跨學科協同創新研究國際研討會於澳大舉行

為促進跨學科的合作與學術交流,澳門大學協同創新研究院主辦“第二屆跨學科協同創新研究國際研討會”,29場演講匯聚數據科學、神經科學和腦科學領域的多位中外知名學者探討相關領域,參加人數超過300人。

澳大副校長葛偉致辭時介紹協同創新研究院的創立宗旨及其在學術界的重要性。為期兩天的研討會由南京尖創科技有限公司及百靈生物科技澳門有限公司贊助,並設兩個分會,包括“第二屆澳門數據科學研討會”及“第五屆澳門認知與腦科學研討會”。

“第二屆澳門數據科學研討會”共設三場主題演講、六場嘉賓演講及兩場行業講座。討論的主題包括大數據分析與處理、數據探勘與管理、法律方面的數據科學、人工智能在醫療保健中的應用,以及各種機器學習演算法和技術。在主題演講,新加坡南洋理工大學副教授Sourav S. Bhowmick討論了其對於通過數據驅動的方法管理利益衝突的見解,並強調了從社會技術數據系統研究到實際影響的轉變;上海外國語大學教授洪化清探討了大數據學習分析在促進教育轉型的關鍵作用,重點關注實證教學法及其在教學與學習中增強決策能力的潛力;香港城市大學教授李彥志介紹了將商業領域智識整合到離線強化學習從而增強個性化推薦系統的研究。

“第五屆澳門認知與腦科學研討會”包括4場主題演講和14場嘉賓演講,涵蓋多個主題,包括與成癮和決策相關的認知神經科學、語言與認知、兒童發展與認知老化、視知覺、神經影像學,以及精神和神經疾病。主題演講上,中國科學院生物物理研究所學術副所長何生討論了人體大腦中反饋處理方面的研究;中國科學院自動化研究所腦網絡組研究中心主任蔣田仔分享了基於腦網絡鏈接的大腦圖譜創建,介紹了研究的背景及其在理解認知機制和診斷大腦疾病中的應用;香港大學教授李湄珍從行為和神經影響的證據指出孤獨是對老年人福祉的重大威脅;香港中文大學教授黃俊文分享了從神經數據預測語言發展,以及怎樣從假設檢驗到模型泛化。

研討會還設有海報展示環節,包括35張海報展示。為鼓勵青年學者参與,海報評選委員會選出最佳海報,其中一等獎的兩名得獎者分别為澳大工商管理學院博士生孫英浩及科學學院博士生楊毅。

出席活動的嘉賓包括澳門科學技術發展基金項目成果轉化及輔助部高級經理謝偉明,華為澳門分公司高級專家何文靜、客戶總監王苑竹,澳門聖若瑟大學數據工程與科學學院院長杜文才,澳大協同創新研究院代院長須成忠、協同創新研究院副院長及認知與腦科學研究中心主任袁振、數據科學研究中心主任余亮豪等。

澳大協同創新研究院致力於促進澳門、粵港澳大灣區及海內外高校的跨學科研究,培養創新型人才,並營造有利於“創新思維,創新能力、創新產業”的環境,推動產學研合作。是次研討會正是協同創新研究院實現其宗旨的努力之一,吸引了來自學術界、政府及社會的專家,共同探討數據科學、認知神經科學和腦科學的最新趨勢和挑戰,促進學者之間的互動與交流。

International Symposium on Interdisciplinary and Collaborative Innovation Research held at UM

To promote interdisciplinary collaboration and academic exchange, the Institute of Collaborative Innovation (ICI) of the University of Macau (UM) organised the 2nd International Symposium on Interdisciplinary and Collaborative Innovation Research. The symposium featured 29 presentations by renowned scholars from China and abroad in the fields of data science, neuroscience and brain science, and was attended by over 300 participants.

In his opening remarks, UM Vice Rector Ge Wei highlighted the mission of ICI and its importance in the academic community. The two-day symposium, sponsored by Nanjing Jianchuang Technology Company Limited and Lingbio Biotechnology Macau Company Limited, included two sessions: the 2nd Macau Symposium on Data Science and the 5th Macau Symposium on Cognitive and Brain Sciences.

The 2nd Macau Symposium on Data Science featured 3 keynote presentations, 6 invited talks, and 2 industrial talks. Topics discussed included big data analytics and processing, data mining and management, legal issues in data science, applications of artificial intelligence in healthcare, and various machine learning algorithms and techniques. Among the keynote speakers: Sourav S. Bhowmick, associate professor at Nanyang Technological University, shared his insights on managing conflicts of interest through data-driven approaches, highlighting the shift from socio-technical data systems research to practical applications; Hong Huaqing, professor at Shanghai International Studies University, explored the pivotal role of big data learning analytics in driving meaningful educational transformation, focusing on evidence-based pedagogy and its potential to improve decision-making in teaching and learning; Li Yanzhi, professor at City University of Hong Kong, presented his research on integrating business knowledge into offline reinforcement learning to enhance personalised recommendation systems.

The 5th Macau Symposium on Cognitive and Brain Sciences featured 4 keynote presentations and 14 invited talks, covering a range of topics including cognitive neuroscience related to addiction and decision-making, language and cognition, child development and cognitive aging, visual perception, neuroimaging, and psychiatric and neurological disorders. Among the keynote speakers: He Sheng, academic deputy director of the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, discussed his research on feedback processing in the human brain; Jiang Tianzi, director of the Brainnetome Center of the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, talked about brain mapping based on the Brainnetome Atlas, its research background and applications in understanding cognitive mechanisms and diagnosing brain diseases; Tatia Lee Mei Chun, professor at the University of Hong Kong, shared her studies on loneliness as a significant threat to the well-being of older adults from behavioural and neural perspectives; Patrick Wong Chun Man, professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, discussed how to predict language development from neural data, and how hypothesis testing leads to model generalisation.

The symposium also included a poster session, where 35 posters were displayed. To encourage the participation of young scholars, the poster evaluation committee selected the best posters and presented 2 first prizes, 5 second prizes, 5 third prizes, and 8 merit awards. Notably, both first prizes went to UM students—Sun Yinghao, a doctoral student from the Faculty of Business Administration, and Yang Yi, a doctoral student from the Faculty of Science and Technology.

The event was attended by Che Wai Meng, senior manager of the Project Transformation and Support Department of the Science and Technology Development Fund of Macao; Steven He, senior expert of Huawei Macau branch; Zoey Wang, account director of Huawei Macau branch; George Du Wencai, dean of the Institute for Data Engineering and Science at the University of Saint Joseph, Macao; and UM members—Xu Cheng-Zhong, interim director of ICI; Yuan Zhen, associate director of ICI and head of the Centre for Cognitive and Brain Sciences; and Ryan U Leong Hou, head of the Centre for Data Science.

The Institute of Collaborative Innovation (ICI) is dedicated to promoting interdisciplinary research among higher education institutions in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and beyond, cultivating innovative talent, creating an environment conducive to innovative thinking, innovative capabilities and innovative industries, and fostering industry-academia collaboration. The symposium exemplified ICI’s efforts to achieve its objectives. The event brought together experts from academia, government, and society to discuss the latest trends and challenges in data science, cognitive neuroscience, and brain science, and facilitated discussion and exchange among scholars.

澳大呂志和書院與清華為先書院締結姊妹書院

澳門大學呂志和書院與清華大學為先書院簽署教育合作備忘錄,標誌著兩書院正式締結為姊妹書院。雙方將加強聯繫,促進師生交流和緊密合作,共同推動高等教育事業的發展。

澳大呂志和書院院長藍志雄於拜訪清華大學期間,與清華為先書院院長洪波簽署備忘錄,為兩院建立姊妹書院關係。在與為先書院師生們的座談交流中,兩位院長介紹各自書院的文化及特色,為先書院師生對呂志和書院的學生活動及書院氣氛甚感興趣。洪波表示,日後將帶領院生到訪澳大呂志和書院,為兩院學生交流互動創造更多機會。

為先書院取名自清華校歌“器識為先,文藝其從”。適逢該書院舉辦年度師生學術活動、第三屆“器識為先”從游節,藍志雄獲邀出席與百名師生齊聚一堂,聽取學生分享學習經驗及研究成果。

締結姊妹書院為澳大與清華的戰略合作項目之一,兩校還將全面推動在人才培養、學術科研、圖書館等領域的深入合作,共同推動粵港澳大灣區的高等教育和科研發展,攜手向建設中國特色世界一流大學的目標共同邁進。

UM Lui Che Woo College, Tsinghua Weixian College become sister colleges

Desmond Lam Chee Shiong, college master of Lui Che Woo College (LCWC) of the University of Macau (UM), visited Weixian College of Tsinghua University. During the visit, Lam and Hong Bo, dean of Weixian College, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on educational cooperation, marking the establishment of the sister college relationship between the two colleges. The two colleges will strengthen their ties, promote student and faculty exchanges, and foster the development of higher education.

During the event, the two college masters introduced the culture and features of their respective colleges. Lam also engaged in discussions with students and faculty from Weixian College, who expressed great interest in the student activities and atmosphere of LCWC. Hong looked forward to leading Weixian students on a visit to LCWC and creating more opportunities for exchange between the students of the two colleges. In addition, Lam was invited to attend an academic event organised by Weixian College, where Weixian students shared their learning experiences and research achievements.

中國政法大學、甘肅政法大學代表團訪澳大

中國政法大學校長馬懷德及甘肅政法大學校長鄭高鍵今(6)日分別率團到訪澳門大學,獲澳大校長宋永華的熱情接待。澳大分別與兩校代表團深入討論了法學發展、人才培養、交叉學科等方面的合作,促進發展友好合作關係。

宋永華向兩校代表團介紹了澳大的歷史沿革和發展概況,並表示澳大秉持“立足澳門,共建灣區,融入國家,走向世界”的發展定位,助力澳門經濟適度多元及可持續發展,並積極參與粵港澳大灣區建設,致力為國家和澳門培養具有家國情懷、國際視野、全球競爭力和世界擔當的人才。他期望與兩所內地政法大學在法學、人才培養、交叉學科等方面深化合作,共同創造更具影響力的科研成果。

兩校代表團亦到訪了澳大法學院,了解其發展歷史、學科佈局及科研成果,他們對澳大的發展表示高度讚賞;此外,代表團還出席了在澳大舉行的“內地與港澳法學教育聯盟第五屆理事會”。

中國政法大學代表團成員還有港澳台事務辦公室主任、國際教育學院院長李居遷,校友辦公室主任李歡,法學院副院長姚國建,港澳台事務辦公室外事服務中心主任周佳磊;甘肅政法大學代表團成員還有國際合作與交流處處長草珺和司法警察學院副院長秦冠英。澳大法學院院長唐曉晴、全球事務總監王春明、法學院澳門法學系系主任李哲等亦參與了接待。

Delegations from CUPL and GSUPL visit UM

Two delegations, led respectively by Ma Huaide, president of China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), and Zheng Gaojian, president of Gansu University of Political Science and Law (GSUPL), visited the University of Macau (UM) today (6 December) and were warmly received by UM Rector Yonghua Song. The discussions between UM and the two delegations focused on deepening cooperation in legal studies, talent cultivation and interdisciplinary collaboration, promoting close partnerships.

Rector Song gave the two delegations an overview of UM’s history and development, and highlighted UM’s active role in supporting the economic diversification and sustainable development of Macao and the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. He added that the university is committed to cultivating talent with patriotism, a global mindset, international competitiveness, and global citizenship. Rector Song also expressed hope that UM will deepen cooperation with CUPL and GSUPL and produce high-impact research results.

The two delegations also visited the Faculty of Law, where they learned about UM’s history, development, academic structure and research achievements, and spoke highly of the university’s developments. They also attended the fifth plenary session of the Mainland China-Hong Kong-Macao Legal Education Alliance, which was held at UM.

澳大展出百多件“澳門故事”明清檔案

“風起濠鏡——明清檔案中的澳門故事”展覽今(5)日在澳門大學伍宜孫圖書館展覽廳揭幕,展出超過100件明清時期與澳門相關的珍貴檔案文獻,包括題本、奏摺、輿圖,以及葡萄牙、荷蘭、英國等歐洲多國使團來華過程所形成的國書、表文、信件、行紀報告,吸引一眾澳大師生及社會各界人士到場參觀,感受澳門獨特的歷史和文化魅力。

揭幕儀式由澳大校長宋永華、中央人民政府駐澳門特別行政區聯絡辦公室宣傳文化部副部長白冰、澳大副校長馬許願、中國第一歷史檔案館館長王鴻運、上海圖書館管委會主席楊春花、葡萄牙阿儒達圖書館館長Cristina Pinto Basto、澳門特別行政區政府文化局文化遺產廳代廳長蘇建明、澳門特別行政區政府教育及青年發展局素質保證處處長岑曉東及澳大圖書館館長吳建中主禮。

宋永華致辭時表示,是次展覽得益於中國第一歷史檔案館的大力支持,展品中絕大部分都是該館的珍藏,許多是第一次展示在公眾面前。展覽同時也是中國第一歷史檔案館、澳大和葡萄牙阿儒達圖書館等多方合作的成果,是中葡文獻機構資源共享與合作的一次典範,體現了澳大在中葡文化交流與合作中有着重要的位置。展覽有助於加深澳大師生以及社會各界對澳門深厚歷史底蘊和文化內涵的認識,加強澳門居民對祖國的歷史與文化身份認同。他又指,澳大願意作為學術平台,貫徹國家賦予澳門作為與葡語國家及地區交流合作平台的定位,促進各方學術研究與人文交流,助力澳門在新時期繼續發揮中西文化交流橋樑的重要作用。

王鴻運表示,是次展覽精選百件宮藏檔案文獻,講述明清時期的澳門故事,在澳門作為溝通東西方文化經貿往來樞紐的歷史圖景之中,敘述明清時期中央政府與澳門的關係。他希望通過展覽能更好發揮歷史檔案文獻在傳播中華優秀傳統文化、展示新時代中國形象中的價值,同時增進澳門居民的地方文化認同、國家認同、中華文明認同,推進國際人文交流合作。Cristina Pinto Basto表示,是次活動很好地展現了中葡機構之間的知識共享與合作,以及追求進步的價值。

是次展覽由澳大與中國第一歷史檔案館主辦,澳大圖書館、葡萄牙阿儒達圖書館、上海圖書館、澳大人文學院藝術與設計系、澳大澳門研究中心協辦,展現了近500年來中國與世界互動視野下的澳門故事,回顧澳門從一個濱海邊陲,逐漸發展成為中國參與全球海洋貿易、進行文化交流的重要樞紐的歷史變遷。

展覽位於澳大伍宜孫圖書館(E2)地面層展覽廳,開放時間為上午10時至下午7時,展期至2025年3月31日,公眾假期照常開放(農曆新年初一至初三除外)。展覽免費入場。

此外,同場亦舉行中葡歷史文獻論壇,由中葡雙方的重要文獻收藏機構代表與學者進行對話,共商中葡歷史文獻資源的合作與研究。

UM exhibits over 100 archives related to Macao from Ming and Qing Dynasties

The exhibition ‘Winds of Confluence: The Story of Macao in the Historical Archives of the Ming and Qing Dynasties’ opened today (5 December) at the Exhibition Hall of the University of Macau (UM) Wu Yee Sun Library. Organised by UM and the First Historical Archives of China (FHAC), the exhibition features over 100 archival documents related to Macao from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. These include memorials to the throne, maps, as well as letters of credence brought by diplomatic missions from European countries such as Portugal, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom during their visits to China. The exhibition attracted many UM students and faculty, as well as members of the public.

In his speech at the opening ceremony, UM Rector Yonghua Song thanked FHAC for their strong support. He noted that most of the exhibits are collections from FHAC, many of which are being shown to the public for the first time. The exhibition is the result of cooperation between UM, FHAC, and Ajuda Library in Portugal, and a demonstration of resource sharing and cooperation between Chinese and Portuguese archival institutions. He added that UM is committed to serving as a platform for promoting academic research and cultural exchange with Portuguese-speaking countries and regions.

Wang Hongyun, director of FHAC, expressed hope that the exhibition will help promote Chinese culture and show the image of China in the new era, while enhancing the cultural identity and national identity of Macao residents and fostering international cultural exchanges and cooperation. Cristina Pinto Basto, director of the Ajuda Library, said that the exhibition demonstrates knowledge sharing and cooperation between Chinese and Portuguese institutions.

The exhibition is currently held in the Exhibition Hall on the ground floor of the UM Wu Yee Sun Library (E2). It is open from 10:00am to 7:00pm until 31 March 2025, including public holidays (except for the first three days of the Chinese New Year). Admission is free. 

In addition, the Sino-Portuguese Historical Documents Forum was held concurrently, where representatives and scholars from archival institutions in China and Portugal discussed cooperation and research on Sino-Portuguese historical document resources.

中國工程院院士於澳大談綠色低碳科技創新

澳門大學今(4)日舉辦“大學講壇”,由中國工程院院士高翔以“科教融合推動綠色低碳科技創新”為題發表演講,探討綠色低碳科技研究範式和人才培養模式。

澳大校長宋永華致辭時表示,高翔是浙江工業大學校長、浙江大學碳中和研究院院長和白馬湖實驗室主任,亦是英國工程技術學會會士、中國電機工程學會會士和中國環境科學學會會士。高翔長期從事能源與環境領域的基礎理論、關鍵技術及工程應用研究,在清潔能源、碳污減排、資源循環等方面取得系列創新成果,是內地能源工程領域的學術帶頭人。宋永華感謝高翔的到來,為澳大師生提供難得的學習機會,也促進了兩校的交流合作。

講座上,高翔提到綠色轉型是全球應對氣候變化和實現可持續發展的關鍵路徑。大學作為教育、科技和人才的交匯點,通過科教融合,能夠有組織地培養人才和推動科技創新,這對促進新質生產力發展和綠色轉型具有重要意義。高翔闡述推動能源電力結構低碳轉型、促進重點用能行業的綠色發展、加快交通行業清潔低碳轉型等相關案例,為在場人士帶來啟發。

問答及交流環節由澳大校長宋永華主持,高翔與參與者交流互動,討論氣氛熱烈。

CAE academician gives talk on green and low-carbon science and technology innovation at UM

The University of Macau (UM) held a talk titled ‘Integration between Science and Education to Promote Green and Low-Carbon Science and Technology Innovation’ today (4 December) as part of the University Lecture Series. Gao Xiang, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and president of Zhejiang University of Technology (ZJUT), was the speaker.

In his speech, UM Rector Yonghua Song introduced Prof Gao and highlighted his influence in the field of energy engineering, including his extensive research in energy and environment, and his research achievements in clean energy, carbon emission reduction, and resource recycling. He also thanked Prof Gao for giving a talk at UM, which provided a learning opportunity for the students and faculty and promoted exchange and cooperation between UM and ZJUT.

During the talk, Prof Gao mentioned that green transformation is an important way to address global climate change and achieve sustainable development, and that universities play a significant role in this process by cultivating talent and driving technological innovation through integrating teaching and research. He also gave examples of promoting the low-carbon transformation of the energy structure, advancing green development of energy-intensive industries, and accelerating the green and low-carbon transformation of the transport sector. In addition, Prof Gao engaged with the audience in the Q&A and discussion sessions moderated by Rector Song.

澳大辦大學體驗日讓中學生感受校園生活

澳門大學健康科學學院與何鴻燊東亞書院聯合舉辦“大學體驗日”,讓澳門利瑪竇中學的30位中四學生到澳大親身感受校園生活,了解大學的學習環境與氛圍。

活動期間,學生參加由澳大健康科學學院副教授周昶行主講的“為甚麼成功人士都運動?”科學講座。周昶行深入淺出地講解了運動對健康的重要性,以科學角度解釋運動能有效提升記憶力的機制和原理,並引用多項研究證明運動對於提升認知能力和學習效率具有顯著效果。講座內容生動有趣,引發學生的熱烈討論。周昶行還向學生介紹了澳大概況、學院的教學課程、科研成果、聯合培養課程、交流機會等資訊。

UM holds University Experience Day for local secondary school students

The Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) and Stanley Ho East Asia College (SHEAC) of the University of Macau (UM) jointly organised a ‘University Experience Day’ for 30 Form 4 students from Colégio Mateus Ricci in Macao. The event gave the students an insight into campus life at UM and the learning environment and atmosphere of the university.

The students first attended a science talk titled ‘Why Do Successful People Exercise?’ given by FHS Associate Professor William Chao Chong Hang. Prof Chao highlighted the importance of exercise for health, and explained the mechanisms and principles by which exercise effectively improves memory from a scientific perspective. He cited some studies that demonstrate the significant effects of exercise on improving cognitive abilities and learning efficiency. The engaging content of the talk sparked lively discussions among the students. Prof Chao also gave an overview of UM, as well as the academic programmes, research achievements, joint programmes, and exchange opportunities of FHS.

The students, led by FHS Assistant Professor Wakam Chang, then visited several laboratories and gained an in-depth understanding of the research environment and state-of-the-art research facilities at UM. They also observed the daily work of researchers and gained a clearer understanding of the university’s research activities.

The event also included a visit to SHEAC, where the students, accompanied by College Master Kathy Luo Qian and Resident Fellow Chan U Wai, learned about the college’s facilities and accommodation. The students expressed their appreciation of the diverse student activities, comfortable living environment, and comprehensive amenities of the college. Additionally, SHEAC arranged for the students to have lunch with UM undergraduates, during which they discussed topics such as course selection and learning experiences.

Vice Principal of Colégio Mateus Ricci, Wu Weng Ian, who led the students to UM, said that the visit not only gave the students a clearer understanding of university life but also increased their enthusiasm and motivation for future studies. The science talk, visits to laboratories and the college, and interactions with UM students increased the students’ interest in university life and provided guidance on their future studies.

澳大出席絲綢之路大學聯盟校長論壇

澳門大學副校長許敬文應邀出席“2024絲綢之路大學聯盟校長論壇暨常務理事會”,與西安交通大學、哈爾濱工業大學、香港理工大學、意大利米蘭理工大學、哈薩克斯坦法拉比哈薩克國立大學、巴基斯坦國立科技大學、土耳其薩班哲大學、塞爾維亞諾維薩德大學等高校的校長、副校長及代表,共探絲綢之路的全球參與策略。

許敬文發表演說時指出,高等教育不僅可以培養建設“一帶一路"所需要的專業人才,“一帶一路"中的民心相通更可以促進國家、區域之間的了解與互信。作為高等教育的領導者,應攜手促進“一帶一路"高等教育發展、為人才培養等提供更多合作機會。

是次論壇由絲綢之路大學聯盟輪值主席香港理工大學主辦,以“絲綢之路全球參與策略”為主題,匯聚聯盟成員,分享支持“一帶一路"倡議的真知灼見,並探討資源整合以促進教育發展及人才培養,為推動“一帶一路"沿線國家高等教育發展提供合作機會。參與論壇的澳大成員還有全球事務總監王春明。

絲綢之路大學聯盟由西安交通大學和香港理工大學於2015年聯合創建,是海內外大學結成的非政府、非營利性的開放性、國際化高等教育合作平台。聯盟致力推動高等教育開放合作、宣導多元文化交流互鑒,推進校際交流、人才培養、科研合作、文化溝通、政策研究、醫療服務等方面的交流合作。聯盟已有38個國家和地區合共160多所大學加入成為一員,並開展了多元交流合作。

UM vice rector attends University Alliance of the Silk Road Presidents’ Forum

Michael Hui, vice rector of the University of Macau (UM), was invited to attend the University Alliance of the Silk Road Presidents’ Forum cum Executive Council Meeting. The event brought together presidents, vice presidents, and representatives of higher education institutions such as Xi’an Jiaotong University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Politecnico di Milano in Italy, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Kazakhstan, National University of Sciences & Technology in Pakistan, Sabancı University in the Republic of Türkiye, and the University of Novi Sad in Serbia to discuss global engagement strategies for the Silk Road.

In his speech, Hui highlighted that higher education not only cultivates the professional talent needed for the Belt and Road Initiative but also fosters mutual understanding and trust among countries and regions along the Belt and Road. He added that leaders in higher education should work together to promote the development of higher education along the Belt and Road, and provide more opportunities for cooperation in talent cultivation. Wang Chunming, director of the Global Affairs Office of UM, also attended the forum.

澳大澳門研究中心舉辦澳門研究年會

澳門大學澳門研究中心與澳門基金會合辦“第四屆澳門研究年會(2024)”。今屆年會的主題為“全球中國與全球亞洲中的澳門”,匯聚澳門和世界各地的學者共同探討澳門在全球化過程中扮演的角色,為澳門和世界各地的學者提供共同探討相關議題的平台。

澳大副校長葛偉表示,2024年是中華人民共和國成立75周年及澳門特別行政區成立25周年,也是中國與葡萄牙建交45周年。澳門與葡萄牙有著深厚的聯繫,並在16世紀成為東西方交流的先驅,在世界文化和經濟交流的十字路口上有著獨特的地位。澳門位於珠江三角洲口岸的戰略位置,也加強了其作為國際貿易和跨文化對話門戶的角色,使其成為探討全球中國拓展策略和全球亞洲互聯互通的焦點。他期待是次年會推進與會者對澳門在全球中國和全球亞洲中戰略地位的理解。

澳門基金會行政委員會主席吳志良表示,澳門一直扮演著中國與外界交流對話的歷史角色,在構建“全球中國”和“全球亞洲”的進程中,澳門最能作出貢獻的是文化上的軟實力。他期待年會有助總結研究及體會,使澳門故事和中國故事的敘事更加圓滿,助力拓展澳門歷史文化的潛能與內涵,助力國際社會更好理解中國的文化、制度和發展,助力國際社會對中國抱持正確、客觀的認識,助力國際社會進一步了解澳門的功能和角色,以及推動其對中國構建人類命運共同體的善意的普遍認同。

澳大澳門研究中心主任林玉鳳表示,澳門研究年會自2019年舉辦至今,為世界各地有志於澳門研究的學者提供學術研究的對話及合作機會。今年的會議主題為“全球中國與全球亞洲中的澳門”,共42位與會者在線上和現場參與,從文化、政治、經濟和歷史等不同角度,探討澳門在亞洲以及中國與全球視野下的角色和功能。為了紀念中葡建交45周年,年會又特別組織了兩個論壇以紀念中葡建交45周年,邀請來自葡萄牙以及巴西等地學者發表論文。

是次年會設有9個子論壇,包括全球中國與葡語國家、跨境合作、政經轉型、區域連結、文化啓蒙等,以線上及線下結合的形式進行。年會邀請了夏威夷大學教授Cathryn Clayton以及新加坡國立大學教授Kah-Wee Lee作主旨演講。Cathryn Clayton就“拆解澳門:全球亞洲的思考”為題,以全球亞洲作為分析方法,分別以聯繫、分解及流動三個層次,從澳門作為家鄉、作為歷史主體、作為符號三個方面探討了澳門的歷史變化,並對澳門和全球之間的相互構成和多元化進行討論;Kah-Wee Lee則以“從比較的角度看千禧年後亞洲的賭業城市主義”為題,以博彩公司提供的免費接駁巴士為切入點,選擇了新加坡、澳門和馬尼拉三個案例進行比較分析,探討了三地博彩業的發展異同與其各自對當地公共交通的影響,思考其背後基於博彩業發展形成的城市發展規劃邏輯。

UM Centre for Macau Studies holds Annual Conference of Macao Studies

The Centre for Macau Studies (CMS) of the University of Macau (UM) and the Macao Foundation jointly held the Fourth Annual Conference of Macao Studies (2024). This year’s conference, themed ‘Macao in Global China and Global Asia’, brought together scholars from Macao and around the world to discuss Macao’s role in the process of globalisation. The event also provided a platform for scholars from Macao and beyond to discuss related topics.

Speaking at the event, Ge Wei, vice rector of UM, said that Macao’s close ties with Portugal and its geographical location at the estuary of the Pearl River Delta further enhance its role in cultural exchange and international trade, making it a focal point for discussing the strategies of ‘Global China’ and the interconnectivity of ‘Global Asia’. He expressed hope that the conference would enhance participants’ understanding of Macao’s strategic position in ‘Global China’ and ‘Global Asia’.

Wu Zhiliang, president of the Administrative Committee of the Macao Foundation, expressed hope that the conference would enhance the international community’s understanding of China’s culture, system, and development, as well as Macao’s role and functions, thus promoting positive recognition of China’s efforts to build a community with a shared future for mankind.

Agnes Lam Iok Fong, director of UM CMS, said that since its inception in 2019, the Annual Conference of Macao Studies has provided a platform for scholars from around the world to engage in academic dialogue and collaboration on Macao studies. This year’s conference allowed participants to explore Macao’s role and functions in the context of China, Asia and beyond from cultural, political, economic, and historical perspectives. In addition, in celebration of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Portugal, the conference featured two special forums where scholars from Portugal and Brazil presented their papers.

The two-day annual conference, which was held in a hybrid format, featured nine panels, covering topics such as ‘Global China’ and the Portuguese-speaking countries, cross-border cooperation, political and economic transformation, regional connectivity, and cultural enlightenment.

澳大原創舞台劇在“金刺蝟大學生戲劇季”獲兩獎

澳門大學學生會戲劇社原創舞台劇作品《留白》在第22屆“金刺蝟大學生戲劇季”暨“校園原創文化精品展演”中獲得“十大優秀劇目”及“評委會特別劇目”兩個獎項。是次獲獎是繼2020年劇目《苦盡甘來》後,澳大學生再次在該戲劇季獲獎。

今屆戲劇季,組委會在全國範圍內收到71所高校共139份報名劇目,其中包括內地多間專業藝術院校。其中,澳大戲劇社劇目《留白》榮獲“評委會特別劇目”及“十大優秀劇目”,成為今屆戲劇節唯一獲獎的澳門高校戲劇社。

澳大學生會戲劇社會長劉詠愉表示,澳大戲劇社將繼續推動青年文化交流活動,讓學生以多元化角度深入探討中華文化,建立文化自信,展演青年活力,提升自身素質,為建設社會未來作準備。明年四月,澳大將主辦“第十屆大灣區大學生戲劇節”,澳大戲劇社將聯同清華大學、香港中文大學、香港中文大學(深圳)等大學戲劇社,在澳大的舞台上共同展演劇目。

《留白》內容講述一個四處遊歷的旅人來到一條貧瘠的村莊,並帶來了一個消息:一名巨額懸紅的殺人犯目前正在被通緝。天價懸紅令這群窮困村民萌生了無窮遐想,人們的每一個抉擇中,“希望”與“絕望”不斷徘徊。《留白》帶領觀眾直面“人”的軟弱,深入探討人性的弱點,以及對人生本質的質問與思考。

第22屆“金刺蝟大學生戲劇季”由北京市文化和旅遊局、北京市文學藝術界聯合會及北京市朝陽區人民政府共同主辦。戲劇季創立於2001年,是全國高校中知名度高、起始時間早、參與面廣的戲劇文化品牌。

UM original play wins two awards at Golden Hedgehog College Theater Festival

The original play Message, produced by the Drama Society of the University of Macau (UM) Students’ Union, won the ‘Top Ten Outstanding Plays’ and the ‘Special Jury Award’ at the 22nd Golden Hedgehog College Theater Festival. This is the second time UM students have won at this theatre festival, following their success in 2020.

This year’s festival received 139 entries from 71 higher education institutions nationwide, including several art schools from the mainland. Notably, the UM Drama Society’s play was the only winning entry from Macao. The play tells the story of a traveller who arrives in a poor village with news of a wanted murderer with a large bounty on his head, and the subsequent reactions of the villagers. It explores the weakness of human nature and raises questions about the nature of life. In April next year, UM will host the 10th Greater Bay Area Drama Festival for College Students, where the UM Drama Society will perform the play with drama societies from Tsinghua University, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen).

澳大舉辦全球學術研討會促國際合作

為促進全球學術交流,深化國際合作夥伴關係,澳門大學今(2)日舉辦全球學術研討會,來自澳洲、新西蘭、新加坡、韓國、日本23所院校的50多位學者共聚澳大,分享研究成果及前沿技術發展,並探討開展聯合科研項目。

澳大校長宋永華致辭時表示,澳大積極拓展國際合作,致力培養具國際視野的優秀人才,並持續推動各學科領域的研究合作。近年,澳大代表團先後參訪澳洲、新西蘭、新加坡、韓國和日本的多所大學和研究機構,研討會作為外訪的延續活動,為知識和技術交流提供了重要平台,促進合作並探索更多深入的合作項目。

研討會為期兩天,分為四個分論壇,涵蓋工商管理、工程、計算機科學、數學、材料科學、藥學及監管科學等領域,分別於澳大工商管理學院、科技學院、應用物理及材料工程研究院和中華醫藥研究院舉行。與會者參加多場研討會、參觀澳大的科研設備、並與相關領域的澳大教研人員及研究生互動交流。

其中,澳大工商管理學院分論壇邀請來自澳洲、新加坡及韓國的知名學者,分別就金融學、商業經濟學、管理學與市場學進行演講,特設“計量經濟學與應用”、“資產定價與公司金融”、“消費者行為與市場營銷策略”及“組織行為與人力資源管理”四個主題深入討論,與師生探討及剖析前沿研究議題。

澳大科技學院分論壇以“思想交匯:全球視野下的科學技術”為主題,匯聚澳洲、新西蘭和新加坡的頂尖科學家、工程師和技術專家,聚焦結構力學、再生能源電力、偏微分方程、非飽和土力學、機器學習、計算智能等前沿領域,與參會者探討及剖析不同科技領域議題。

澳大應用物理及材料工程研究院分論壇聚焦於“應用物理及材料工程”主題,匯聚澳洲、新加坡及日本的知名學者,與該院的教授同台交流。與會者通過前沿技術的演講和深入的討論,探討納米技術、新材料開發、光電光學以及新能源材料等多個領域的最新發展。

澳大中華醫藥研究院分論壇以“傳統醫藥、藥物科學及監管科學”為主題,來自澳洲、新西蘭、新加坡、韓國、日本的多位生物醫藥領域專家應邀出席。分論壇共舉行了15個主題演講,涵蓋免疫治療靶標、腫瘤診斷、中醫藥國際化的挑戰及機遇、創新藥物發現、疾病發病機制與治療、藥物專利與臨床數據發掘及分析技術等研究領域。

研討會不僅為學術界提供了一個交流的平台,也為未來的合作奠定了基礎。澳大將繼續推動全球學術界的共同發展,拓展全球影響力,致力成為國際學術界的重要參與者,為解決當前全球面臨的挑戰貢獻智慧與力量。

UM holds Global Academic Symposium to promote international cooperation

The UM Global Academic Symposium commenced today (2 December) at the University of Macau (UM). With the aim of promoting global academic exchange and strengthening international partnerships, the symposium has brought together over 50 scholars from 23 institutions across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, and Japan to share their research findings and advances in cutting-edge technologies, and to explore potential research collaboration.

In his opening remarks, UM Rector Yonghua Song highlighted the university’s proactive approach to expanding international cooperation, its commitment to nurturing talent with a global perspective, and its ongoing efforts to promote research collaboration across various disciplines. In recent years, UM delegations have visited a multitude of universities and research institutes in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, and Japan. The symposium, serving as a continuation of these visits, has provided an important platform to foster knowledge and technology exchange, cooperation, and collaborative projects.

The two-day symposium consists of four parallel sessions covering fields including business administration, engineering, computer science, mathematics, materials science, pharmacology, and regulatory science, hosted by UM’s Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), Institute of Applied Physics and Materials Engineering (IAPME), and Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences (ICMS). Participants will also engage with UM faculty, researchers, and postgraduate students in related fields through discussions, meetings, and lab tours.

The parallel session hosted by FBA featured renowned scholars from Australia, Singapore, and South Korea who spoke on finance, business economics, management, and marketing. Focusing on ‘Econometrics and Applications’, ‘Asset Pricing and Corporate Finance’, ‘Consumer Behaviour and Marketing Strategies’, and ‘Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management’, the speakers discussed and analysed cutting-edge research topics with UM students and faculty.

FST’s parallel session, themed ‘Connecting Ideas—Global Perspectives in Science and Technology’, brought together leading scientists, engineers, and technical experts from Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. The speakers focused on advanced fields such as structural mechanics, renewable energy power, partial differential equations, unsaturated soil mechanics, machine learning, and computational intelligence, offering participants the opportunity to discuss and analyse various technological issues.

The parallel session hosted by IAPME centred on ‘Applied Physics and Materials Engineering’, where distinguished scholars from Australia, Singapore, and Japan exchanged views with IAPME professors. Through presentations and in-depth discussions, participants explored the latest developments in nanotechnology, new materials development, optoelectronics, and new energy materials.

ICMS’s parallel session, themed ‘Traditional and Integrative Medicine, Pharmaceutical Science, and Regulatory Science’, brought together biomedical experts from Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, and Japan. A total of 15 presentations were given, covering research areas such as immunotherapy targets, cancer diagnosis, challenges and opportunities in the internationalisation of Chinese medicine, innovative drug discovery, disease mechanisms and treatment, pharmaceutical patents, and clinical data discovery and analysis techniques.

The symposium has not only provided a platform for academic exchange but also laid a foundation for future cooperation. UM will continue to promote the mutual development of the global academic community, expand its international influence, and strive to become a major player in the international academic arena and address current global challenges.
