為慶祝澳門回歸祖國二十四周年，澳門大學國旗儀仗隊舉辦升國旗儀式。

12月20日，澳大國旗儀仗隊在澳大蓮花廣場隆重舉行升國旗儀式，以慶祝澳門回歸祖國24周年。8時整，國旗儀仗隊隊員以整齊的方陣，邁著鏗鏘的步伐，護送國旗、區旗和校旗走向升旗台。伴隨著雄壯的中華人民共和國國歌響徹蓮花廣場，國旗、區旗、校旗三面旗幟冉冉升起。現場人員莊嚴肅立向國旗行使注目禮，為特區獻上最真摯的祝福，亦深情表達對偉大祖國的熱愛。

自回歸以來，在中央政府的支持和一國兩制方針的指引下，澳門在政治、經濟、文化和社會等方面取得了顯著進步。澳門特別行政區政府積極推動經濟多元化發展，加強與內地的交流與合作，使得澳門的經濟實力不斷增強。同時，澳門的文化、教育、醫療等公共服務水準也得到了大幅提升，居民生活水準普遍提高。澳門大學也緊貼新時代的發展要求，錨定全球高等教育發展前沿，積極拓展國際合作網絡，大學的辦學水平和學術影響力不斷提升，正朝著成為國際公認的卓越大學一步一步邁進。

回首過去，我們為祖國的強大感到自豪；展望未來，我們對澳門的繁榮充滿信心。在澳門回歸24周年這個特殊的日子裏，我們共同銘記歷史，珍惜當下，為美好的未來努力奮鬥！

In celebration of the 24^th Anniversary of Macao S.A.R. Establishment Day, the UM National Flag Team (NFT) held the Flag Raising Ceremony.

On 20^th December 2023 morning, NFT solemnly held the Flag Raising Ceremony at the Lotus Square of the University to celebrate the Macao S.A.R. Establishment Day. At 8:00 am, NFT members marched in orderly formation with resounding steps, escorting the National Flag, Macao Flag, and the UM Flag towards the Flag Raising platform. Accompanied by the National Anthem echoing through the Lotus Square, the three Flags slowly ascended. Attendees stood solemnly and saluting the National Flag, offering their sincerest blessings to the Special Administrative Region and expressing deep affection for the great Motherland.

Since the Establishment of Macao S.A.R, under the support of the Central Government and the guidance of the principle “one country, two systems”, Macao has made significant progress in politics, economy, culture, and society. The Macao S.A.R. government actively promotes diversified economic development, strengthens exchanges and cooperation with the mainland, continuously enhancing Macao’s economic strength. Additionally, the standards of public services such as culture, education, and healthcare in Macao have greatly improved, raising the living standards of residents. The University of Macau is also closely following the requirements of the new era, anchoring at the forefront of global higher education development, actively expanding its international cooperation network, continuously enhancing the level of education and academic influence, steadily moving towards becoming an internationally recognized outstanding university.

Looking back, NFT takes pride in the powerful Motherland; looking ahead, NFT is confident in Macao’s prosperity. On this special 24^th anniversary of Macao Establishment Day, let us remember history together, cherish the present, and strive for a better future!

Hereby, NFT wishes for Macao, this golden lotus, to bloom even more brilliantly, and for the great Motherland to prosper even more!

12月2日，澳門大學榮譽學位及高等學位頒授典禮升國旗儀式在蓮花廣場隆重舉行。同日下午，澳門大學隆重舉行了2023年榮譽學位及高等學位頒授典禮，向五位傑出人士：蔡昉、梁錦榮、汪正平、佛朗哥馬洛貝爾蒂 (Franco Maloberti) 及王士元頒授澳大榮譽博士學位。此外，逾千名來自11個學院和研究院的應屆博士、碩士和學士後證書/文憑課程的學生，亦獲頒高等學位。他們將從校園奔向五湖四海，奉獻灣區，貢獻國家，造福世界！

迎著明媚的朝陽，國旗儀仗隊升旗方陣唱著《歌唱祖國》行進至蓮花廣場站定，標兵隊列齊步行進至觀禮人群兩側。全體隊員以飽滿的精神狀態，等待升旗儀式的到來。

早上8時整，在口令員的一聲令下，國旗儀仗隊隊員以挺拔的身姿、鏗鏘有力的步伐護送國旗、區旗和校旗走向旗台。伴隨著雄壯的《義勇軍進行曲》，三名擎旗手以最崇高的敬意，將國旗、區旗和校旗拋向藍天。“向國旗——敬禮！”，在口令員洪亮的聲音下，隊員整齊劃一向國旗敬禮。全體師生也面向國旗肅立，行注目禮。冉冉升起的旗幟預示著畢業生們即將展翅高飛，追求自己的夢想和目標。

2023年是全面貫徹落實黨的二十大精神的開局之年，也是《粵港澳大灣區發展規劃綱要》發佈實施四周年。澳大將繼續積極把握機遇，在教育、科研等領域發揮自身優勢，助力實施科教興國戰略，全力支持建設新時代、現代化、國際化的經濟特區。澳大將通過加強與相關產業的合作，培養創新創業人才，推動科技成果轉化，為經濟特區的可持續發展提供智力支持和人才支撐。

在此，澳門大學國旗儀仗隊向所有即將畢業的學子們表示最誠摯的祝賀。祝福所有澳大學子懷揣著夢想和熱情，勇敢地面對未來的挑戰，不斷追求卓越，創造屬於自己的輝煌。

On 2^nd December 2023, the Flag Raising Ceremony for the Conferment of Honorary and Higher Degrees 2023 took place grandly at N6 Lotus Square. In the afternoon of the same day, the University of Macau held the Higher Degrees Conferment 2023, awarding honorary doctoral degrees to 5 distinguished individuals: Prof. Cai Fang, Prof. Leong Kam Weng, Prof. Ching-Ping Wong, Prof. Franco Maloberti, and Prof. William Shiyuan Wang. Additionally, nearly a thousand students from 11 faculties and institutes, pursuing doctoral, master’s, and bachelor’s degree programmes, were awarded higher degrees. They will spread their wings across the world, contribute to the Greater Bay Area, serve the Nation, and benefit the world!

Under the bright morning sun, the UM National Flag Team (NFT) flag-bearing procession, accompanied by the singing of “Ode to Motherland”, marched to Lotus Square, where the NFT members took their positions on either side of the audience. With high spirits, the team eagerly awaited the Flag Raising ceremony.

At 8:00 am, upon the command, the NFT members, standing tall and marching with resounding steps, escorted the National Flag, Regional flag, and University flag towards the flag platform. Accompanied by the majestic National Anthem, three flag bearers, with utmost respect, raised the National Flag, Regional Flag, and the University flag into the sky. “Salute to the National Flag!” resounded the commanding officer’s voice, as the team members saluted in unison. All RC masters and students also faced the National Flag, standing at attention. The rising Flag symbolized that the graduates were about to soar high, pursuing their dreams and goals.

The year 2023 marks the beginning of fully implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the fourth anniversary of the implementation of the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The University of Macau will continue to seize opportunities, leverage its advantages in education and scientific research, support the implementation of the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education, and fully contribute to the construction of a new era, modernized, and international economic zone. Through strengthened cooperation with relevant industries, fostering innovative and entrepreneurial talents, and promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, the University of Macau will provide intellectual and talent support for the sustainable development of the economic zone.

Here, the UM NFT extends its heartfelt congratulations to all graduating students. We wish all University of Macau students to embrace their dreams and passions, bravely face future challenges, relentlessly pursue excellence, and create their own brilliance.

2023年10月21日，澳門大學國旗儀仗隊參加了駐澳軍營交流活動，接受軍營的專業培訓，提升自身專業水準。是次交流活動是國旗儀仗隊建隊以來第十次軍營交流活動，也是旗隊第六屆隊員首次走進軍營接受專業指導，為之後正式的出旗任務打下良好基礎。

在戰士們的帶領下，第六屆隊員參觀了駐澳部隊軍事陳列館及裝甲兵模擬訓練中心，瞭解駐澳部隊的歷史使命和發展歷程，更深刻地理解國防事業的重要性，也身臨其境體驗戰士們的訓練生活。隨後，隊員們參加了國旗、國徽、國歌知識宣講講座，加深了對國家象徵的認識，明確了捍衛國旗尊嚴的決心。

全體儀仗隊隊員一同觀看了軍營的升旗儀式。伴隨著鏗鏘有力的步伐、嘹亮莊嚴的國歌，五星紅旗在澳門氹仔營區冉冉升起。

接下來是訓練環節，教官將國旗儀仗隊隊員根據年資和特崗進行分組，並制定了不同的訓練計劃，分爲國旗手培訓和刀手培訓。在國旗手培訓中，教官帶領隊員們練習了基礎五項動作、隊列齊步行進和正步行進；接著，教官向隊員們示範和講解綁旗、遞旗、升旗、甩旗等動作。擔任刀手崗位的隊員則在教官的指導下進行專門的刀手動作訓練。教官們將自己訓練過程中的心得體會傳授給隊員，隊員們也認真聆聽教官的講解，在掌握動作要領的基礎上不斷提高動作的準確度。

國旗，不僅是國家對澳門恢復行使主權的象徵之一，也成為了連接駐澳門部隊與澳門民衆的特殊紐帶。自2016年以來，解放軍駐澳門部隊已與澳門大中小學聯合開展數次青年學生國旗手培訓和交流活動，培訓了上千名國旗手。澳門大學國旗儀仗隊建隊後，每年儀仗隊隊員們均會前往氹仔軍營接受培訓指導。澳門大學國旗儀仗隊發展至今，離不開駐澳部隊的大力支持與幫助。

是次軍營交流活動提供了一個寶貴的機會，讓國旗儀仗隊隊員們不僅提升儀仗水準，還能夠學習國防知識，增強紀律性和團隊合作意識，磨礪意志品質。隊員們收穫頗豐，表示在日後的訓練中，會始終牢記護衛國旗的使命，繼續打磨自身專業動作，也會將從軍營裏學到的責任意識、紀律意識、奉獻意識融入日常生活中，成爲更優秀、更有擔當的青年。

On 21^st October 2023, the UM National Flag Team (NFT) participated in a military site exchange activity, receiving professional training from the military to enhance their own professional standards. This exchange activity was the 10^th military site exchange since the establishment of NFT and the first time for the sixth batch of new NFT members to enter a military camp for professional guidance, laying a solid foundation for their future flag raising missions.

Under the guidance of the soldiers, the new NFT members visited the military exhibition hall and the Armored Forces Simulation Training Centre of the stationed unit in Macao, gaining an understanding of the historical mission and development process of the People’s Liberation Army Macao Garrison. They gained a deeper appreciation for the importance of national defense and experienced firsthand the training life of the soldiers. Subsequently, the NFT members attended lectures on the knowledge of the National Flag, National Emblem, and National Anthem, deepening their understanding of national symbols and reaffirming their determination to defend the dignity of the National Flag.

The entire NFT members witnessed the Flag Raising Ceremony at the Military Site. Accompanied by resounding footsteps and the solemn National Anthem, the National Flag rose slowly at the Military Site in Taipa.

At the training session, of which the instructors divided NFT members into groups based on their seniority and assigned duties. They developed different training plans for Flag Bearers and Honoring Sword Bearers. In the Flag Bearer training, the instructors led them in practicing the basic five movements, marching in formation, and marching in steps. Later, the instructors demonstrated and explained actions such as tying the Flag, passing the Flag, and raising the Flag. NFT members who were Honoring Sword Bearers received specialized Honoring Sword Bearer training under the guidance of the instructors. The instructors shared their own insights and experiences from their training. The team members listened attentively, and they want to continuously improve the accuracy of their movements based on a solid understanding of the essentials.

The National Flag is not only a symbol of the restoration of sovereignty over Macao by the Country, but also a special bond connecting the People’s Liberation Army Macao Garrison and the people in Macao. Since 2016, the People’s Liberation Army stationed in Macao has conducted several training and exchange activities for student Flag bearers in collaboration with primary schools, secondary schools, and universities in Macao, training thousands of Flag bearers. Since the establishment of UM NFT, the team members have been receiving training and guidance at the Military Site Taipa every year. The development of the UM NFT would not have been successful without the strong support and assistance from the People’s Liberation Army Macao Garrison.

In conclusion, this military site exchange activity provided a valuable opportunity for NFT members to not only improve their ceremonial skills but also learn about knowledge of national defense, enhance discipline, and foster a sense of teamwork, as well as cultivate qualities of perseverance. The team members had gained fruitful experiences and expressed their commitment to uphold the mission of guarding the National Flag, continuously refining their professional movements. They also pledged to integrate the sense of responsibility, discipline, and dedication they learned from the military site training into their daily lives as to grow up into more outstanding and responsible young individuals.

五穀飄香慶盛世，華夏大地盡歡歌。2023年10月1日，澳門大學國旗儀仗隊於澳大蓮花廣場隆重舉行升國旗儀式，熱烈慶祝中華人民共和國誕辰74周年。澳門大學的老師和學子齊聚觀禮現場，手持國旗，見證五星紅旗迎風升起，為祖國的生日送上真摯的祝福。

澳大國旗儀仗隊的升旗方陣，唱著雄渾有力的歌曲《祖國不會忘記》，從澳大行政樓齊步行進出場，以昂揚的狀態迎接即將到來的升旗儀式。8點整，隨著鏗鏘有力的口令聲，澳門大學國旗儀仗隊的隊員們氣宇軒昂，邁著堅定有力的步伐護送國旗、區旗和校旗到升旗台。伴隨著國歌響起，旗手振臂一揮，三面旗幟迎著清風冉冉升起。在場所有觀禮人員莊嚴肅立，懷著對祖國誠摯的祝福，向國旗行注目禮。

每年的10月1日國慶日，紀念了中華人民共和國誕生的曲折歷程，提醒人們不要忘記來時的路，同時加深民族自豪感，增強人民的凝聚力。嶄新的2023年送走了三年疫情，國家發展迎來新一輪的機遇和挑戰。粵港澳大灣區逐漸邁入深度合作階段，新的發展篇章等待著有志青年去書寫。澳門大學國旗儀仗隊始終秉承其使命，推廣愛國主義精神，號召更多青年在感受時代變遷的同時，牢記歷史，將自身發展融入社會建設中，為祖國的繁榮昌盛貢獻力量。

The fragrance of grains fills the air in celebration of the prosperous era, and the Chinese land is full of joyous songs. On 1^st October 2023, UM National Flag Team (NFT) held a grand Flag Raising Ceremony at the Lotus Square of the University of Macau to warmly celebrate the 74^th Birthday Anniversary of the People’s Republic of China. RC masters and students gathered at the ceremony site, holding the National Flag, witnessing the five-starred red flag being raised in the wind, and sending sincere blessings for the birthday of our Motherland.

The UM NFT phalanx, singing the song “The Motherland Will Never Forget” powerfully, marched to greet the upcoming Flag Raising Ceremony. At 8a.m. sharp, with the strong and resounding command, NFT members marched with a dignified demeanor, escorting the National Flag, Macao S.A.R. Flag, and UM Flag to the flag-raising platform. Accompanied by the National Anthem, the flag-bearer swung his arm, and the three Flags were raised slowly in the breeze. All attendees stood solemnly, giving the National Flag a salute with sincere blessings to our Motherland.

Every National Day commemorates the tortuous journey of the birth of the People’s Republic of China, reminding people not to forget the path they have come from, while enhancing national pride and cohesion. As the new 2023 bids farewell to three years of pandemic, the country’s development welcomes a new round of opportunities and challenges. The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area gradually enters a stage of deep co-operation, a new development chapter awaits the ambitious youth to write. UM NFT members always adhere to their mission, promoting patriotism, calling on more young people to remember history while feeling the changes of the times, integrating their own development into social construction, and contributing to the prosperity of the Motherland.
