technical way what a singularity is and present some examples. All are welcome to join the talk.

澳大卓越教學獎得主楊曦談教學理念演變

澳門大學今（1）日舉行“澳門大學卓越教學獎＂講座，由2022／2023學年得獎者、工商管理學院綜合度假村及旅遊管理學系助理教授楊曦以“從產品管理到體驗管理：教學理念演變之旅＂為題發表演講，分享在教育環境轉變和數碼化時代影響下其教學理念的演變歷程，以及其個人教學經驗。

澳大副校長許敬文致辭時表示，澳大一向重視優質教學及學生的學習體驗，因此特設年度性的“澳門大學卓越教學獎＂，以鼓勵及表彰在教學方面表現傑出的教學人員。2022／2023學年得獎者楊曦分別在北京大學及香港科技大學獲得學士及博士學位，於2019年加入澳大，在工商管理學院綜合度假村及旅遊管理學系擔任助理教授。其研究領域涵蓋旅遊及款客服務業的多個重要主題，包括從業人員心理、體驗管理、目的地品牌等。

講座上，楊曦分享其教學理念的演變過程，從早期著重課程內容設計的產品導向模式，到加入服務管理元素，根據學生需求優化課程內容和教學方法，最終形成體驗式的導向方法。體驗管理是從服務業借鑒的一個關鍵概念，旨在通過感官、情感、象徵、身體、關係及感知體驗這六個維度，來培養沉浸式的持久教育經驗。通過產品、服務和體驗管理在教學中的有機結合，為學生傳授全面知識的同時培養其學習主導權。楊曦在課堂上引入多元化的新嘗試及手法，以加強學生不同維度的真實體驗。她舉例說曾進行由學生設計的微型個案研究及競賽、讓學生在課堂上闡述營商理念、情境處理、盲盒經濟、實地考察、校友分享、嘗試不同的挑戰及考驗等。她預計在不久未來，教學將輔以元宇宙、人工智能等先進教學科技，以強化教學績效和學生的學習體驗。

問答及交流環節由澳大工商管理學院綜合度假村及旅遊管理學系系主任苗莉主持；講者和與會者積極交流互動，討論氣氛熱烈。

UM Teaching Excellence Award recipient gives talk on evolution of teaching philosophy

The University of Macau (UM) held the UM Teaching Excellence Award Seminar today (1 November). Fiona Yang Xi, assistant professor in the Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism Management of the Faculty of Business Administration and the recipient of the UM Teaching Excellence Award for the 2022/2023 academic year, gave a talk titled ‘From Product Management to Experience Management: The Evolution of My Teaching Philosophy’.

In his speech, Vice Rector Michael Hui said that UM attaches great importance to its teaching quality and student learning experience. The Teaching Excellence Award is presented annually to a faculty member who demonstrates outstanding teaching performance. During the talk, Prof Yang shared her insights into the evolution of her teaching philosophy, which is shaped by the dynamic shifts in the educational landscape and the influence of the current digital era. She summarised her teaching philosophy as ‘experience management’, a key concept originating from the service industry, and shared how she enhances teaching quality and student learning experience through various innovative teaching approaches. Prof Yang also actively engaged with the audience during the Q&A and discussion session.

黑龍江省委常委徐建國訪問澳大

黑龍江省委常委、統戰部部長徐建國率代表團訪問澳門大學，雙方就黑、澳兩地高校合作交換意見。徐建國對澳大近年取得的科研成果表示肯定。

代表團一行在澳大副校長徐建、校長辦公室主任汪淇、策略及規劃辦公室主任柳智毅等陪同下參觀了大學展館和澳大圖書館。其後，代表團還參觀了中華醫藥研究院，在該院副院長李鵬介紹下了解研究院的發展沿革，以及澳大在中醫藥領域的科研成果。

徐建國對澳大近年取得的科研成果表示肯定，並期望澳大與黑龍江省高校加強合作，培養更多優秀人才，為中國建設教育強國作出貢獻。

A delegation led by Xu Jianguo, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Heilongjiang Provincial Committee and head of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Heilongjiang Provincial Committee, visited the University of Macau (UM). Both parties exchanged views on the cooperation between higher education institutions in Heilongjiang and Macao. Accompanied by UM Vice Rector Xu Jian and other representatives, the delegation visited the University Gallery and UM library. They also visited the Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences to learn about its developments and the university’s research achievements in Chinese medicine. Xu Jianguo recognised UM’s research achievements in recent years and expressed hope that UM and higher education institutions in Heilongjiang province will strengthen their cooperation to nurture more outstanding talent.

澳門大學將於11月6日（星期一）舉辦“大學講壇”，荷蘭代爾夫特理工大學應用科學學院環境生物技術系講座教授馬克．梵．洛斯德萊特將以“好奇心驅動的研究是新型資源回收工藝的基礎”為題發表演說，探討如何激發水行業及資源回收的創新。歡迎有興趣人士參加。

洛斯德萊特是環境工程專家，主要從事生物膜污水處理技術和工藝、營養物去除，以及微生物胞內聚合物在生態學領域的作用研究，其研究成果已廣泛應用在不同系統上。洛斯德萊特在學術界享有崇高地位，屢獲殊榮。他是荷蘭皇家藝術與科學院院士、荷蘭工程院院士、美國國家工程院外籍院士，以及中國工程院外籍院士。他曾榮獲水資源及處理領域最高榮譽之一的“李光耀水資源獎”及“斯德哥爾摩水資源獎”。

洛斯德萊特認為要激發行業創新，需要助力更多以好奇心推動的、嵌入工程背景的科學研究，這方面科學和工程學將發揮積極作用。講座上，他將以“好奇心驅動的研究是新型資源回收工藝的基礎”為題，探討發展綠色和可持續循環社會，以及完全一體化水行業的創新。

UM invites Dutch environmental engineering expert to give talk on innovation in water sector

The University of Macau (UM) will hold a talk titled ‘Curiosity Driven Research as Foundation for New Resource Recovery Processes’ on Monday 6 November, as part of its University Lecture Series. Mark van Loosdrecht, professor and chair of the Department of Environmental Biotechnology in the Faculty of Applied Sciences at the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, will be the speaker. During the talk, he will discuss how to stimulate innovation in the water sector and resource recovery by promoting curiosity-driven scientific research in an engineering context. All are welcome to join.
