Judiciary Police Holds Seminar on “Fraud Prevention” for UM Staff

In view of the recent upward trend of fraud cases in Macao, and to enhance the awareness of UM staff members on the threat that this may bring, a seminar on “Fraud Prevention” was held on 8 March 2023 (Wednesday), and we have invited two criminal investigators from the Judiciary Police, Mr. HONG Kam Fat and Mr. TANG Wai Wa, to serve as guest speakers. The seminar was very well received. Nearly 100 colleagues participated.

During the seminar, speakers from the Judiciary Police presented the recent increase of fraud cases in Macao, the new and common types of fraud (e.g., scam calls, Internet fraud), the tips and strategies for fraud prevention, the promotion work of the Safe School Network, as well as the technique in handling of fraud cases (e.g., reports from students). 

The University hopes that this seminar can enhance UM staff’s understanding on various types of fraud, and to increase their awareness on fraud prevention and skills in handling fraud cases.

鑑於近期本澳詐騙個案有上升趨勢，為增強澳大教職員對相關問題的關注，大學於2023年3月8日（星期三）舉辦了一場「提防詐騙」專題講座，邀請司法警察局之代表洪錦發偵查員及鄧偉華偵查員擔任主講嘉賓。是次講座的反應熱烈，吸引了近100名教職員參與。

司法警察局講者於講座上向澳大教職員介紹了本澳詐騙個案上升的情況、新型及常見的騙案手法（如：電話詐騙、網絡詐騙）、防騙錦囊及防騙策略、學校安全聯絡網的宣傳工作，以及詐騙案件之應對處理手法（如：怎樣處理學生之舉報）。

大學希望透過是次講座，加強教職員對各類詐騙手法有更全面的瞭解，並能提高防騙的意識和遇到詐騙案件時的應對技巧。

UM holds In-house Staff Training on “Chinese Culture and Wisdom” and “Defence of National Security from the Perspective of the Constitution and the Basic Law”

In order to enhance UM staff members’ understanding of the nation, the Human Resources Section of the Office of Administration organized in-house training courses on “Chinese Culture and Wisdom” and “Defence of National Security from the Perspective of the Constitution and the Basic Law” on 21 February and 27 February 2023 respectively.

Prof. ZHU Shoutong, Director of Centre for Chinese History and Culture of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FAH), shared the history and interesting interpretations of the Analects, the Mencius, Chinese poetry, as well as the different aspects of Chinese wisdom. Nearly 120 colleagues participated.

Dr. KONG Wa, Senior Instructor of the Faculty of Law (FLL), introduced the holistic approach to national security, the constitutional obligation of the Macao SAR to safeguard national security, and the establishment of National Security Law in the Macao SAR. Over 110 colleagues attended the training.

The University hopes that these training courses can enhance staff members’ knowledge on national security, arouse their interest in Chinese culture and wisdom, promoting patriotism and strengthening their national pride.

為增強大學教職員對國家的認識，行政部人力資源處於2023年2月21日及2月27日分別舉辦了「認識中華文化與國學智慧」及「從憲法基本法看維護國家安全」內部培訓課程。

人文學院中國歷史文化中心主任朱壽桐教授分享了關於《論語》、《孟子》、中國詩歌的歷史和有趣見解，以及國學智慧的各種面向。約120名員工參與此課程。

法學院高級導師江華博士介紹了總體國家安全觀 、澳門特區維護國家安全的憲制責任 ，以及澳門特區維護國家安全法的建立。超過110名員工參與此課程。

大學希望透過上述培訓課程加強員工對國家安全的認識，提高員工對中華文化與國學智慧的興趣，弘揚愛國愛澳精神，並增強員工的民族自豪感及家國情懷。
